The generalized dice similarity measures for multiple attribute decision making with hesitant fuzzy linguistic information
In this paper, we shall present some novel Dice similarity measures of hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets and the generalized Dice similarity measures of hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets and indicate that the Dice similarity measures and asymmetric measures (projection measures) are the special cases of the generalized Dice similarity measures in some parameter values. Then, we propose the generalized Dice similarity measures-based multiple attribute decision making models with hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets. Finally, a practical example concerning the evaluation of the quality of movies is given to illustrate the applicability and advantage of the proposed generalized Dice similarity measure

Intertemporal Choice of Fuzzy Soft Sets
This paper first merges two noteworthy aspects of choice. On the one hand, soft sets and fuzzy soft sets are popular models that have been largely applied to decision making problems, such as real estate valuation, medical diagnosis (glaucoma, prostate cancer, etc.), data mining, or international trade. They provide crisp or fuzzy parameterized descriptions of the universe of alternatives. On the other hand, in many decisions, costs and benefits occur at different points in time. This brings about intertemporal choices, which may involve an indefinitely large number of periods. However, the literature does not provide a model, let alone a solution, to the intertemporal problem when the alternatives are described by (fuzzy) parameterizations. In this paper, we propose a novel soft set inspired model that applies to the intertemporal framework, hence it fills an important gap in the development of fuzzy soft set theory. An algorithm allows the selection of the optimal option in intertemporal choice problems with an infinite time horizon. We illustrate its application with a numerical example involving alternative portfolios of projects that a public administration may undertake. This allows us to establish a pioneering intertemporal model of choice in the framework of extended fuzzy set theorie
Decision making with both diversity supporting and opposing membership information
Online big data provides large amounts of decision information
to decision makers, but supporting and opposing information are
present simultaneously. Dual hesitant fuzzy sets (DHFSs) are useful
models for exactly expressing the membership degree of both
supporting and opposing information in decision making.
However, the application of DHFSs requires an improved distance
measure. This paper aims to improve distance measure models
for DHFSs and apply the new distance models to generate a technique
for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution
(TOPSIS) method for multiple attribute decision making (MADM)
A systematic literature review of soft set theory
[EN] Soft set theory, initially introduced through the seminal article ââSoft set theoryâFirst resultsââ in 1999, has gained considerable attention in the field of mathematical modeling and decision-making. Despite its growing prominence, a comprehensive survey of soft set theory, encompassing its foundational concepts, developments, and applications, is notably absent in the existing literature. We aim to bridge this gap. This survey delves into the basic elements of the theory, including the notion of a soft set, the operations on soft sets, and their semantic interpretations. It describes various generalizations and modifications of soft set theory, such as N-soft sets, fuzzy soft sets, and bipolar soft sets, highlighting their specific characteristics. Furthermore, this work outlines the fundamentals of various extensions of mathematical structures from the perspective of soft set theory. Particularly, we present basic results of soft topology and other algebraic structures such as soft algebras and sigma-algebras. This article examines a selection of notable applications of soft set theory in different fields, including medicine and economics, underscoring its versatile nature. The survey concludes with a discussion on the challenges and future directions in soft set theory, emphasizing the need for further research to enhance its theoretical foundations and broaden its practical applications. Overall, this survey of soft set theory serves as a valuable resource for practitioners, researchers, and students interested in understanding and utilizing this flexible mathematical framework for tackling uncertainty in decision-making processes
A systematic review on multi-criteria group decision-making methods based on weights: analysis and classification scheme
Interest in group decision-making (GDM) has been increasing prominently over the last decade. Access to global databases, sophisticated sensors which can obtain multiple inputs or complex problems requiring opinions from several experts have driven interest in data aggregation. Consequently, the field has been widely studied from several viewpoints and multiple approaches have been proposed. Nevertheless, there is a lack of general framework. Moreover, this problem is exacerbated in the case of expertsâ weighting methods, one of the most widely-used techniques to deal with multiple source aggregation. This lack of general classification scheme, or a guide to assist expert knowledge, leads to ambiguity or misreading for readers, who may be overwhelmed by the large amount of unclassified information currently available. To invert this situation, a general GDM framework is presented which divides and classifies all data aggregation techniques, focusing on and expanding the classification of expertsâ weighting methods in terms of analysis type by carrying out an in-depth literature review. Results are not only classified but analysed and discussed regarding multiple characteristics, such as MCDMs in which they are applied, type of data used, ideal solutions considered or when they are applied. Furthermore, general requirements supplement this analysis such as initial influence, or component division considerations. As a result, this paper provides not only a general classification scheme and a detailed analysis of expertsâ weighting methods but also a road map for researchers working on GDM topics or a guide for experts who use these methods. Furthermore, six significant contributions for future research pathways are provided in the conclusions. The first author acknowledges support from the Spanish Ministry of Universities [grant number FPU18/01471]. Fuzzy Techniques for Decision Making 2018
Zadeh's fuzzy set theory incorporates the impreciseness of data and evaluations, by imputting the degrees by which each object belongs to a set. Its success fostered theories that codify the subjectivity, uncertainty, imprecision, or roughness of the evaluations. Their rationale is to produce new flexible methodologies in order to model a variety of concrete decision problems more realistically. This Special Issue garners contributions addressing novel tools, techniques and methodologies for decision making (inclusive of both individual and group, single- or multi-criteria decision making) in the context of these theories. It contains 38 research articles that contribute to a variety of setups that combine fuzziness, hesitancy, roughness, covering sets, and linguistic approaches. Their ranges vary from fundamental or technical to applied approaches
Algorithms for probabilistic uncertain linguistic multiple attribute group decision making based on the GRA and CRITIC method: application to location planning of electric vehicle charging stations
Electric vehicles (EVs) could be regarded as one of the most
innovative and high technologies all over the world to cope with
the fossil fuel energy resource crisis and environmental pollution
issues. As the initiatory task of EV charging station (EVCS) construction,
site selection play an important part throughout the
whole life cycle, which is deemed to be multiple attribute group
decision making (MAGDM) problem involving many experts and
many conflicting attributes. In this paper, a grey relational analysis
(GRA) method is investigated to tackle the probabilistic uncertain
linguistic MAGDM in which the attribute weights are completely
unknown information. Firstly, the definition of the expected value
is then employed to objectively derive the attribute weights
based on the CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation
(CRITIC) method. Then, the optimal alternative is chosen by calculating
largest relative relational degree from the probabilistic
uncertain linguistic positive ideal solution (PULPIS) which considers
both the largest grey relational coefficient from the PULPIS and the
smallest grey relational coefficient from the probabilistic uncertain
linguistic negative ideal solution (PULNIS). Finally, a numerical
case for site selection of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) is
designed to illustrate the proposed method. The result shows the
approach is simple, effective and easy to calculate
Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power aggregation operators in multiple attribute decision making
In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making
problems with Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic information.
Then, we utilize power average and power geometric operations
to develop some Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power aggregation
operators: Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power weighted
average (P2TLPWA) operator, Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power
weighted geometric (P2TLPWG) operator, Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic
power ordered weighted average (P2TLPOWA) operator,
Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power ordered weighted geometric
(P2TLPOWG) operator, Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic power
hybrid average (P2TLPHA) operator and Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic
power hybrid geometric (P2TLPHG) operator. The prominent
characteristic of these proposed operators are studied. Then,
we have utilized these operators to develop some approaches to
solve the Pythagorean 2-tuple linguistic multiple attribute decision
making problems. Finally, a practical example for enterprise
resource planning (ERP) system selection is given to verify the
developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and
effectiveness
