The article discusses poetics’ significant place and role in the university literary didactics – it is a subject which introduces students into rudiments of literary theory and prepares them to practice the art of interpretation. The author focuses on the role of versification in philological education and underlines its structuralist tradition and tendency towards semantization and antropologization versificational devices. Researching verse enables desirable closeness of literature and theory which results in functionalizing versificational choices in concrete, historically and socially definite context – in this aspect versification becomes an object of modern humanistic thought. The author proclaims the necessity of enhancing the status of this problematics in academic training as well as its diversification through discussing versology also within historic-literary curricula.Artykuł omawia miejsce i zadania poetyki w uniwersyteckim kształceniu polonistycznym, która wprowadza studentów w podstawy teorii literatury oraz przygotowuje do praktykowania sztuki interpretacji. Szczególną uwagę autorka poświęca roli wersyfikacji w edukacji filologicznej, podkreślając jej strukturalistyczne tradycje oraz dążenie do semantyzacji i antropologizacji wersologicznych chwytów. Dzięki badaniom form wierszowych możliwe jest pożądane zbliżenie teorii do literatury, które pociąga za sobą sfunkcjonalizowanie wyborów wersyfikacyjnych w konkretnym, historycznie i społecznie określonym kontekście, tym samym włączając wersologię w przestrzeń współczesnej refleksji humanistycznej. Konieczne jest także dowartościowanie tej problematyki w kształceniu akademickim i jej dywersyfikacja poprzez przywoływanie również na przedmiotach historycznoliterackich

The paper investigates manners of linguistic description of psychosomatic, autobiographically interpreted experience in contemporary women’s poetry, which is analyzed in the context of the poetics of the moment, with reference to Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht’s concept of “poetry as a mode of attention.” The authoress is particularly interested in the figure of paronomasia, evoking homonymic, parallel spheres: the material and the transcendental one. Homo sapiens innocens. Wisława Szymborska (Eko)Poetski projekt.

Nature occupies one of the most important topics in Wisława Szymborska’s poetry, where the lyrical subject is always positioned in relation to other beings and within the perspective of an extended time span. The author of this article, in accentuating the anthropocentric perspective on Szymborska’s poetry, proposes a reading of her poetry in the context of ecopoetry. She understands it, following Julia Fiedorczuk, as a call to reevaluate the relationship between the human and non-human world, to reflect, with the aid of poetry, on the relationship between poetry and the natural world, and also to lift the dualism between nature and culture.Priroda je jedna od važnijih tema poezije Wisławe Szymborske, a njezin je junak uvijek situiran prema drugim bićima i u perspektivi dugog trajanja. Autorica članka, naglašavajući antropocentričnost gledišta toga stvaralaštva, istodobno predlaže čitanje pjesama dobitnice Nobelove nagrade u kontekstu ekopoetike. Kao i Julija Fiedorczuk, ekopoetiku shvaća kao postulat prevrednovanja odnosa među ljudskim i ne-ljudskim svijetom, razmatranja veza između poezije i prirodne okoline pomoću pjesme, kao i ukidanja dualizma između prirode i kulture

„Living with a full stop at one’s feet”. Poetic re-narrations of Wisława Szymborska

The narrative way of seeing the world confronted with the poetic form is characteristic of Wisława Szymborska’s poems. A short story is not only linked with discovering and understanding the reality but also with creating the individual identity. The article presents the variety of types and the evolution of Szymborska’s narrative techniques emphasizing their cognitive and ethical sphere. Her poetry is understood as the individual re-narration of the great story of life, which neither explains nor organises anything, yet is necessary for the lyrical subject to exist consciously. The poet’s auto-reflective narrative gesture adds to the metaphysical dimension and as such simultaneously becomes the expression of opposition to nothingness.Wiersze Wisławy Szymborskiej cechuje narracyjny sposób widzenia świata zderzony z poetycką formą. Opowiadanie wiąże się tu bowiem z odkrywaniem i rozumieniem rzeczywistości oraz kształtowaniem własnej tożsamości. Artykuł pokazuje rodzaje i ewolucję technik narracyjnych Szymborskiej, podkreślając ich poznawczy i etyczny wymiar. An important, though underestimated theme in Polish poetry written by women is the thread of poetry engaged in social and political matters, thematizing the connection between literature and civic life. Poetesses are often accused of not rooting their works in history and of unwillingness to bring up current topics. Yet the problem is not the lack of interest in history and its political and social dimension, but the distinct way of its conceptualization, the relationship between the individual – though not always revealing its sex – subjective “I” in relation to history and challenges of its times. Książka stanowi próbę opisania współczesnej poezji kobiet na przestrzeni ostatniego stulecia ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem problematyki cielesności, metafizyczności i codzienności. Wśród bohaterek ujęć panoramicznych oraz zbliżeń interpretacyjnych znajdują się m.in. Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, Ludmiła Marjańska, Wisława Szymborska, Krystyna Miłobędzka, Halina Poświatowska, Bogusława Latawiec, Ewa Lipska, Krystyna Dąbrowska, Justyna Bargielska czy Kira Pietrek. Nie niwelując różnic między pisarkami, wynikających z ich odmiennej historycznoliterackiej i pokoleniowej przynależności, osobnych biografii i indywidualnych poetyk, autorka poszukuje w omawianej twórczości punktów wspólnych oraz powtarzających się tendencji. The prospects for and paths of the avant-garde: the case of Tadeusz Peiper

The author presents the ways in which “Peiperism”, i.e. a model of thinking about the avant-garde as exemplified by the reception of Tadeusz Peiper’s works, is disintegrating today. Research on avant-garde poetry which privileged a theoretical perspective resulted in the distorted reception of texts, thus building a doctrinal model of the first avant-garde that marginalized or objectified literary works. However, the restoration of the superior role of poetry which was absorbed and dominated by the structural concept of poetic language compels readers to “leave the beaten track” and try to read Peiper’s works in a different way. At the same time, established opinions on the intellectual and nonphysical as well as fully expressible and complex model of the Cracow avantgarde are redefined. A closer look at the texts reveals interpretational differences and shows that avant-garde authors’ utopian projects are not necessarily congruent with their output.221511689Przestrzenie Teori

The article addresses the problem of absence of women’s poetry in the linguistic current of 20th-century Polish poetry. It analyses its causes, amongst which the pivotal role is played by the stereotypical vision of women’s poetry, deeply ingrained in general awareness. The vision in question does not admit “difficult” forms and thus places women’s poetic work outside the avant-garde tendencies, linguistic experiment and metareflection. ”On the Operating Table”. The hospital experience in modern Polish women’s poetry

Przedmiot artykułu stanowią „wiersze szpitalne”, pojawiające się we współczesnej poezji kobiet, czyli teksty rozgrywające się i tematyzujące przestrzeń szpitala oraz opisujące typowe dla niego sytuacje. Autorka uruchamia perspektywę geopoetyki i badań tożsamościowych, wykorzystując i konfrontując w interpretacjach kategorie miejsca autobiograficznego i atopicznego. Szpital okazuje się specyficznym „nie-miejscem” tej poezji – przestrzenią niczyją, niezrozumiałą i nieprzychylną istnieniu, którą bohaterki próbują zracjonalizować i oswoić. Wśród analizowanych miejsc szpitala, prowokujących autorki do stawiania pytań o sens i tożsamość, należą korytarze, okna oraz sala operacyjna. Natomiast opisywane wielokrotnie w wierszach kobiet „chirurgiczne cięcie” prowadzi do otwarcia zarówno ciała, jak i świadomości osobowo rozumianego podmiotu, uruchamiając perspektywę metafizyczną i eschatologiczną oraz problematyzując relację psyche – soma.U radu se istražuju „bolnički stihovi“ iz suvremene ženske poezije: pjesme tematiziranju bolni-čki prostor, odvijaju se u njemu te opisuju tipične bolničke govorne situacije. Autorica analizira pjesme pomoću sredstava geopoetike i studija identiteta ‒ u svojim interpretacijama ona traži i suočava kategorije autobiografskih i atopijskih mjesta. U analiziranoj poeziji bolnica se pojav-ljuje kao „ne-mjesto“: ne-za-žene mjesto, nerazumljivo i negostoljubivo. Njezini hodnici, pro-zori i operacijske dvorane moraju se prvo racionalizirati i udomaćiti; oni izazivaju pitanja o smislu i identitetu. „Kirurški rez“, tako često opisan u ženskoj poeziji, ovdje se analizira kao otvoreni rez, ne samo tijela već i svijesti; to otvara nove metafizičke i eshatološke perspektive i problematizira odnos psiha – soma.The essay concerns „hospital verses” collected from modern women’s poetry: poems thematizing hospital space, taking place in it as well as describing typical hospital communicative situations. The author analyzes the poems using devices of geopoetics and identity studies – in her interpretations she is searching and confronting categories of places autobiographical and atopical. In the analyzed poetry a hospital appears as a „non-place”: a no-(wo) man’s-space, incomprehensible and inhospitable. Its corridors, windows and operating rooms must be first rationalized and domesticated; they provoke questions on sense and identity. „Surgical incision”, so often described in women’s poetry analyzed here, is a cut opening not only the body, but also the consciousness; it opens up new metaphysical and eschatological perspectives and problematizes the psyche – soma relation
