Anthina flammea Fr. (Deuteromycota, Fungi) en El Bierzo (León, N.O. España)

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
SIVIM (Sistema de Información de la Vegetación Ibérica y Macaronésica) is an information system designed for capturing, hosting, editing, analyzing and outputting georeferenced plot data of Iberian and Macaronesian vegetation. It currently hosts 86,000 relevés, mainly from the northern half of the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, and will grow to 100,000 relevés in the near future. SIVIM has been conceived to offer direct and free on-line access to relevés, tables, as well as to floristic, syntaxonomical and bibliographical records. The system also offers on-line software for edition and analysis of vegetation data. The main characteristics of SIVIM are presented, and its particular technical solutions to typical data banking problems as well as its future objectives are briefly commented.SIVIM ist ein Informationssystem, mit welchem georeferenzierte Daten zur iberischen und makaronesischen Vegetation erfasst, gehostet, editiert, analysiert und ausgegeben werden können.

Ethnobotanical Research and Compilation of the Medicinal Uses in Spain and the Active Principles of Chiliadenus glutinosus (L.) Fourr. for the Scientific Validation of Its Therapeutic Properties

    Get PDF
[EN] The species Chiliadenus glutinosus (L.) Fourr. has a large number of therapeutic uses reported in the traditional Spanish medicine. The growing interest in preserving the ethnopharmacological knowledge related to the botanical diversity existing in Spain and the interest in achieving scientific validation of the therapeutic properties of medicinal species has led to the development of this study. To do it, all the known medicinal uses of Ch. glutinosus in Spain were compiled, then an exhaustive bibliographic research on its chemical composition was carried out, and finally, an in silico validation of the bioactive phytochemicals present in a higher proportion in the essential oil of Ch. glutinosus: camphor, borneol, lucinone, glutinone, quercetin, kutdtriol, and kaempferol; in an attempt to justify the reported traditional uses of the species. It was found that much of the traditional medicinal uses of Ch. glutinosus, along with the biological activity of its phytochemicals, are supported by scientific evidence. The results place this species in a prominent position to initiate possible lines of research to develop new, more effective drugs and improve therapies to treat conditions and diseases that affect the different organic systems of the human being.S

The Last Decade of Marketing Research Streams

    Get PDF
The aim of this research is to identify which have been the major streams within the marketing discipline in the last decade (1992-2002). In opposition to other taxonomic proposals, our approach conducts an empirical study through the analysis of co-citations made by articles published in the top journals of the area

Three new species of Carex sect. Fecundae (Cyperaceae) are described from Central America. Carex orothanatica from Costa Rica, Carex siguanabae occurring in El Salvador and Honduras, and Carex via-aquae from Costa Rica and Panama. The three new species are compared with relatives. In addition, two related names, Carex lehmanniana Boott, and C. lehmaniana var. simplex Kük., are lectotypifie

A collaborative digital pedagogy experience in the tMOOC “Step by step”

    Get PDF
This research analysed social MOOCs (sMOOCs), which are characterised by the involvement and the interaction of participants in a model based on intercreativity, with the final objective of transferring knowledge by an agile replicating process. The fieldwork focused on the analysis of the sMOOC “Step by Step” of the European Commission-funded Elearning, Communication and Open-data (ECO) Project, which aims to build and apply an innovative pedagogical model for the the training of e-teachers. This sMOOC reaches out to a specific academic community, providing learners with digital competences in order to transform them in e-teachers. The quantitative analysis was done via an online questionnaire. One of the most significant conclusions, which answers the research questions regarding why and how to make a successful sMOOC, is that the design of collaborative activities increases the involvement of learners with the course and the interaction between participants, independent of age but dependent on area of work. This formative process in turn generates transfer of learning together with the embedded pedagogical transformation in e-teachers. This validates the addition of the transferMOOC (tMOOC) model to the existing typologies of MOOCs

Threatened vascular flora of León province

    Get PDF
The León flora includes more than 2800 taxa, from which we include some two hundred (200) in the Red List of the Leon Flora. 61 of them belong to the Red List of the Spanish Vascular Flora (only 49 formerly). From the 61 taxa, we have labelled 30 as Vulnerable (VU), 3 as Endangered (EN), and 28 as «with Deficient Data» (DD). In this paper, we include also other taxa that can be considered as interesting because of their peculiarities, like 38 taxa showing a sole population in León province, and thus threatened in some degree within this territory
