Dual-pumped degenerate Kerr oscillator in a silicon nitride microresonator

We demonstrate a degenerate parametric oscillator in a silicon-nitride microresonator. We use two frequency-detuned pump waves to perform parametric four-wave mixing and operate in the normal group-velocity dispersion regime to produce signal and idler fields that are frequency degenerate. Our theoretical modeling shows that this regime enables generation of bimodal phase states, analogous to the \c{hi}(2)-based degenerate OPO. Our system offers potential for realization of CMOS-chip-based coherent optical computing and an all-optical quantum random number generator

Mental Health of Dentists during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Critical Literature Review

The effects of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the mental health of healthcare professionals has become a concern, particularly among those who are in close contact with infected patients, including dentists. The aim of this critical literature review was to analyze the possible implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of dentists. This bibliographic search was carried out in the PubMed, Web of Science and Scopus databases, using the following search keywords “Psychiatry OR anxiety OR fear OR depression OR psychological distress OR mental health” AND “COVID-19 OR SARS-CoV-2” AND “Dentists OR dental practice. Original research publications that included data on the mental health status of dentists during the COVID-19 pandemic were included. Data were tabulated in Microsoft Excel 2016 for Windows and descriptively presented. Eleven publications were eligible for this review. All studies had cross-sectional design. Most of them used questionnaires created by study researchers (81.8%) and were carried out in Italy (45.5%). The number of participants ranged from 14 to 1,500. Effects on the mental health of dentists during the COVID-19 pandemic were observed, regarding fear of contamination, anxiety, concerns, stress, depression, job insecurity, subjective overload, perceived risk and feelings and emotions. It was concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic had negative impact on the mental health of dentists, with high prevalence of fear, anxiety and concern, among other psychological symptoms

A Reference Matrix for Information System in Supply Chain Management

Considering the importance of information systems (ISs) in supply chain management (SCM), an attempt has been made in this paper to review the literature concerning reference models that organize the different ISs necessary for the success of a supply chain under a SCM perspective. These ISs are generally organized in a SCM matrix formed by two dimensions: decision levels (the vertical axis) and supply chain business processes (the horizontal axis). The goal of this paper is to conduct an exploratory study concerning SCM matrixes for IS in order to bring out pertinent factors that would support other researchers<br />and practitioners in understanding the organization of ISs in SCM. Several reference models based on the SCM matrix were identified and analyzed and then used to form the basis of a general framework that was applied to two supply chain cases in Brazil

Detectamos três momentos iniciais fundamentais, segundo os quais Deleuze investiga a noção de sentido em sua Lógica do Sentido. O primeiro relata o espaço entre a primeira (Do Puro Devir) e a terceira série (Da Proposição), e é o que apresenta o sentido como acontecimento, na medida em que o autor leva a termo uma interpretação do estoicismo.1 O segundo é aquele em que faz uma conexão com o conceito de estrutura e parte em busca de uma espécie de ontologia do sentido. Estamos no intervalo entre a quarta (Das Dualidades) e a oitava séries (Da Estrutura).2 A última porção deste percurso – espaço principal do presente texto – refere as séries em que, a partir dos ganhos e das relações obtidos com as texturas conceituais do acontecimento e da estrutura, o filósofo trama a apresentação do sentido como produção. Memória e acervo no teatro: um estudo de caso do acervo audiovisual do CPMT do Centro Cultural Galpão Cine Horto

As an audiovisual technician from the Theater Course at the Federal University of Uberlândia, I searched for subsidies to make an audiovisual archive of the above- mentioned course. For this purpose, I have done this research in the form of a case study about the founding and maintenance of the audiovisual archives of the CPMT - Centro de Pesquisa e Memória do Teatro (Center of Theater Research and Memory), located at the Centro Cultural Galpão Cine Horto (Belo Horizonte-MG), an institution affiliated to Grupo Galpão de Teatro (Group Galpão of Theater). To this end I reflect on the concepts of memory, information and audiovisual, associating these concepts to the field of theater. Two field surveys were conducted consisting of interviews with students, teachers and managers from the Centro Cultural. The research presents the following structure: in the first chapter, I reflect on the concepts of memory, information, documentation, associating the discussion to the fleeting character of theater art. For this, I base myself on the studies of Jacques Le Goff on the concept of document/monument and Pierre Nora on the realms of memory, still in this chapter, I make a brief overview of the principal institutions that take care of memory of the theater in Brazil. On the second chapter, I discuss on resources and procedures of acquiring and organizing an audiovisual archive, making a brief historical overview on the development and the manipulation of the technological image. In the third part, through field surveys and the bibliography used, I discuss on creation procedures, maintenance, and availability of the CPMT audiovisual archive, aiming at, not only contributing to the appreciation of theater memory, but also in providing, to artists and parties concerned, technical information on audiovisual archives in the field of theater.Dissertação (Mestrado)Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo central a análise e reflexão dos conceitos de memória, informação e audiovisual em relação aos acervos teatrais no Brasil, centralizando a discussão a partir da análise do histórico de gestão, criação e manutenção do acervo do Centro de Pesquisa e Memória do Teatro - CPMT, fundado pelo Galpão Cine Horto, vertente administrativa e institucional do Grupo Galpão de produção teatral (Belo Horizonte - MG). Sedimentando pela pesquisa de campo - entrevistas e visitação do acervo - e norteado pela modalidade do estudo de caso, a pesquisa apresenta a seguinte estruturação: no primeiro capítulo reflito os conceitos de memória, informação, espaços e documentação, atrelando tais noções ao caráter efêmero da arte teatral. Para tal, valo- me dos estudos de Jacques Le Goff e Pierre Nora sobre os lugares da memória. No segundo capítulo discuto as implicações acerca dos recursos e procedimentos de captação e organização de um acervo audiovisual, realizando um breve panorama histórico sobre o desenvolvimento e manipulação da imagem tecnológica. Na terceira seção, através da pesquisa de campo e bibliografia acionada, debruço-me sobre procedimentos de criação, manutenção e disponibilização do acervo audiovisual do CPMT, relacionando as práticas observadas aos processos às plataformas de acesso aos acervos teatrais do país, visando não somente contribuir com a memória do teatro, bem como atentar artistas e interessados pelo tema sobre a importância estética e informacional na constituição de acervos em audiovisual na área teatral

Este artigo é resultado do desdobramento da tese de doutoramento: A Sistematização da Educação Pública Municipal no Governo de Carlos Cavalcanti Mangabeira (1925-1929) no município de Bagé/RS. Neste sentido, pretendemos estabelecer diálogos historiográficos e narrativas históricas sobre às concepções positivistas estabelecidas e presentes na Educação Republicana no município de Bagé-RS, no período da Primeira República (1889-1930), além de compreender como este pensamento educacional representou o pensamento social e hegemônico de uma época histórica, deixando importantes traços culturais e heranças patrimoniais para a sociedade bageense nas primeiras décadas do século XX. Neste sentido, o olhar dispensado para as fontes utilizadas no corpo deste trabalho ancorou-se pelo prisma da metodologia histórico-crítica, constituindo um arcabouço empírico capaz de articular as relações entre o escrito e o não-escrito dos documento

What activities are currently available to work with the various groups of students that are able to overcome the difficulties encountered in the teaching and learning process of mathematics? With this guiding question, the main goal was to know and analyze new educational activities capable of assisting the teacher in the teaching of mathematics in basic education for all students. The specific objectives are: to expose new methodologies to teachers, to contribute to the acquisition of knowledge about activities aimed at students that need differentiated care, to show that activities considered simple can make a lot of difference in students' learning. Regarding the methodology, we initially carried out a bibliographic research, followed by a qualitative analysis of the information obtained. In the course of the theoretical reference, a selection of activities proposed for the teacher in the teaching and learning process of his students was presented. There are group and individual activities, face- to-face and online activities. Through the research carried out for the elaboration of this work it was verified how vast is the field of recreational activities geared towards the teaching of mathematics. Through them teachers can diversify their classes making them appreciated and, with it, more participatory.Quais as atividades disponíveis na atualidade para se trabalhar com os diversos grupos de alunos existentes e que se mostram capazes de suprir as dificuldades encontradas no processo de ensino e de aprendizagem da disciplina de matemática? Com essa questão norteadora buscou-se, primeiramente, como objetivo geral, conhecer e analisar novas atividades educacionais capazes de auxiliar o professor no ensino da disciplina de matemática na educação básica para todos os alunos. Já como objetivos específicos, temos: expor novas metodologias aos professores, contribuir para a aquisição de conhecimentos acerca de atividades voltadas a alunos que necessitam de atendimento diferenciado, mostrar que atividades consideradas simples podem fazer muita diferença no aprendizado dos alunos. Com relação a metodologia, inicialmente realizamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica, seguida de uma análise qualitativa das informações obtidas. No decorrer do referencial teórico, foi apresentado uma seleção de atividades propostas para o professor no tocante ao processo de ensino e aprendizagem de seus alunos. Existem atividades em grupo e individuais, atividades presenciais e online. Através das pesquisas realizadas para a elaboração desse trabalho verificou-se quão vasto é o campo das atividades recreativas voltadas para o ensino da matemática.
