Evaluating the Customer Satisfaction’s Effect on Murabahah and Mudarabah Financing in Islamic Banking
There are a considerable number of studies on the service quality dimensions of banking industries, but little researches were carried out on the product quality dimensions, and this led to the minimal understanding of the impact of product quality dimensions from the customers’ standpoints, This research sought to identify the impact Islamic banking products (Murabahah and Mudarabah) dimensions on customer satisfaction. The study surveyed Islamic bank customers (users of the Islamic bank’s products in Nigeria) using questionnaires to seek responses, a convenient sampling technique was conducted to reach out to customers, and the use of PLS-SEM 3 was employed for the analysis of the data. The result model shows an R2 value of 0.414 (for Murabahah), which means 41% of the variance in customer satisfaction is explained by the exogenous constructs of perceived quality, cost, convenience and compliance of Murabahah, and R2 value of 0.309 (for Mudarabah) which means 31% of the variance in customer satisfaction is explained by the exogenous constructs of perceived quality, cost, convenience and compliance of Mudarabah. The values of R2 for Murabahah and Mudarabah show that the constructs were moderate in determining the satisfaction level of customers as they produced 0.414 and 0.309 respectively
Secure Access To Authorized Resources Based On Fingerprint Authentication
The Internet makes it convenient for anyone to access publicly available information
on the servers. The increased functionality of computers and other technological
equipment makes the connectivity easier than ever before, and the need for security
more and more important. Passwords are frequently used to control access to
restricted functions. Unfortunately, password or personal identification number (PIN)
verification suffers an inherent problem. It cannot ensure that the user is the claimed
individual. Higher security systems have now veered towards biometric verification
in conjunction with passwords. Fingerprints are a practical bodily characteristic to
use, as they are unique to each individual and easily collected using image-capture
systems.
In this thesis, the methods of fingerprint recognition and classification are
investigated. Then, the possible approaches to use are discussed while investigating the subject. The final choice combines a feature-based and correlation-based
approach.
The thesis proposes a novel method of allowing users access after authenticating
them by their fingerprints. The method is based on a statistical approach, and is
crafted in such a way that the authentication operations are inconspicuous to the user.
All the required image processing techniques that make the extraction of the true
fingerprint features easier are used: equalization, filtering, binarization and thinning.
A new method for constructing a unique key from the fingerprint image is also
presented, with the fingerprint database (fingerprint features, unique fingerprint key,
public and private keys) created shown. The database can be manipulated (insertion,
retrieving, and deletion) rapidly using the Adelson Velskii and Landis (AVL) tree
searching technique. The A VL tree is used to increase the compression ratio as its
compression algorithm works efficiently for all types of data. The security is
maintained and enhanced by adding a public key system.
Finally, a unique fingerprint based key is constructed using a user's fingerprint image
and the key used to access and retrieve the private key. The method successfully
recognizes the user fingerprint image even with noisy, translated or rotated images
An Appraisal of the Implementation Process of Sport Policy in Ghana
To implement policy, the local implementers must find a way to make sense of the goals, assumptions, and expectations associated with the policy and to reconcile them with their own organizational culture. In doing this, problems and conflicts may arise as a result of several factors that seem unavoidable and desirable from the bottom-up perspective. Several policy reforms and reorganization of administrative departments of sport in Ghana have not succeeded to arrest the rate of performance decline. It appears that the implementation process is much more complex than the introduction of a few administrative adjustments.
The focus of this study was to identify the strategies and problems of the implementation process of current sport policy in Ghana. The results will contribute to a better understanding of the phenomenon and help implementers modify their strategies as well as develop their own coping mechanisms to survive the tide of the decline in sport performance.
The principal data collection technique was the administration of a structured questionnaire to 40 subjects purposively selected for their key role in the implementation process in Ghana. Data obtained was augmented with the review of available documents deemed relevant to the study. The qualitative method of analysis was used because it was deemed more relevant in understanding the phenomenon under investigation.
An analysis of the data identified several problems and challenges. Some of the major problems were the acute financial constraints that implementers encounter, over-dependence on meager grants from the government, differential government treatment of sport agencies, and over-centralized management control. The study also identified some of the challenges that the implementation process faces such as: the lack of discretionary powers to allow decentralized agencies to make decisions based on existing constraints, the lack of motivation and commitment by implementers to compete for private sector resources, and absence of authority and/or commitment by implementers to employ other strategies in the acquisition of resources beyond current traditional sources
all possible traditional topics of classical Arabic poetry, but it adds one more original genre: love
poetry composed by anonymous women expressing their love towards an equally anonymous male
figure. This genre called təbṛāˁ consists in just one verse: təbṛīˁa

ASSESSMENT OF CADMIUM CONTAMINATION AND ACCUMULATION IN MAIZE (ZEA MAYS L.) AND AGRICULTURAL SOILS
Accumulation of heavy metals in soils from different sources (atmospheric deposition, industrial activities and urban, agricultural practices ...) should be studied and followed because of persistent and potentially toxic to these chemical compounds. Determining the bioavailability of heavy metals the chemical form in which they find themselves is a necessary step to determine the ecotoxicological risks for organisms in contaminated soil. Soil pollution by cadmium (Cd), a metal which is potentially toxic to humans because of its high mobility in soil, bioavailability through the food chain, and its impact on kidney in case of chronic exposure through the diet. In this study an assessment is done concerning the impact of soils on heavy metals contamination of maize. In this work, we have studied the distribution and migration of cadmium in different soil horizons it was applied on a site widely cultivated with maize in Algeria. The soil was subjected to chemical characterisation, total metal quantification (Cd) sequential extraction as well metal speciation in 2011. Cadmium concentrations exceeded the acceptable limits in soils, with strong surface accumulations and a rapid decrease of the pollution with depth. However, in the edible portion of maize, the cadmium concentrations were higher than the permitted limits of the european standard. As for the plants grown, the study indicates a potential ecological risk of maize contamination by cadmium
Total Quality Management in Academic Perspective: An Overview
Management is considered as the indispensable institution in the modern social organization marked by scientific thought and technological innovations. It (management) is essential in one or the other form, wherever human efforts are to be undertaken collectively to satisfy needs through some productive activity, occupation or profession. Even, without the leadership provided by management, the resources of production remain resources and never become production. Although Total Quality Management (TQM) was initially applied as a management philosophy in the industrialized sector. But due to its success, this idea increasingly being applied in the service sector, including libraries. In order to be equipped with quality that helps in attaining the objective of institution. As quality has become one of the primary elements in global competition today. This paper attempts to present an overview of total quality management (TQM) in the library and information sectors. Besides this, study aims to highlight the possible ways of continuous improvements and challenges encountered by the organizations (institutions)
