Multicultural education offers an alternative through the application of educational strategies and concepts based on the use of the diversity that exists in society, especially that of students, such as ethnic diversity, culture, language, religion, social status, gender, ability, age and race. SMK Al Khoiriyah is one of the multicultural schools, this can be seen from the diversity of cultural backgrounds possessed by students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The implementation of multicultural-based Islamic religious education learning instils democratic values, solidarity and togetherness, compassion and forgiveness, peace and tolerance, in a way when the practice of worship by PAI teachers gives freedom to practice worship according to the flow they follow

ABSTRAKSI: Pengolahan citra pada video dapat digunakan untuk mengenali gerakan berdasarkan frame yang diperoleh sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai sistem keamanan. Dengan adanya proses tersebut diharapkan pengolahan citra bisa menjadi “indera” untuk mengenali gerakan yang mendekati objek yang diamankan. Dengan menggunakan metode NSD dapat diatur sensitifitas pergerakan yang dideteksi. Dengan adanya proses ini, maka citra dapat dijadikan perintah ataupun instruksi, dengan dibantu mikrokontroler, untuk mengontrol suatu perangkat pengamanan sebagai alarm peringatan.Pada tugas akhir ini telah dirancang dan diimplementasikan sebuah perangkat simulasi yang dapat menerjemahkan suatu citra untuk dijadikan sebuah instruksi atau perintah yang dapat menggantikan peran orang untuk selalu mengamankan objek yang diinginkan.Kata Kunci : citra, NSD, mikrokontrolerABSTRACT: Image processing on video can be used as motion detection by frame, used to security system. The Middle-Class Muslims’ Responses Toward the Salafi Da’wah: A Study on Hijrah celebrities

This study unravels how Indonesian celebrities who submitted to Salafi Islam (popularly called hijra celebrities) responded to some notable Salafi teachings. Like in many Muslim countries, such as Türkiye, Pakistan, and Egypt, Salafism is increasingly attracting followers from the middle class who then express their Salafism in public visibility, or called “active piety”. The data for this article was collected through in-depth interviews with Salafi preachers (dais) and celebrities who actively participated in the Islamic meetings held or taught by these preachers. This study uses a cultural studies approach, in which Hall's theory of encoding-decoding is used to analyse the active role of hijrah celebrities in receiving messages conveyed by Salafi preachers. This study reveals that the Salafi preachers used the educational approach in their propagation (da’wah) through religious education forums using clear guideline books. Meanwhile, the celebrities’ responses toward this Salafi propagation varied, i.e., dominant hegemony, negotiation, and opposition, with negotiation being the most frequent. In general, the celebrities accepted the Islamic teachings from their Salafi teachers, except for several issues that they considered less relevant to their lives. This study also found the fact that the hijrah celebrities, as recipients of information, did not passively receive information, but they classified, selected, and utilised the information received from the Salafi preachers and adapted it to their needs

Phytochemical analysis, antioxidant, α‑glucosidase inhibitory activity, and toxicity evaluation of Orthosiphon stamineus leaf extract

Ocimum aristatum, commonly known as O. stamineus, has been widely studied for its potential as an herbal medicine candidate. This research aims to compare the efcacy of water and 100% ethanolic extracts of O. stamineus as α-glucosidase inhibitors and antioxidants, as well as toxicity against zebrafsh embryos. Based on the study fndings, water extract of O. stamineus leaves exhibited superior inhibition activity against α-glucosidase, ABTS, and DPPH, with IC50 values of approximately 43.623 ± 0.039 µg/mL, 27.556 ± 0.125 µg/mL, and 95.047 ± 1.587 µg/mL, respectively. The major active compounds identifed in the extract include fatty acid groups and their derivates such as linoleic acid, α-eleostearic acid, stearic acid, oleanolic acid, and corchorifatty acid F. Phenolic groups such as cafeic acid, rosmarinic acid, 3,4-Dihydroxybenzaldehyde, norfenefrine, caftaric acid, and 2-hydroxyphenylalanine and favonoids and their derivates including 5,7-Dihydroxychromone, 5,7-Dihydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-4H-chromen-4-one, eupatorin, and others were also identifed in the extract. Carboxylic acid groups and triterpenoids such as azelaic acid and asiatic acid were also present. This study found that the water extract of O. stamineus is non-toxic to zebrafsh embryos and does not afect the development of zebrafsh larvae at concentrations lower than 500 µg/mL. These fndings highlight the potential of the water extract of O. stamineus as a valuable herbal medicine candidate, particularly for its potent α-glucosidase inhibition and antioxidant properties, and afrm its safety in zebrafsh embryos at tested concentrations

Metode yang digunakan adalah pemaparan materi, praktik dan pelatihan tanaman hidroponik, pendampingan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil yang bisa didapat dari pelatihan pemberdayaan hidroponik ini, antaranya penggunaan lahan yang lebih efesien, Tanaman berproduksi dengan memanfaatkan air, waktu tanam singkat, dan hasil produksi lebih tinggi dan lebih bersih

A popular Indonesian preacher: The significance of AA Gymnastiar

Aa Gymnastiar (Gym) is a popular Indonesian Muslim preacher who seems to be now at the pinnacle of his fame. He regularly gives advice to the head of state and to ministers and yet at the same time his approach to Islam appeals to all sections of the national Muslim community. His is a familiar face in newspaper columns and above all on television screens; Aa Gym has a masterful command of the media. This article describes and accounts for his popularity and discusses it in terms of continuity and change in the rise and decline of Muslim celebrities in Indonesia. It points out the difference between Gym and some obvious forerunners such as the scholar Hamka, and stresses that the nature of Gym's appeal is new in as much as he does not come from within the circle of traditional families of Muslim ulama. He seems to draw his information as much from secular sources of self-help manuals as from books of Sufi wisdom. Although very popular and influential among the general circle of believers, he is regarded with some suspicion by those who criticize his sufistic leanings and lack of an orthodox Muslim education. The article concludes by arguing that Gym and his approach to the implementation of Muslim precepts is more representative of the nature of Islam in Indonesia today than the activities of terrorists
