In this work the books catalogue from the auction that the Dutch bookseller Adriaen Moetjens held in 1732 in The Hague so the selection of the rare books that performs on the same Martin Sarmiento are analysed. Raimundo Madrazo. The textile heritage at the golden age of collecting
The origin of Raimundo Madrazo's predilection for collecting textiles comes from his
father, Federico Madrazo, and from his brother in law, Mariano Fortuny. Collecting textiles was an
inherited social practice shared by many painters and artists of the time. Some of these artists
became collectors of decorative arts from the past in pursuance of the most historically accurate
representations in their works, and would also benefit from their trade. Madrazo was able to
establish an extensive network formed by a heterogeneous group of dealers, artists, museum
curators and connoisseurs that established him at the forefront of the demand for antiquities that
museological institutions were experimenting in order to shape their textile collections.Generalitat Valencian
After the abolition of the frame: Three tendencies of italian cinema on art around 1948
cubrir en parte un vacío notable en este campo para los estudios de cine sobre arte en castellanoThe awareness of a dialogue between two arts, where cinema is not a mere servant of the work
or artist represented, but a device that adds something new, had merged in the late 30s, but it
will be a decade later when a true golden age of this new genre will arise, centering many of the
debates on the possibilities of cinema. In regard of the quantity, Italy appears to be the main
producer of films on art, and intense debates take place on the issue of how the dialogue
between the cultural heritage and the new mass media should be. Art historians and filmmakers
discuss on the respect towards the masterpieces, on the pertinence of their fragmentation
and distortion for delivering analysis, and as soon as 1948, a key date to many events related to
the film on art, they can already be found in Italy at least three tendencies clearly defined. In
this paper, these paths will be analysed through three 1948 films directed by the leading
authors of the Italian film on art: Luciano Emmer, Roberto Longhi / Umberto Barbaro, and
Carlo L. Ragghianti. Before that, I will put in context this new awareness of the film on art with
an international scenario that includes Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Spain. This paper
aims to solve the lack of information in Spanish regarding this subjectEste artículo ha sido escrito dentro del programa de becas FPI, en el marco de una estancia de investigación en la Cineteca de Bologna

Appreciations about Velázquez: the Golden Age of spanish painting and the British travellers of the Enlightenment
The tales that English travellers wrote of their trips through Spain in the 18th century represent a turning point regarding the evaluation of the work of Diego Velázquez, discovering the figure of a painter little-known until then in Europe. The aim of this study is –following chronologically the meaning of the words written in relation to Velázquez, without decontextualizing the other evaluations– to provide a rereading of these testimonies spelling out the reasons that could have determined their appreciations: their attitude before Spanish artistic-literary sources, the consideration that the opinions of the travellers preceding them deserved, or the conditions in which they saw exhibited the works of the Seville artist, among others
