In this research we will focus on analyzing how the Ibermedia Cultural Program was applied, as a tool for cooperation, focusing on the period that corresponds to the year 2016, since this year marked 18 years since this program began. Throughout the work, we will identify which were the axis of international cooperation of the Ibero-American General Secretariat, to promote culture in 2016, since it is where Ibermedia is registered. We will also describe the cooperation strategy of that period that was already used in the program itself. Finally, we will analyze the scope of this as a cooperation mechanism. Emphasis will be placed on what this cultural dimension entails in international relations, relying on the contributions of authors such as Joseph Nye, we will talk about what soft power is; joining him we have Tahina Ojeda Medina, to talk about international cooperation, more specifically of the south-south modality, and to have more precision we will use Luis Enrique Velasco, from whom we will get an introduction about the importance of cinema.Fil: Paredes, Juan Manuel. Estereotipos de género y denominación de personajes en la letra de las canciones tradicionales

    Get PDF

Considering that both sleep quality and duration are linked to psychological variables, this study analyzed the relationships between sleep components and emotional intelligence and the effects that sleep duration has on stress management and mood in a sample of nurses. The sample was made up of 1073 professionals. Data were collected by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Brief Emotional Intelligence Inventory for Senior Citizens. The results showed that the components of sleep quality were negatively related to stress management and mood. Furthermore, nurses who had short sleep patterns also had low moods and high stress levels. This study emphasizes the importance of subjective sleep quality as a necessary resource for professionals to manage stressful situations and mood and improve their relations with their patients and with each other

Template-controlled acidity and catalytic activity of ferrierite crystals

A synthesis strategy to tailor the acid sites location in ferrierite crystals has been developed. The zeolite catalysts were synthesised in fluoride medium using different combinations of organic structure directing agents (SDAs) in the absence of inorganic cations. Therefore, the negative charge associated to the incorporation of aluminium to the framework was compensated exclusively by the positive charge of the organic SDAs. In this way, Al sitting in the zeolite framework was driven by the specific location of the different SDA molecules within the zeolite void volume. Following this synthesis strategy, it has been found that the distribution of strongly acidic hydroxyl groups in the proton form of the zeolites obtained after removal of the organic templates was dependent on the combination of organic molecules used as SDAs. Moreover, the catalytic activity of the zeolites in m-xylene and 1-butene isomerisation increased as the relative population of strong Brönsted acid groups in sterically constrained sites inside the ferrierite cavity decreased. This work has been financially supported by the MICINN (project CTQ2006-06282).Peer reviewe

The authors have no relevant financial or non-financial interests to disclose.Purpose We tested if an acute ascending to 2320 m above sea level (asl) affects corticospinal excitability (CSE) and intracortical inhibition (SICI) measured with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) at rest, before, during and after a traditional hypertrophy-oriented resistance training (R-T) session. We also explored whether blood lactate concentration (BLa), ratings of perceived exertion (RPE), perceived muscular pain and total training volume differed when the R-T session was performed at hypoxia (H) or normoxia (N). Methods Twelve resistance-trained men performed eight sets of 10 repetitions at 70% of one repetition maximum of a bar biceps curl at N (SpO(2) = 98.0 +/- 0.9%) and H (at 2320 asl, SpO(2) = 94.0 +/- 1.9%) in random order. Before each session, a subjective well-being questionnaire, the resting motor threshold (rMT) and a single pulse recruitment curve were measured. Before, during and after the R-T session, BLa, RPE, muscle pain, CSE and SICI were measured. Results Before the R-T session only the rMT differed between H (- 5.3%) and N (ES = 0.38). RPE, muscle pain and BLa increased through the R-T session and were greater at H than N (12%, 54% and 15%, respectively) despite a similar training volume (1618 +/- 468 kg vs. 1638 +/- 509 kg). CSE was reduced during the R-T session (similar to 27%) but recovered ten minutes after, regardless of the environmental condition. SICI did not change after any R-T session. Conclusions The data suggest that acute exposure to moderate hypoxia slightly increased the excitability of the most excitable structures of the corticospinal tract but did not influence intracortical or corticospinal responses to a single R-T session.CRUE-CSICSpanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (PGC2018-097388-B-I00-MCI/AEI/FEDER, UE)Andalusian FEDER Operational Program (B-CTS-374-UGR20)FPU pre-doctoral (FPU18/00686

Clinical outcomes of an innovative cefazolin delivery program for MSSA infections in OPAT

Cefazolin is a recommended treatment for methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) infections that has been successfully used in outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT) programs. The aim of this study was to assess the clinical outcomes of cefazolin delivered each day (Group 24) vs. every two days (Group 48) for MSSA infections in OPAT programs. It was a prospective observational study with retrospective analysis of a cohort of MSSA infections attended in OPAT. The primary outcome was treatment success, defined as completing the antimicrobial regimen without death, treatment discontinuation, or readmission during treatment and follow-up. A univariate and multivariate logistic regression model was built. A two-sided p < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Of the 149 MSSA infections treated with cefazolin 2 g/8 h in OPATs, 94 and 55 patients were included in the delivery Group 24 and Group 48, respectively. Treatment failure and unplanned readmission rates were similar in both groups (11.7% vs. 7.3% p = 0.752 and 8.5% vs. 5.5% p = 0.491). There was a significant increase in vascular access complications in Group 24 (33.0%) with respect to Group 48 (7.3%) (p < 0.001). Treating uncomplicated MSSA infection with cefazolin home-delivered every two days through an OPAT program is not associated with an increased risk of treatment failure and entails a significant reduction in resource consumption compared to daily delivery

To obtain more accurate visualization and evaluation of third molar mineralization patterns from computed tomography images, a new software application, DentaVol©, was developed. Third molar mineralization according to qualitative (Demirjian's maturational stage) and quantitative parameters (third molar volume) of dental development was assessed in multi-slice helical computed tomography images of both maxillary arches displayed by DentaVol© from 135 individuals (62 females and 73 males) aged between 14 and 23years. Intra- and inter-observer agreement values were remarkably high for both evaluation procedures and for all third molars. A linear correlation between third molar mineralization and chronological age was found, with third molar maturity occurring earlier in males than in females. Assessment of dental development with both procedures, by using DentaVol© software, can be considered a good indicator of age of majority (18years or older) in all third molars. Our results indicated that virtual computed tomography imaging can be considered a valid alternative to orthopantomography for evaluations of third molar mineralization, and therefore a complementary tool for determining the age of majority.Andalusian Regional Government, Spain P09-SEJ-4738, 2010CEIFA (3193-00)Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, Spain FPU13/0354

Automatic detection of relationships between banking operations using machine learning

    Get PDF
In their daily business, bank branches should register their operations with several systems in order to share information with other branches and to have a central repository of records. In this way, information can be analysed and processed according to different requisites: fraud detection, accounting or legal requirements. Within this context, there is increasing use of big data and artificial intelligence techniques to improve customer experience. Our research focuses on detecting matches between bank operation records by means of applied intelligence techniques in a big data environment and business intelligence analytics. The business analytics function allows relationships to be established and comparisons to be made between variables from the bank's daily business. Finally, the results obtained show that the framework is able to detect relationships between banking operation records, starting from not homogeneous information and taking into account the large volume of data involved in the process.
