NEW BUTYROLACTONE FROM A MARINE-DERIVED FUNGUS ASPERGILLUS SP

(2P-22), isolated from a marine sponge, Cliona chilensis. Among them, compound 1 was identified as new, namely butylrolactone-VI. The structures of these compounds were characterized on the basis of spectroscopic data. Biological activities of these fungal metabolites, are described.http://ref.scielo.org/kbf7v

Word-initial rhotic clusters in Spanish-speaking preschoolers in Chile and Granada, Spain

Data are also provided on related singleton taps/trills and /l/ as a single ton and in clusters. Participants included 9 typically developing (TD)
toddlers and 30 TD preschoolers in Chile, and 30 TD preschoolers and
29 with protracted phonological development (PPD) in Granada, Spain.
Results showed age and developmental group effects. Preservation of
cluster timing units preceded segmental accuracy, especially in stressed
syllables. Tap clusters versus singleton trills were variable in order of
mastery, some children mastering clusters first, and others, the trill.
Rhotics were acquired later than /l/. In early development, mismatches
(errors) involved primarily deletion of taps; where substitutions occurred,
[j] frequently replaced tap. In later development, [l] more frequently
replaced tap; where taps did occur, vowel epenthesis sometimes
occurred. The data serve as a criterion reference database for onset cluster
acquisition in Chilean and Granada Spanish.Thank you also for funding by the:

La imagen y la narrativa como herramientas para el abordaje psicosocial en escenarios de violencia. Departamentos de Córdoba, Antioquia y Bolívar
En las siguientes líneas se profundizará en el tema de los sufrimientos por violencia y que recursos de afrontamiento psicosocial se pueden proponer ante estas situaciones para observar los daños causados por estos. Desde el enfoque narrativo se reconocerán experiencias vividas a raíz del conflicto armado en el territorio colombiano y como todas las victimas que formaron parte de los hechos, hoy día se destacan por tener una gran capacidad de resiliencia luego de todos esos eventos traumáticos y los ataques sociopolíticos. Es importante mencionar que Colombia ha sido un país con múltiples historias de violencia que han marcado la vida de personas, familias y comunidades enteras por delitos cometidos, esto conlleva a revisar los problemas de salud mental en los cuales están inversos muchas personas víctimas, sufriendo graves consecuencias por todo lo vivido. Debido a estos sucesos estas víctimas han adquirido herramientas para poder afrontar esas situaciones que se han ido presentando; creando y construyendo esperanzas que permitan nuevos comienzos para un mejor futuro. Con el caso que se llevará a cabo, se implementaran diversas estrategias de abordaje psicosocial para el restablecimiento del tejido social, dado que, desde el rol del psicólogo esto es lo que se busca, brindar las herramientas adecuadas de acuerdo con cada situación vivida, teniendo en cuenta la dimensión de afectaciones que cada hecho ha traído consigo.In the following lines, the subject of suffering due to violence will be deepened and what psychosocial coping resources can be proposed in these situations to observe the damage caused by them. From the narrative approach, experiences lived as a result of the armed conflict in Colombian territory will be recognized and, like all the victims who were part of the events, today they stand out for having a great capacity for resilience after all those traumatic events and sociopolitical attacks. It is important to mention that Colombia has been a country with multiple stories of violence that have marked the lives of individuals, families and entire communities due to crimes committed, this leads to reviewing the mental health problems in which many victims are inverse, suffering serious consequences for everything lived. Due to these events, these victims have acquired tools to be able to face these situations that have been presented; creating and building hopes that allow new beginnings for a better future. With the case that will be carried out, various psychosocial approach strategies will be implemented for the reestablishment of the social fabric, given that, from the role of the psychologist, this is what is sought, to provide the appropriate tools according to each situation experienced, having taken into account the dimension of affectations that each fact has brought with it

Intervenir en algo o sobre alguien, viene a expresar una participación activa, intervenir es entrar dentro de un sistema de individuos en progreso y participar de forma cooperativa para ayudarles a planificar, conseguir y/o cambiar sus objetivos.
La Intervención Psicosocial es una disciplina encuadrada dentro de la Psicología Social, que trata de comprender, predecir y cambiar la conducta social de las personas, así como modificar aquellos aspectos nocivos de su entorno, con la finalidad de mejorar la calidad de vida de estas. Dicho de otra manera, esta disciplina tiene como objetivo central incrementar el bienestar individual y colectivo, a través del desarrollo psicológico de las personas y de sus vinculaciones con el entorno social, esto enmarcado en los espacios de violencia se convierte en una herramienta fundamental para la atención y reparación de víctimas ocasionados por el conflicto armado en el país. Estas situaciones de riesgo están referidas, cuando hablamos de intervención social, a la falta de cobertura de necesidades humanas muy básicas que se encuentran directamente condicionadas por el entorno social: necesidades de subsistencia, convivencia e integración social, participación, acceso a la información y a los recursos sociales, igualdad de oportunidades, no discriminación, no exclusión social, etc.
Esta forma particular de configurar la intervención viene dada tanto por el avance en la comprensión de las problemáticas y necesidades de los seres humanos no solo enfocado desde lo asistencial o económico (sino también desde las potencialidades, los derechos y las capacidades) como por la superación de las limitaciones impuestas por la teoría de la Psicología Social. Es decir, la Psicología Social ha venido cuestionándose en su comprensión de los fenómenos psico-sociales y cada vez más sus teorías son integradoras de los dos enfoques desde los cuales ha venido trabajando: psicología social psicológica y psicología social sociológica.
La Intervención Psicosocial, privilegia su accionar en la vertiente denominada Participativa, sin desconocer la denominada Dirigida, dada la naturaleza de algunas problemáticas o necesidades psicosociales, se hace necesario la intervención dirigida. Por ejemplo, las problemáticas relacionadas a la violencia, que se vive en nuestro país, lo cual trae consigo el desplazamiento forzoso, exclusión social, entre muchas problemáticas más.
Resumiendo, podemos decir que la Intervención Psicosocial es una actividad dirigida a la solución de problemáticas sociales, que privilegia la participación de los intervenidos con los interventores en la construcción de cambio social y emancipación.To intervene in something or someone, comes to express an active participation to intervene is to enter into a system of individuals in progress and participate cooperatively to help them plan, achieve and / or change their objectives.
Psychosocial Intervention is a discipline within Social Psychology, which seeks to understand, predict and change the social behavior of people, as well as modify the harmful aspects of their environment, in order to improve their quality of life. In other words, this discipline aims to increase individual and collective well-being, through the psychological development of people and their links with the social environment, this framed in the spaces of violence becomes a fundamental tool for the attention and reparation of victims caused by the armed conflict in the country. These situations of risk are referred, when we speak of social intervention, to the lack of coverage of very basic human needs that are directly conditioned by the social environment: subsistence needs, coexistence and social integration, participation, access to information and social resources, equal opportunities, non-discrimination, no social exclusion, etc.
This particular way of configuring the intervention is given as much by the advance in the understanding of the problems and needs of human beings not only focused from the welfare or economic (but also from the potentials, rights and capabilities) as for the improvement of the limitations imposed by the theory of Social Psychology. That is to say, Social Psychology has been questioned in its understanding of psycho-social phenomena and increasingly its theories are integrating the two approaches from which it has been working: psychological social psychology and sociological social psychology.
The Psychosocial Intervention, privileges its action in the so-called Participative aspect, without ignoring the so-called Directed, since given the nature of some problems or psychosocial needs, it becomes necessary the Directed intervention. For example, the problems related to violence, which is experienced in our country, which entails forced displacement, social exclusion, among many other problems.
In summary, we can say that Psychosocial Intervention is an activity aimed at the solution of social problems, which privileges the participation of those intervened with the intervenors in the construction of social change and emancipation

COVID-19 : Age, Interleukin-6, C-reactive protein, and lymphocytes as key clues from a multicentre retrospective study
Background: The SARS-CoV-2 infection has widely spread to become the greatest public health challenge to date, the COVID-19 pandemic. Different fatality rates among countries are probably due to non-standardized records being carried out by local health authorities. The Spanish case-fatality rate is 11.22%, far higher than those reported in Asia or by other European countries. A multicentre retrospective study of demographic, clinical, laboratory and immunological features of 584 Spanish COVID-19 hospitalized patients and their outcomes was performed. The use of renin-angiotensin system blockers was also analysed as a risk factor. Results: In this study, 27.4% of cases presented a mild course, 42.1% a moderate one and for 30.5% of cases, the course was severe. Ages ranged from 18 to 98 (average 63). Almost 60 % (59.8%) of patients were male. Interleukin 6 was higher as severity increased. On the other hand, CD8 lymphocyte count was significantly lower as severity grew and subpopulations CD4, CD8, CD19, and NK showed concordant lowering trends. Severity-related natural killer percent descents were evidenced just within aged cases. A significant severity-related decrease of CD4 lymphocytes was found in males. The use of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors was associated with a better prognosis. The angiotensin II receptor blocker use was associated with a more severe course. Conclusions: Age and age-related comorbidities, such as dyslipidaemia, hypertension or diabetes, determined more frequent severe forms of the disease in this study than in previous literature cohorts. Our cases are older than those so far reported and the clinical course of the disease is found to be impaired by age. Immunosenescence might be therefore a suitable explanation for the hampering of immune system effectors. The adaptive immunity would become exhausted and a strong but ineffective and almost deleterious innate response would account for COVID-19 severity. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors used by hypertensive patients have a protective effect in regards to COVID-19 severity in our series. Conversely, patients on angiotensin II receptor blockers showed a severer disease
Spread of a SARS-CoV-2 variant through Europe in the summer of 2020
[EN] Following its emergence in late 2019, the spread of SARS-CoV-21,2 has been tracked by phylogenetic analysis of viral genome sequences in unprecedented detail3,4,5. Although the virus spread globally in early 2020 before borders closed, intercontinental travel has since been greatly reduced. However, travel within Europe resumed in the summer of 2020. Here we report on a SARS-CoV-2 variant, 20E (EU1), that was identified in Spain in early summer 2020 and subsequently spread across Europe. We find no evidence that this variant has increased transmissibility, but instead demonstrate how rising incidence in Spain, resumption of travel, and lack of effective screening and containment may explain the variant’s success. Despite travel restrictions, we estimate that 20E (EU1) was introduced hundreds of times to European countries by summertime travellers, which is likely to have undermined local efforts to minimize infection with SARS-CoV-2. Our results illustrate how a variant can rapidly become dominant even in the absence of a substantial transmission advantage in favourable epidemiological settings. Genomic surveillance is critical for understanding how travel can affect transmission of SARS-CoV-2, and thus for informing future containment strategies as travel resumes.S
