Propuesta de planificación estratégica aplicando la metodología balanced scorecard en el Centro de Rehabilitación Hellen Keller

El Centro Hellen Keller, dedicado a la rehabilitación de niños autistas, tiene el anhelo futuro de establecer un centro fuerte y estable con solvencia económica; para poder contar con mayor infraestructura, mejorar las condiciones laborales, proporcionar metodologías innovadoras y específicas de rehabilitación. Es por ello que se ha impuesto como objetivo principal el generar un plan estratégico, correspondiente al periodo 2012- 2017, que optimice la ejecución de sus actividades; garantizando la estabilidad y crecimiento del centro, y de esta manera darse a conocer dentro de la ciudad de Quito y promover los servicios a la ciudadanía. Mediante el análisis FODA tanto administrativo como financiero, se arrojó como resultado que el Centro necesita una reestructuración, utilizando su mayor fortaleza que es la falta de competencia. La investigación se basa en la ayuda social, comprometer al personal en su labor, dar a conocer al Centro mediante publicidad, incrementar sus ventas, y llevar una contabilidad confiable con sus respectivas proyecciones financieras. La investigación aplica el Balanced ScoreCard.Hellen Keller Center, dedicated to the rehabilitation of autistic children, has the future desire to establish a strong center and stable financial solvency in order to have more infrastructures, improve working conditions, providing innovative and specific rehabilitation methodologies. That is why the Center has set as its main goal to generate an strategic plan for the period 2012 - 2017, to optimize the execution of their activities, guaranteeing the stability and growth of the center, and thus make themselves known within the Quito city and promote its services to citizens. Through administrative and financial SWOT analysis, the results states that the Center needs restructuring, using its greatest strength, the lack of competition on the field. The research is based on social support, engage staff in its work, become a very well-known Rehabilitation Center Hellen Keller through advertising, increase sales, and keep accounts with their respective reliable financial projections. Mejora de las propiedades mecánicas de un sistema compuesto cementicio mediante el uso de un tejido de sisal diseñado.

En los últimos años, los materiales compuestos FRCM (fabric-reinforced ementitious matrix composites) producidos con tejidos de fibras naturales se han convertido en potenciales sustitutos de sistemas compuestos de fibras sintéticas o minerales. La eficiencia de los materiales compuestos FRCM depende, entre otras cosas, de su capacidad de adherencia y transmisión de los esfuerzos internos entre sus componentes. En esta investigación se diseñó un sistema frcm cementicio reforzado con tejidos de sisal para que alcance niveles satisfactorios de adherencia y resistencia. Para mejorar sus propiedades mecánicas y obtener un sistema adecuado para el reforzamiento de elementos de hormigón armado, fue necesario el diseño y fabricación de tejidos de sisal de características geométricas particulares, favorables a la penetrabilidad. El comportamiento mecánico del sistema FRCM diseñado en este estudio se verificó llevando a cabo pruebas de corte SLS (Single Lap Shear test) y pruebas pull-off. los resultados se compararon con aquellos obtenidos probando materiales compuestos FRCM producidos con tejidos no diseñados de sisal.In recent years, frcm (fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix) composites produced with fabrics of natural fibres have become potential substitutes for composite systems produced with synthetic or mineral fibres. The efficiency of FRCM composites depends, among other things, on their ability to bond and transmit internal stresses between their components. in this research, a cementitious frcm system reinforced with sisal fabrics was designed to achieve satisfactory levels of bond and strength. To improve the mechanical properties of the material and obtain a proper method for strengthening reinforced concrete elements, sisal fabrics with particular geometrical characteristics, favourable to penetrability, were designed and manufactured. the mechanical behaviour of the frcm system developed in this study was verified by performing SLS (Single Lap Shear) and pull-off tests. The results were compared with those obtained by testing frcm composite materials produced with non-designed sisal fabrics

Relación médico – paciente: un buen negocio

Este artículo expresa las vivencias de la rotación de consulta externa en el año de internado, donde se atendieron pacientes adultos de diferente sexo, nivel socioeconómico y patología. Durante la consulta se practicó una buena relación médico paciente, de donde se sacaron varias conclusiones importantes; además se realizó una búsqueda de literatura sobre relación médico paciente, con el fin de identificar problemas y ofrecer recomendaciones prácticas a los estudiantes de Medicina para su desempeño futuro en la atención de pacientes, las cuales consideramos si se aplican de manera rutinaria lograrán un bienestar físico, psicológico y social tanto al paciente como al médico

Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence and Social Skills in Students with Autism Between 12 And 14 Years Old

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la relación entre habilidades sociales e inteligencia emocional en alumnado con Autismo entre 12 y 14 años de edad, se pretende beneficiar de manera directa el desarrollo humano integral y socioemocional, en los estudiantes que poseen trastorno del Espectro Autista y de manera indirecta a los estudiantes regulares, la investigación posee un diseño descriptivo, correlacional, no experimental y de corte transversal, para el análisis de la variable habilidades sociales se utiliza el instrumento ABAS II y para la variable inteligencia emocional se utiliza el instrumento psicológico Bar-On EQ-i: YV, con la aplicación de los reactivos se responde a la hipótesis inicial la cual busca encontrar una relación positiva y estadísticamente significante, entre habilidades sociales e inteligencia emocional, como se ha podido analizar en las diferentes investigaciones, el entrenamiento en habilidades sociales repercute de forma directa y positiva, en  las personas con Trastorno del Espectro Autista, mejorando su calidad de vida mientras que en el ámbito educativo es importante la identificación de la relación entre las variables, con la finalidad de incorporar programas que permitan el entrenamiento de las habilidades socioemocionales al pensum académico, para potenciar el desarrollo humano integral y socioemocional, de los estudiantes regulares y en estudiantes que poseen un trastorno del Espectro Autista.The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between social skills and emotional intelligence in students with Autism between 12 and 14 years of age, it is intended to directly benefit the integral human and socio-emotional development, in students who have Autism Spectrum disorder and indirectly to regular students, the research has a descriptive, correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, for the analysis of the social skills variable the ABAS II instrument is used and for the emotional intelligence variable the psychological instrument Bar- On EQ-i: YV, with the application of the reagents, the initial hypothesis is answered, which seeks to find a positive and statistically significant relationship between social skills and emotional intelligence, as has been analyzed in the different investigations, training in Social skills have a direct and positive impact on people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, improving their quality of life, while in the educational field it is important to identify the relationship between the variables, with the aim of incorporating programs that allow training. of socio-emotional skills to the academic curriculum, to enhance the integral human and socio-emotional development of regular students and students who have an Autism Spectrum disorder

Analysis of the emotional state of athletes resident of the concentración deportiva de pichincha

El objetivo de esta investigación es describir los estados emocionales presentes en los deportistas  de la Concentración Deportiva de Pichincha y los factores  asociados que se encuentran relacionados, para esta variación estos pueden ser; sociales, económicos y la falta de apoyo por los familiares o por su entrenador  para lo cual se realizó una encuesta sociodemográfica mientras que para poder determinar el estado de ánimo que presentan los deportistas residentes de la Concentración Deportiva de Pichincha se realizó la aplicación del instrumento POMS el que nos permite analizar los rangos de los estados de ánimo presentes en los deportistas, la metodología utilizada para la elaboración de esta investigación es un estudio cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo, de tipo transversal, en cuanto el análisis de los resultados se realizó en una hoja de cálculo en la que se extrajo la media, moda y mediana de las puntuaciones de tensión-ansiedad, depresión-melancolía, angustia-hostilidad-cólera, vigor-activación, fatiga-inercia y confusión-orientación.The objective of this research is to describe the states of emotions present in athletes Concentración Deportiva de Pichincha and the associated factors that are related, for this variation these can be; social, economic and the lack of support by family members or by their coach for which a sociodemographic survey was carried out while in order to determine the state of mind presented by the resident athletes of the Pichincha Sports Concentration, the application of the POMS instrument was carried out. which allows us to analyze the ranges of mood states present in athletes, the methodology used for the elaboration of this research is a quantitative study of a descriptive type, of a cross-sectional type, insofar as the analysis of the results was carried out on a sheet calculation in which the mean, mode and median of the pressures of tension-anxiety, depression-melancholy, anguish-hostility-anger, vigor-activation, fatigue-inertia and confusion-orientation were extracted

Interlaboratory exercise for the analysis of carotenoids and related compounds in dried mango fruit (Mangifera indica L.)

An interlaboratory comparison was done for the analysis of carotenoids in freeze-dried mango. The study was performed from July to September 2018. Mango fruit was freeze-dried, homogenized, and packaged under vacuum conditions in portions of 6 g (test sample). Two test samples were sent to the participating laboratories for analysis. Laboratory results were rated using Z-scores in accordance with ISO 13528 and ISO 17043. The standard deviation for proficiency assessment (also called target standard deviation) was determined using a modified Horwitz function and varied between 10% and 25%, depending on the analyte. Out of 14 laboratories from 10 different countries, 9 laboratories (64%) obtained a satisfactory performance (Z ≤ 2) for the analysis of β-carotene. While for 7 laboratories that analyzed α-carotene, (9Z)-β-carotene, β-cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin, 4 laboratories (57%) obtained a satisfactory performance. However, only 2 laboratories out of 7 (29%) obtained a satisfactory performance for lutein. Based on the comparability of the analytical results, this study concludes that freeze-dried mango pulp can be used as a reference material for the analysis of α and β-carotene, (9Z)-β-carotene, β-cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin by applying different analytical procedures for their extraction and quantification.This work was performed within the frame of the TEAM EC2017TEA442A103 VLIR-UOS project “Improving Ecuadorian child nutrition by using mango by-products as potential sources of bioactive compounds”.
