Literature and Culture for an Intercultural Didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL)

This work evolves around a main purpose: to analyze the role of literature in the pedagogy of Spanish as a Foreign Language from an intercultural perspective. From this standpoint, we reflect about the importance of the term Spanish Literature to defend the different literatures implied in the syntagm; hence, we study how comparative literature becomes the main tool to understand linguistic, cultural and literary diversity. El cómic desde la educación lectora: confluencias, interrogantes y desafíos para la investigación

Los autores realizan un panorama crítico de la investigación en torno al cómic y la formación de lectores a partir del análisis del discurso académico generado en torno al objeto de estudio. Su investigación revisa las concomitancias e intersecciones entre el cómic y la didáctica y la literatura infantil y juvenil y reflexiona sobre las consecuencias, debates y prejuicios que ha generado esta interrelación en relación con su estatus académico y social. Asimismo, examinan con rigor los principales problemas que recorren de forma transversal la investigación sobre la historieta, derivados entre otros, de la complejidad de su definición, su ubicación epistemológica y adscripción a la cultura de masas y el receptor infantil desde el marco de la educación lectora y literaria

De la investigación a la construcción de la identidad lectora del docente: educación poética y didáctica de la literatura. From research to the construction of the teacher's reading identity: poetic education and didactic of literature

Poetry constitutes a possibility of extraordinary potential for literary education claimed by different specialists that, however, is still far from being a reality at different educational levels. For this reason, the authors wonder about the situation of research on poetry in the contemporary literature education and they offer an approach to the academic production on the subject through Dialnet and the articles published in three emblematic journals of didactics of language and literature: Didactica, Lenguaje y Textos y Tejuelo. The thematic analysis reveals different study trends, but also gaps and future work paths, among which the researchers' commitment to teacher training stands out as an intersection space between research and praxis in the training of readers.La poesía constituye una posibilidad de extraordinario potencial para la educación literaria reclamada por diferentes especialistas que sin embargo todavía dista mucho de ser una realidad en los diferentes niveles educativos. Por este motivo, los autores se preguntan sobre la situación de la investigación en torno a la poesía en la didáctica de la literatura contemporánea y ofrecen una aproximación a la producción académica sobre la temática a través de Dialnet y los artículos publicados en tres revistas emblemáticas de didáctica de la lengua y la literatura: Didáctica, Lenguaje y Textos y Tejuelo. El análisis temático revela diferentes tendencias de estudio, pero también lagunas y vías de trabajo futuras, entre las que destaca la apuesta de los investigadores por la formación docente como espacio de intersección entre la investigación y la praxis en la formación de lectores

Book tráiler en Educación Infantil y Primaria: adquisición y desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa, digital y literaria a través de narrativas digitales

Digital narratives become a useful pedagogical resource for teachers because these narratives catch students attention and fit their interests, and  allow the acquisition and development of diverse skills and competences. In language and literature pedagogy, digital narratives imply a methodological proposal which renews traditional approaches focused on the memorization of authors’ biographies, masterworks, literary movements, and paper as the only possible medium for reading. For this reason, our work is focused on the study of the possibilities of book-trailers for literary and reading education in Kindergarten and K12 education, through the experience of research and innovation conducted with future teachers at the University of Valencia.Las narrativas digitales constituyen una herramienta pedagógica de gran utilidad para el docente tanto por el interés que suscitan en el alumnado, como por sus posibilidades para la adquisición y desarrollo de distintas competencias. En el ámbito de didáctica de la lengua y la literatura suponen una propuesta metodológica renovadora de planteamientos tradicionales centrados en la memorización de autores, obras y movimientos y del texto en papel como único soporte de lectura. Por este motivo, nuestro trabajo se centra en el estudio de las posibilidades del book tráiler para la educación lectora y literaria en educación infantil y primaria a partir de una experiencia de investigación e innovación llevada a cabo con futuros maestros de la Universidad de Valencia

L’apprentissage de la lecture et la littérature dans des contextes multiculturels. Une perspective éducative inclusive

This article exposes the potential of reading and literary education in multicultural and multilingual contexts, as well as, recommend its importance not only on the acquisition and development in stable reading habits, but as an essential foundation for the construction of much more equal and democratic societies. Directly opposed to a great numbers of pessimistic voices that alert about the dangers in the increasing migratory movements, and their consequences as migrating students in all the different levels at Spanish schools in the country. Researchers stand for the possibilities of literature and reading didactics in the development and consolidation of reading, literary and intercultural competences, and therefore, in this sense, reveal the magnitude of the literary text from an educative and inclusive perspective that allows the construction of the citizenship. Los autores exponen el potencial de la educación lectora y literaria en cuanto a su función en contextos multiculturales y plurilingües se refiere y preconizan su importancia no sólo en la adquisición y desarrollo de hábitos de lectura estables, sino como un pilar esencial en el compromiso de la construcción de sociedades más igualitarias y democráticas. En oposición directa al gran número de agoreras voces que alertan sobre los peligros del aumento de las migraciones y sus consecuencias en forma de alumnado inmigrante en las aulas de los diferentes niveles educativos del Estado español, los investigadores abogan por las posibilidades de la didáctica de la literatura y de la lectura en el descubrimiento y la consolidación de las competencias lectora, literaria e intercultural y, por tanto, en este sentido, revelan la magnitud del texto literario desde una perspectiva educativa e inclusiva en la construcción de la ciudadanía.Les auteurs présentent le potentiel de la lecture et de l’éducation littéraire et son rôle dans des contextes multiculturels et multilingues, en plaidant son importance non seulement dans l’acquisition et le développement des habitudes de lecture stables, mais aussi comme un pilier essentiel de l’engagement pour la construction de sociétés plus démocratiques et égalitaires. S’opposant directement au grand nombre de voix menaçantes qui avertissent des dangers de l’augmentation de la migration et de ses conséquences sous la forme d’élèves immigrants dans les salles de classe des diverses niveaux d’enseignement de l’État espagnol, les chercheurs préconisent les possibilités de l’enseignement de la littérature et de la lecture dans la découverte et la consolidation des compétences de lecture, littéraires et inter culturelles. Par conséquent, dans ce sens, ils révèlent l’amplitude du texte littéraire dès une perspective éducative et inclusive dans la construction de la citoyenneté

Autobiografías y clásicos en la educación literaria de los futuros docentes e investigadores / Reading-life histories and classics in literary education of future teachers and researchers

Este trabajo se enmarca en la línea de investigación desarrollada por los autores en torno al discurso autobiográfico o historias de vida y la lectura, en especial, del futuro docente. Nos centramos aquí en la exploración de los factores educativos y socioculturales que influyen en la iniciación lectora y el posterior desarrollo y adquisición de la competencia lectora y literaria de un grupo de lectores competentes (31 estudiantes del Máster de Investigación en Didácticas Específicas, en la especialidad de Educación Literaria y Lingüística). De acuerdo con este objetivo, realizamos un análisis descriptivo e interpretativo de su experiencia lectora, los itinerarios personales lectores desde la infancia, su concepción de la lectura y en concreto, la lectura literaria y la formación literaria recibida. Los datos revelan una valiosa información en torno a la concepción de clásico por parte de esta población y su influencia en la formación de hábitos de lectores y el disfrute literario. This work is part of the line of research developed by the authors around the reading-life biographies, in particular, of future teachers. In this paper, we focus on the exploration of educational and sociocultural factors which influence the younger reader and the subsequent development and acquisition of the literary reading competence in a group of competent readers (31 students in the Master of Research in Specific Pedagogy, in the major of Literary and Linguistic Education). According to this aim, we carried out a descriptive and interpretative analysis of their reading experience, their reading personal itineraries from childhood, their conception of reading and, in particular, their literary training received in reading. The data reveals a valuable information around their conception of classicism and its influence on the formation of reading habits and the enjoyment of literature
