The CubeSats concept began in 1999 as a collaboration between California Polytechnic State University and Stanford University, and today it is an accessible and widely used by educational institutions and the private sector for the development of small satellites. As these small satellites are unmanned, the Telemetry Tracking and Remote Control (TT&C) system is one of the most critical to the mission, as their failure results in its premature end.
This work presents a study of the main concepts related to the TT&C system, especially with regard to minimum power and transmission speed to ensure correct and complete
transmission of payload data. Posteriorly, using the concepts presented, a set of needs is elaborated for its
good functioning and good integration with the other systems of a CubeSat
Microstructural evaluation of maraging 300 steel surface treated by Nd:YAG laser / Avaliação microestrutural do aço maraging 300 tratado superficialmente pelo laser Nd:YAG
Maraging steels are Ni-Co-Mo-Ti alloys of ultra-high resistance and spread application, since defense and nuclear industry until aeronautic components, pressure vessels and sports industry. Maraging steels are composed by a metastable martensitic microstructure. This work aims to evaluate the microstructural behavior of a maraging 300 steel after superficial laser treatment to reduce the oxygen permeability in the structure, increasing the mechanical resistance at elevated temperatures. Microstructural characterization was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction and roughness by profilometry. The laser path typically of 500 µm wide was observed. Surface roughness results were Ra = 634 ± 160 nm; Rq = 789 ± 185 nm and Rt = 8,2 ± 3,2 nm. Laser treated sample exhibited, in addition of diffraction peaks due to the martensitic phase, additional peaks related to austenite phase and Fe2N/Fe3N. Therefore, laser surface nitriding can be used to change the surface properties

Teaching Optics at Pibid: an approach with the use of videos during the covid-19 pandemic
This experience report aims to present the construction, application and results of a didactic intervention carried out at public school in Cariacica-ES, with the 3rd year high school classes. This action was part of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (Pibid) and was carried out by students of the Degree in Physics at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES), Cariacica campus. In this Optics study, the chosen theme was Light and Colors, and all activities were applied online, through videos and a quiz to assess what students learned. The online format was adopted as an alternative due to the difficulties imposed by the covid-19 pandemic, which made continuous face-to-face teaching impossible throughout 2020 and 2021. The use of videos was an attempt to overcome the difficulties of students studying alone during non-face-to-face teaching. In addition to the videos, the students were supported by the authors during the application period, to clarify doubts and obtain guidance, aiming at a more meaningful learning. The results showed a satisfactory participation on the part of the students, including in the sense that they would like to have other similar activities.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the physical, physiological and chemical changes during storage of two sapodilla cultivars (Manilkara sapota L.). Fruits were picked and evaluated at the physiological maturation point, and stored at temperature of 26±2ºC and 55±5% relative humidity. Respiration activities and ethylene production were daily evaluated, while the loss of mass, firmness, pulp color, total titratable acidity, pH, soluble solids content, total sugar and senescence were determined in the 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 days of storage. Fruits of BRS-228 cultivar had respiration activities, ethylene production picks and senescence retarded when compared to BRS-227 cultivar. Fruits of BRS-228 maintained larger firmness, soluble solids and total sugar contents and smaller loss of mass than BRS-227.
Cyclodextrin-complexed Ocimum basilicum leaves essential oil increases fos protein expression in the central nervous system and produce an antihyperalgesic effect in animal models for fibromyalgia
O. basilicum leaves produce essential oils (LEO) rich in monoterpenes. The
short half-life and water insolubility are limitations for LEO medical uses. β-Cyclodextrin
(β-CD) has been employed to improve the pharmacological properties of LEO. We
assessed the antihyperalgesic profile of LEO, isolated or complexed in β-CD (LEO/β-CD),
on an animal model for fibromyalgia. Behavioral tests: mice were treated every day with
either LEO/β-CD (25, 50 or 100 mg/kg, p.o.), LEO (25 mg/kg, p.o.), tramadol (TRM
4 mg/kg, i.p.) or vehicle (saline), and 60 min after treatment behavioral parameters were
assessed. Therefore, mice were evaluated for mechanical hyperalgesia (von Frey), motor
coordination (Rota-rod) and muscle strength (Grip Strength Metter) in a mice fibromyalgia
model. After 27 days, we evaluated the central nervous system (CNS) pathways involved in
the effect induced by experimental drugs through immunofluorescence protocol to Fos protein.
The differential scanning analysis (DSC), thermogravimetry/derivate thermogravimetry
(TG/DTG) and infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR) curves indicated that the products
prepared were able to incorporate the LEO efficiently. Oral treatment with LEO or LEO-βCD,
at all doses tested, produced a significant reduction of mechanical hyperalgesia and we were
able to significantly increase Fos protein expression. Together, our results provide evidence
that LEO, isolated or complexed with β-CD, produces analgesic effects on chronic
non-inflammatory pain as fibromyalgia
