Recent developments in recycling of polystyrene based plastics

    Get PDF
Due to their superior properties, plastics derived from petroleum have been extensively used almost in everyday life since last few decades. Because of lack in the manageability of plastic solid waste, their volume is increasing steadily in the natural world. Unfortunately, the disposal of plastics wastes in the oceans and land filling has led to a global issue. To effectively and efficiently deal with plastic solid waste is becoming a great challenge for the society as plastic solid waste creates big threat to our environment. Recycling of plastics solid waste should be performed to produce products having same quality to original plastics. This review article gives an overview of plastics solid waste with particular emphasis on the recent progress in polystyrene based plastics

The Access Vocabulary, which is essentially a permuted index, provides access to any word or number in authorized postable and nonpostable terms. Additional entries include postable and nonpostable terms, other word entries, and pseudo-multiword terms that are permutations of words that contain words within words. The Access Vocabulary contains 40,738 entries that give increased access to the hierarchies in Volume 1 - Hierarchical Listing

Social work at the airport is in to offer to passengers social services. The main methodological position is that people are under stress, which characterized by a particular set of characteristics in appearance and behavior. In such circumstances passenger attracts in his actions some attention. Only person whom he trusts can help him with the documents or psychologically

    Research and Technology 1995

This report selectively summarizes the NASA Lewis Research Center's research and technology accomplishments for fiscal year 1995. It comprises over 150 short articles submitted by the staff members of the technical directorates. The report is organized into six major sections: aeronautics, aerospace technology, space flight systems, engineering support, Lewis Research Academy, and technology transfer. A table of contents, an author index, and a list of NASA Headquarters program offices have been included to assist the reader in finding articles of special interest. This report is not intended to be a comprehensive summary of all research and technology work done over the past fiscal year. Most of the work is reported in Lewis-published technical reports, journal articles, and presentations prepared by Lewis staff members and contractors (for abstracts of these Lewis-authored reports, visit the Lewis Technical Report Server (LETRS) on the World Wide Web-http://letrs.lerc.nasa.gov/LeTRS/). In addition, university grants have enabled faculty members and graduate students to engage in sponsored research that is reported at technical meetings or in journal articles. For each article in this report, a Lewis contact person has been identified, and where possible, reference documents are listed so that additional information can be easily obtained. The diversity of topics attests to the breadth of research and technology being pursued and to the skill mix of the staff that makes it possible. Résonances des cavités ionosphériques des planètes et de leurs satellites: progrès et perspectives instrumentales

    No full text
The study of extremely low frequency electromagnetic waves in the ionospheric cavities of planets and satellites surrounded by atmospheres follows an approach similar to that developed for Earth. It contributes to the characterization of the atmospheric electric circuit and associated energy sources, and to the identification of the cavity boundaries. A finite element model is developed and applied to those bodies, with the aim of studying, in particular, the Schumann resonance. The validity of a model of Titan's cavity is checked against the measurements performed by the PWA analyzer, onboard the Huygens Probe. The discovery of an ionized layer at low altitude and the evaluation of the surface dielectric properties, after touchdown, are also addressed. The acquired experience is applied to the design of novel instruments, ARES and SP2, to study the atmosphere and the ground of the planet Mars, in the forthcoming ExoMars mission, and of other celestial bodies in future space missions.L'étude des ondes d'extrêmement basses fréquences dans les cavités ionosphériques des planètes et satellites dotés d'atmosphère suit une approche similaire à celle suivie pour la Terre.
