La interpretación social: hacia el reconocimiento de la profesión

Decenes Jornades de Foment de la Investigació de la FCHS (Any 2004-2005)El creciente aumento de población extranjera e inmigrante en cualquier país genera nuevas necesidades de comunicación y el reto está en subsanar todos aquellos problemas que subyacen de la barrera que representa el idioma. España, caracterizada tradicionalmente por ser zona de emigración se está convirtiendo en país de destino de inmigrantes de diferentes nacionalidades. Con el presente trabajo pretendemos justificar la necesidad de la interpretación social como profesión dentro del ámbito sanitario en Andalucía, y más concretamente en Córdoba. A través de entrevistas y un cuestionario hemos intentado recabar opiniones del personal sanitario del hospital universitario Reina Sofía de Córdoba y del hospital Infanta Margarita de la localidad cordobesa de Cabra sobre la figura del intérprete social y su relevancia como mediador comunicativo entre el proveedor de los servicios sanitarios y el usuario de estos servicios

The next pages will describe my experience and results of making connections between cognitive sciences and art; the transformations of my memories being the object of study and motivation for this process of self-discovery. The human body reacts according to innumerable neural functions and external stimuli. Neurons respond to the evocation of experienced events, building virtual images, map-like constellations sometimes fulfilled by imagination, desires or knowledge promoting in this way their constant reshaping. This document offers an insight into my recollections as matter. As matter these recollections take on different states and I hope to give you a better sense of my personal voice using my experience with glass to explore this transformation and accompanying my journey with lectures and scientific readings about the mind functions

Lower Turolian mammals of Puente Minero (Teruel, Spain)

El yacimiento de Puente Minero (Teruel) ha suministrado una abundante y diversificada fauna de micro y macromamíferos que se ha datado como perteneciente al Turoliense inferior. Se han determinado catorce taxones de micromamíferos, destacando la abundancia de múridos (representados por las especies Occitanomys sondaari, Parapodemus cf.lugdunensis y Valerymys vireti) y de cricétidos (Hyspanomys freudenthali y Kowalskia fahlbuschi). También son muy numerosos los restos del lagomorfo Prolagus crusafonti. Otros taxones determinados, presentes en menor cantidad, son los roedores Eozapus intermedius, Eliomys truci, Heteroxerus cf. grivensis y Chalicomys sp., así como tres especies de insectívoros, y un quiróptero, Rhinolophus delphinensis. Los macromamíferos también se caracterizan por su diversidad de especies (quince taxones determinados) pero, salvo en los casos de Hipparion y Tragoportax, el material perteneciente a cada uno de ellos no es muy numeroso. La mayor parte de los restos corresponde a Hipparion, representado por dos especies, el común Hipparion primigenium y otra especie de talla pequeña, Hipparion gromovae, sólo conocida hasta el momento en el Turoliense superior. También abunda la especie Tragoportax gaudryi, bóvido común durante todo el Turoliense. Otras formas determinadas son cinco especies de carnívoros, cinco de artiodáctilos, una de perisodáctilo y una de proboscídeo. En este trabajo se describen los micromamíferos, los carnívoros y los artiodáctilos. La asociación de micromamíferos se parece a la de los yacimientos de Alfambra, Tortajada A, Valdecebro 4, Los Aguanaces y Vivero de Pinos, todos ellos situados en las proximidades de Puente Minero y cuya edad corresponde al Turoliense inferior (MN 11). El conjunto de macromamíferos, por su parte, se correlaciona con los de Piera (Vallés-Penedés) y Crevillente 2 (Alicante), ambos atribuidos también al Turoliense inferior. El interés de este trabajo radica en la documentación paleontológica de una edad poco conocida todavía y en la que son raros los hallazgos conjuntos de micro y macromamíferos.The Puente Minero (Teruel) locality has provided an abundant and diversified micro and macromammal fauna dated as lower Turolian. Fourteen micromammal taxa have been identified, with abundant murids (represented by the species Occitanomys sondaari, Parapodemus cf. lugdunensis, and Valerymys vireti) and cricetids (Hispanomys freudenthali and Kowalskia fahlbuschi). There are also numerous remains of the lagomorph Prolagus crusafonti. Other taxa determined, present in smaller numbers, are the rodents Eozapus intermedius, Eliomys truci, Heteroxerus cf. grivensis and Chalicomys sp., as well as three species of insectivores and the bat Rhinolophus delphinensis. The macromammal fauna is also noteworthy for the diversity (15 taxa) but, except for Hipparion and Tragoportax, the other species are poorly represented. The large part of these remains correspond to Hipparion, represented by two species, the common Hipparion primigenium and the small-sized Hipparion gromovae, only known to have existed, until now, during the late Turolian. The species Tragoportax gaudryi, a common bovid during the Turolian is also well represented. Other macromammals present are five species of carnivores, five artiodactyls, one perissodactyl, and one proboscidean. The micromammals, the carnivores, and the artiodactyls are described in this paper. The association of the micromammals is similar to those of the Alfambra, Tortajada A, Valdecebro 4, Los Aguanaces and Vivero de Pinos localities, all of wich are situated near Puente Minero and are of early Turolian (MN 11) age. As for the macromammal group, they are similar to Piera (Vallés-Penedés) and Crevillente 2 (Alicante), both of wich are also attributed to lower Turolian. The interest of this work is in the paleontological documentation of a period still widely unknown and in which it is rare to find micro and macromammals together.Peer reviewe

La Unión Europea y la Justicia Penal Internacional en Ucrania: Más allá del deber

Históricamente, la Unión Europea ha constituido un gran apoyo para la Corte Penal Internacional (CPI), tanto en su nacimiento, como en la integridad de su instrumento constitutivo (el Estatuto de Roma), así como en el desarrollo de sus funciones. Sin embargo, la agresión de la Federación Rusa a Ucrania ha propiciado el cumplimiento de un nuevo papel de la Unión Europea en su relación con la CPI y en la lucha contra la impunidad de los crímenes internacionales más graves cometidos en dicho conflicto. En este sentido, está siendo decisiva la actuación de Eurojust como centro de armonización de los esfuerzos investigadores en relación con los crímenes cometidos en Ucrania. Igualmente, la puesta en marcha de otros mecanismos novedosos por parte de la Unión Europea (un Equipo Conjunto de Investigación, una Base de Datos de Pruebas de Crímenes Internacionales de Especial Gravedad y un Centro Internacional para el enjuiciamiento del crimen de Agresión) revelan la consolidación de un rol inédito de la UE en la lucha contra la impunidad

Communication for Seniors' Inclusion in Today's Society: The Effects of Digitisation on Active Ageing

The progressive ageing of developed societies requires strategies and tools to ensure the well-being of older adults. The new communication paradigm offers ways to reduce the stigma associated with ageing and to improve the quality of life for older adults, but it can also create a dynamic that could put their inclusion at risk. The internet has fomented digital gaps that have exacerbated some of the exclusionary barriers faced by many older adults, while allowing a considerable number of others to maintain emotional ties with loved ones during the worst moments of the pandemic. This thematic issue addresses the different opportunities offered by Information and Communication Technology in improving the social inclusion and quality of life of seniors, but it also considers the risks that digitisation may pose by limiting certain rights of this group. Through the different articles in this issue, the repercussions of communication on the management of ageing are highlighted from different perspectives and methodological approaches. In this way, the complexity of the issue has been revealed, along with the need to address it from positive and constructive perspectives that reassess the role of older adults in the societies in which they live

Impact of woody semi-natural habitats on the abundance and diversity of green lacewings in olive orchards

Habitat management is a conservation biological control technique which helps to reduce the use of inputs in olive orchards and also to improve sustainability. Recent studies of olive orchards have pointed out that vegetation cover, which provides food resources, as well as reproduction and refuge sites, increases Chrysopidae populations and diversity. However, little is known about the effect of woody semi-natural habitats (SNHs) in olive orchards. In this context, our study aims to determine the attraction of adult Chrysopidae to different tree species in SNHs adjacent to olive orchards in order to promote the conservation biological control of this key predator. We vacuumed 75 almond, oak, olive and pine trees fortnightly between April and October of 2016. The trees were chosen at random and evenly distributed among five organic olive orchards selected according to their availability. Oak trees recorded the highest abundance, species richness and diversity levels of adult Chrysopidae, while olive trees had the highest abundance of Chrysopidae larvae. A total of 20 green lacewing species, belonging to seven different genera, were collected, of which Chrysoperla mutata (McLachlan, 1898), Chrysoperla pallida Henry et al., 2002 and Pseudomallada (prasinus) pp3 (Duelli and Henry, 2020) were the most abundant during the period of the study and had a preference for olive trees (C. mutata and C. pallida) and oak trees P. (prasinus) pp3. Furthermore, the number of Chrysopidae larvae collected showed a positive correlation with the percentage of predated eggs in the anthophagous and carpophagous generations of Prays oleae.Junta de Andalucia P12-AGR-141

Transparent but Accurate Evolutionary Regression Combining New Linguistic Fuzzy Grammar and a Novel Interpretable Linear Extension

Scientists must understand what machines do (systems should not behave like a black box), because in many cases how they predict is more important than what they predict. In this work, we propose a new extension of the fuzzy linguistic grammar and a mainly novel interpretable linear extension for regression problems, together with an enhanced new linguistic tree-based evolutionary multiobjective learning approach. This allows the general behavior of the data covered, as well as their specific variability, to be expressed as a single rule. In order to ensure the highest transparency and accuracy values, this learning process maximizes two widely accepted semantic metrics and also minimizes both the number of rules and the model mean squared error. The results obtained in 23 regression datasets show the effectiveness of the proposed method by applying statistical tests to the said metrics, which cover the different aspects of the interpretability of linguistic fuzzy models. This learning process has obtained the preservation of high-level semantics and less than 5 rules on average, while it still clearly outperforms some of the previous state-of-the-art linguistic fuzzy regression methods for learning interpretable regression linguistic fuzzy systems, and even to a competitive, pure accuracyoriented linguistic learning approach. Análisis comparativo de las aplicaciones Snapchat e Instagram: nuevas tendencias derivadas de su uso

[Resumen] Es difícil realizar una descripción de nuestra sociedad actual sin hacer mención a las conexiones que se establecen de forma online gracias a las redes sociales. Es por ello por lo que resulta digno de estudio realizar un análisis comparativo del flujo de consumo de dos importantes aplicaciones: Instagram y Snapchat, siendo su modelo de negocio bastante similar. El objetivo principal es observar la evolución de estas herramientas 2.0, así como comprobar si existe algún tipo de conexión entre el descenso de la popularidad de la aplicación del fantasma y la proliferación de la función de Instagram Stories. Por último, pero no menos importante, se explicarán las nuevas profesiones que han surgido a raíz de este tipo de aplicaciones, especialmente gracias a Instagram, que no sólo ha contribuido al aumento de usuarios de la plataforma, sino que se ha posicionado como una ventana de contacto con ellos. Además ha traído consigo nuevos modelos de negocio de los que tanto marcas como profesionales freelance se están beneficiando. Finalmente, es resaltable la consideración de un futuro incierto de este mundo online que se rige por la preferencia de los usuarios de las aplicaciones que se encuentran de moda en cada momento. Este mercado ofrece la posibilidad de crear nuevas aplicaciones que triunfen entre la población si tienen las características necesarias para satisfacer sus necesidades.[Abstract] It is difficult to make a description of our current society without mentioning the online connections due to social networks. That is why it is worth studying a comparative analysis of the flow of consumption of two important applications: Instagram and Snapchat, because their business model is quite similar. The main aim of the investigation is to observe the evolution of these tools, as well as checking if there is some kind of connection between the decrease of the popularity of Snapchat and the proliferation of the function of Instagram Stories. Last but not least, the new professions that have emerged from this type of applications will be explained, especially the one which emerge from Instagram. This one has not only contributed to the increase of users of the platform, but has been positioned as a way of contact with them. It has also brought with it new model of bussines, which both brands and freelance are taking profit of. Finally, it is worth highlighting the uncertain future of this online world that is governed by the preference of the users of the applications that are in fashion at all times. This market offers the possibility to create new applications that succeed among the population if they have the necessary features to satisfy their needs

Reconeixement molecular d’aminoàcids emprant macrocicles pseudopeptídics

Treballs Finals de Grau de Química, Facultat de Química, Universitat de Barcelona, Any: 2014, Tutora: Laura RodríguezL’objectiu d’aquest treball consisteix en sintetitzar dos compostos macrocíclics pseudopeptídics (Figura 1) i el seu ús posterior en processos de reconeixement molecular d’aminoàcids. Aquest estudi es durà a terme mitjançant la formació prèvia dels derivats d'aminoàcids que contindran dos àtoms metàl·lics (Cu2+ o Ni2+) enllaçats al macrocicle. En la primera part es descriu la síntesis dels dos macrocicles pseudopeptídics [2+2] mitjançant una reacció d’aminació reductiva. Aquests es diferencien en la posició de substitució de l’anell benzènic central (meta o para). En els dos casos es fa servir plantilles aniòniques per tal d’ afavorir l’obtenció del producte desitjat. Per confirmar la formació dels productes, aquests es caracteritzen per RMN i ESI-MS. A partir d'aquests macrocicles obtinguts es realitza la síntesi dels complexos de Ni2+ i Cu2+ i es caracteritzen per ESI-MS. La segona part es basa en els processos de reconeixement molecular. Els aminoàcids que s'han fet servir han estat l'àcid aspàrtic i l'àcid glutàmic en els seus possibles isòmers (L i D). La presència dels àtoms metàl·lics permeten la coordinació dels aminoàcids. A partir dels resultats obtinguts s’ha pogut concloure que es produeix un reconeixement molecular selectiu entre aminoàcids (l'àcid aspàrtic s'ha coordinat millor que l'àcid glutàmic) per als tres complexos estudiats.
