    Årsstudium i organisasjon og ledelse, 2013Ledelse kan utĂžves og oppleves pĂ„ mange ulike mĂ„ter, dette har vi fĂ„tt kunnskap om gjennom vĂ„rt studie i organisasjon og ledelse. VĂ„r prosjektoppgave er en del av dette studiet. FormĂ„let med prosjektet er Ă„ belyse hvordan ledere utĂžvde ledelse og hvordan dette ble oppfattet av medarbeiderne. VĂ„rt forskningsspĂžrsmĂ„l ble ”Hvordan oppleves utfĂžrt ledelse?”. Det teoretiske fundament for oppgaven baserer seg pĂ„ relasjonsteori. Grunnlagsmateriale ble samlet inn via intervjuer av informanter gjennom kvalitativ metode. VĂ„r oppgave viser at utĂžvd ledelse oppfattes forskjellig av medarbeidere og ledere. Dette bekrefter vĂ„r hypotese om at medarbeidere oppfatter utĂžvd ledelse pĂ„ en annen mĂ„te, enn lederne oppfatter det selv. Det vil si at opplevelsen av ledelse er avhengig av hvilken posisjon og stĂ„sted en har. Alle gir imidlertid utrykk for Ăžnsker om gode relasjoner som kan fĂžre til positivt arbeidsmiljĂž og gode resultater for organisasjonen.     Denne rapporten tar for seg velferden til 8 grupper av triploid laks satt ut i Nord-Norge vÄr, sommer og hÞst 2018. VÄrutsettene fikk varierende velferd og dÞdelighet. Dette skyltes i stor grad at disse fiskegruppene hadde med seg iboende svakheter fra settefiskfasen. Sommerutsettene unngikk parvikapsulose og (som forventet) fikk lav dÞdelighet, mens hÞstutsettene fikk hÞy dÞdelighet. Begge gruppene med triploid laks satt ut om hÞsten fikk utbrudd av parvikapsulose og vintersÄr. Disse resultatene stemmer godt overens med resultatene fra fÞrste samlerapport for 2014-2017 generasjonene. Av de 8 gruppene med triploid laks satt ut i 2018 fikk 3 pÄvist ILA og mÄtte destrueres. SÄ langt i prosjektet (alle generasjoner, 2014-2018) har 70% av de triploide vÄrutsettene, 55 % av sommerutsettene og 0 % av hÞstutsettene med triploid laks hatt merder som oppnÄdde lav snittdÞdelighet for hele produksjonen.publishedVersio

    Physiological Responses and Physical Performance during Football in the Heat

    PURPOSE: To examine the impact of hot ambient conditions on physical performance and physiological responses during football match-play. METHODS: Two experimental games were completed in temperate (∌ 21°C; CON) and hot ambient conditions (∌ 43°C; HOT). Physical performance was assessed by match analysis in 17 male elite players during the games and a repeated sprint test was conducted after the two game trials. Core and muscle temperature were measured and blood samples were obtained, before and after the games. RESULTS: Muscle and core temperatures were ∌ 1°C higher (P<0.05) in HOT (40.3 ± 0.1 and 39.5 ± 0.1°C, respectively) compared to CON (39.2 ± 0.1 and 38.3 ± 0.1°C). Average heart rate, plasma lactate concentration, body weight loss as well as post-game sprint performance were similar between the two conditions. Total game distance declined (P<0.05) by 7% and high intensity running (>14 km ⋅ h(-1)) by 26% in HOT compared to CON), but peak sprint speed was 4% higher (P<0.05) in HOT than in CON, while there were no differences in the quantity or length of sprints (>24 km ⋅ h(-1)) between CON and HOT. In HOT, success rates for passes and crosses were 8 and 9% higher (P<0.05), respectively, compared to CON. Delta increase in core temperature and absolute core temperature in HOT were correlated to total game distance in the heat (r = 0.85 and r = 0.53, respectively; P<0.05), whereas, total and high intensity distance deficit between CON and HOT were not correlated to absolute or delta changes in muscle or core temperature. CONCLUSION: Total game distance and especially high intensity running were lower during a football game in the heat, but these changes were not directly related to the absolute or relative changes in core or muscle temperature. However, peak sprinting speed and execution of successful passes and crosses were improved in the HOT condition

    The assessment of neuromuscular fatigue during 120 min of simulated soccer exercise

    Purpose This investigation examined the development of neuromuscular fatigue during a simulated soccer match incorporating a period of extra time (ET) and the reliability of these responses on repeated test occasions. Methods Ten male amateur football players completed a 120 min soccer match simulation (SMS). Before, at half time (HT), full time (FT), and following a period of ET, twitch responses to supramaximal femoral nerve and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) were obtained from the knee-extensors to measure neuromuscular fatigue. Within 7 days of the first SMS, a second 120 min SMS was performed by eight of the original ten participants to assess the reliability of the fatigue response. Results At HT, FT, and ET, reductions in maximal voluntary force (MVC; −11, −20 and −27%, respectively, P ≀ 0.01), potentiated twitch force (−15, −23 and −23%, respectively, P < 0.05), voluntary activation (FT, −15 and ET, −18%, P ≀ 0.01), and voluntary activation measured with TMS (−11, −15 and −17%, respectively, P ≀ 0.01) were evident. The fatigue response was robust across both trials; the change in MVC at each time point demonstrated a good level of reliability (CV range 6–11%; ICC2,1 0.83–0.94), whilst the responses identified with motor nerve stimulation showed a moderate level of reliability (CV range 5–18%; ICC2,1 0.63–0.89) and the data obtained with motor cortex stimulation showed an excellent level of reliability (CV range 3–6%; ICC2,1 0.90–0.98). Conclusion Simulated soccer exercise induces a significant level of fatigue, which is consistent on repeat tests, and involves both central and peripheral mechanisms

    Mediation and the Best Interests of the Child from the Child Law Perspective

    What is the best interests of the child in family mediation and is mediation in the best interests of the child? In this article, I use child law and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child combined with mediation theory to discuss these questions. Both mediation and the best interests of the child are open for multiple interpretations. Using facilitative and evaluative mediation theory and the legal concept ‘the best interests of the child’, I explore and compare the understandings of these concepts as they apply to family mediation. This includes a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of facilitative as well as evaluative mediation orientations in terms of protecting the best interests of the child. Finnish court-connected family mediation is a combination of both mediation orientations, and the mediator is obliged to secure the best interests of the child. From a theoretical point of view, this seems to be a challenging combination.Peer reviewe

    Constraints on Energy Intake in Fish: The Link between Diet Composition, Energy Metabolism, and Energy Intake in Rainbow Trout

    The hypothesis was tested that fish fed to satiation with iso-energetic diets differing in macronutrient composition will have different digestible energy intakes (DEI) but similar total heat production. Four iso-energetic diets (2×2 factorial design) were formulated having a contrast in i) the ratio of protein to energy (P/E): high (HP/E) vs. low (LP/E) and ii) the type of non-protein energy (NPE) source: fat vs. carbohydrate which were iso-energetically exchanged. Triplicate groups (35 fish/tank) of rainbow trout were hand-fed each diet twice daily to satiation for 6 weeks under non-limiting water oxygen conditions. Feed intake (FI), DEI (kJ kg−0.8 d−1) and growth (g kg−0.8 d−1) of trout were affected by the interaction between P/E ratio and NPE source of the diet (P<0.05). Regardless of dietary P/E ratio, the inclusion of carbohydrate compared to fat as main NPE source reduced DEI and growth of trout by ∌20%. The diet-induced differences in FI and DEI show that trout did not compensate for the dietary differences in digestible energy or digestible protein contents. Further, changes in body fat store and plasma glucose did not seem to exert a homeostatic feedback control on DEI. Independent of the diet composition, heat production of trout did not differ (P>0.05). Our data suggest that the control of DEI in trout might be a function of heat production, which in turn might reflect a physiological limit related with oxidative metabolism

    Effect of salinity on the biosynthesis of n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids in silverside Chirostoma estor

    The genus Chirostoma (silversides) belongs to the family Atherinopsidae, which contains around 150 species, most of which are marine. However, Mexican silverside (Chirostoma estor) is one of the few representatives of freshwater atherinopsids and is only found in some lakes of the Mexican Central Plateau. However, studies have shown that C. estor has improved survival, growth and development when cultured in water conditions with increased salinity. In addition, C. estor displays an unusual fatty acid composition for a freshwater fish with high docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) : eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) ratios. Freshwater and marine fish species display very different essential fatty acid metabolism and requirements and so the present study investigated long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LC-PUFA) biosynthesis to determine the capacity of C. estor for endogenous production of EPA and DHA, and the effect that salinity has on these pathways. Briefly, C. estor were maintained at three salinities (0, 5 and 15 ppt) and the metabolism of 14C-labelled 18:3n-3 determined in isolated hepatocyte and enterocyte cells. The results showed that C. estor has the capacity for endogenous biosynthesis of LC-PUFA from 18-carbon fatty acid precursors, but that the pathway was essentially only active in saline conditions with virtually no activity in cells isolated from fish grown in freshwater. The activity of the LCPUFA biosynthesis pathway was also higher in cells isolated from fish at 15 ppt compared to fish at 5 ppt, The pathway was around 5-fold higher in hepatocytes compared to enterocytes, although the majority of 18:3n-3 was converted to 18:4n-3 and 20:4n-3 in hepatocytes whereas the proportions of 18:3n-3 converted to EPA and DHA were higher in enterocytes. The data were consistent with the hypothesis that conversion of EPA to DHA could contribute, at least in part, to the generally high DHA:EPA ratios observed in the tissue lipids of C. estor
