El Quijote y la melancolía

This article investigates Cervantes’ masterpiece’s inaugural character in modern literature. To do so, we explore the concept of melancholy, central to the Quixote, and argue that this concept can be understood as a structural generator of the modern literary work. The analysis is first performed in the ideological and historical context of the time of Cervantes, the “melancholic age”, then moving on to study the way in which Cervantes has internalised this “objective melancholy” in his construction of the character of Don Quixote and of the literary work itself. Thirdly, Cervantes’ originality is located in a more general ontological history of melancholy, which discovers in it an important key to the archaeology of the present.En este artículo se indaga en el carácter inaugural de la literatura moderna que posee la obra capital de Cervantes. Para ello, se analiza el concepto de melancolía, central en El Quijote, y se sostiene que ese concepto puede entenderse como generador estructural de la obra literaria moderna. El análisis se lleva a cabo, en primer lugar, en el contexto histórico-ideológico de la época de Cervantes, “era melancólica”, para trasladarse, en segundo lugar, al estudio de la manera en que Cervantes ha interiorizado esa “melancolía objetiva” en la construcción del personaje de D. Quijote y de la propia obra literaria. En tercer lugar, se ubica la originalidad cervantina en una historia ontológica más general de la melancolía, que descubre en ella una importante clave de la arqueología de la actualidad

Foucault and the Recommencement of Philosophy

Javier de la Higuera discusses in his “Foucault and the Recommencement of Philosophy” the idea of a recommencement of philosophy that Michel Foucault has posited on several occasions, although with different meaning and intentions. This article reconstructs how he approached this in the 1960s and shows the fundamental changes that this idea of recommencement underwent in the later Foucault. In his last three years at the Collège de France, Foucault appeared to reinterpret the very idea of philosophy based on his analysis of ancient spirituality and of parrhesiastic philosophical practice. The interpretation that Gilles Deleuze gave of late Foucault, devoted to the study of the new axis of subjectivation, makes it possible to confirm that this was also a question of a highly radical revision of the very status of philosophy and of its important role with regard to politics

En este documento se informa sobre la disponibilidad de series temporales de periodicidad anual de índices individuales de precios de consumo. Los "individuos" son los hogares de las dos grandes Encuestas de Presupuestos Familiares realizadas en 197374 Y --1980-81 por el Instituto Nacional de Estadistica. Las series se han obtenido a partir de la información públicada para los dos últimos sistemas oficiales del índice de Precios de Consumo, basado en 1976 y el aun vigente con base de 1983. La documentación técnica de los distintos ficheros va precedida de una explicación de los rasgos generales de un sistema de índices de precios de consumo y de las características esenciales del sistema español

The ontology of love in Pedro Laín and the idea of exteriority

Este artículo reconstruye la teoría del amor de Pedro Laín Entralgo, en su doble referencia, a la ontología fenomenológica y a la metafísica de Zubiri. El amor representa para Laín el lugar en que se produce la posesión íntima de lo real y, al mismo tiempo, la incursión en el dinamismo y la apertura de la misma realidad. El repaso por las formas y grados que la teoría lainiana distingue en el amor lleva a encontrar en su forma máxima una apertura ontológica de carácter vertical hacia el fundamento metafísico. El artículo esboza finalmente la posibilidad de reinterpretar el amor como relación horizontal con una exterioridad de carácter inmanente.This article reconstructs the love’s theory of Pedro Lain Entralgo in its double reference to phenomenological ontology and metaphysics of Zubiri. According Laín, love is the place in which intimate possession of reality take place and, at the same time, there occurs the immersion in the dynamism and openness of the same reality. The review of forms and degrees of love leads to finding in its highest form a vertical ontological openness towards metaphysical foundation. The article outlines the possibility of reinterpreting love as a horizontal relationship with immanent exteriority

Systematic Approach for Web Protection Runtime Tools’ Effectiveness Analysis

Web applications represent one of the principal vehicles by which attackers gain access to an organization’s network or resources. Thus, different approaches to protect web applications have been proposed to date. Of them, the two major approaches are Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Runtime Application Self Protection (RASP). It is, thus, essential to understand the differences and relative effectiveness of both these approaches for effective decision-making regarding the security of web applications. Here we present a comparative study between WAF and RASP simulated settings, with the aim to compare their effectiveness and efficiency against different categories of attacks. For this, we used computation of different metrics and sorted their results using F-Score index. We found that RASP tools scored better than WAF tools. In this study, we also developed a new experimental methodology for the objective evaluation of web protection tools since, to the best of our knowledge, no method specifically evaluates web protection tools

Design and Characterization of Textile Ultra Wideband (UWB) Antenna for Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN)

Projecte final de carrera fet en col.laboració amb Katholieke Universiteit Leuven,English: The rapidly growing demand for UWB high data rates wireless communication technology and the increasing interest in small, wearable antennas are the main motivation for this Master Thesis. This work reports on the process of design, development and fabrication of textile UWB antennas for wireless body area network (WBAN). The main objective is to design antennas which are able to be integrated within clothing, so that it will be a transparent (electronic) device to a human user. However, there exists various difficulties in designing UWB wearable antennas as compared to conventional narrowband antennas. This is especially challenging when designing using conductive fabric as its main construction material. The various considerations such as dimensions of the antenna, radiation properties, frequency range and low power consumption make the design process more complicated.Castellano: La rápida y creciente demanda de transmisión de datos a alta velocidad mediante UWB y el creciente interés en pequeñas y portables antenas son las principales razones para este proyecto. Este trabajo se basa en el diseño, el desarrollo y la fabricación de antenas textiles y UWB para WBAN. El principal objetivo es el diseño de antenas que puedan ser integradas en la ropa, para así ser un dispositivo eléctrico invisible para el usuario. Por otro lado, existen varias dificultades en el diseño de antenas UWB textiles comparado con el típico proceso de diseño de antenas de banda estrecha. Resulta especialmente desafiante el diseño de una antena usando como material principal un tejido. Varias consideraciones como el tamaño de la antena, las propiedades de radiación, el rango de frecuencia y la energía consumida hacen aún más complicado el proceso de diseño.Català: La ràpida i creixent demanda de transmissió de dades a alta velocitat mitjançant UWB i el creixent interès en petites i portables antenes són les principals raons per a aquest projecte. Resulta especialment desafiant el disseny d'una antena utilitzant com a material principal un teixit. A new multi-label dataset for Web attacks CAPEC classification using machine learning techniques

Context: There are many datasets for training and evaluating models to detect web attacks, labeling each request as normal or attack. Web attack protection tools must provide additional information on the type of attack detected, in a clear and simple way. Objectives: This paper presents a new multi-label dataset for classifying web attacks based on CAPEC classification, a new way of features extraction based on ASCII values, and the evaluation of several combinations of models and algorithms. Methods: Using a new way to extract features by computing the average of the sum of the ASCII values of each of the characters in each field that compose a web request, several combinations of algorithms (LightGBM and CatBoost) and multi-label classification models are evaluated, to provide a complete CAPEC classification of the web attacks that a system is suffering. The training and test data used for training and evaluating the models come from the new SR-BH 2020 multi-label dataset. Results: Calculating the average of the sum of the ASCII values of the different characters that make up a web request shows its usefulness for numeric encoding and feature extraction. The new SR-BH 2020 multi-label dataset allows the training and evaluation of multi-label classification models, also allowing the CAPEC classification of the various attacks that a web system is undergoing. The combination of the two-phase model with the MultiOutputClassifier module of the scikit-learn library, together with the CatBoost algorithm shows its superiority in classifying attacks in the different criticality scenarios. Conclusion: Experimental results indicate that the combination of machine learning algorithms and multi-phase models leads to improved prediction of web attacks. Also, the use of a multi-label dataset is suitable for training learning models that provide information about the type of attack. (c) 2022 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd. Sellutehtaan jätevedenkäsittelyn toimintavarmuuden parantaminen

Tarkoituksena ja toimeksiantona tässä opinnäytetyössä oli selvittää, miten sellutehtaan mekaanisen jätevedenkäsittelyn laitteiden toimintavarmuutta, erityisesti hienovälppien toimintaa voidaan parantaa. Työssä selvitetään, miksi jätevedenkäsittelylaitos ei aina toimi odotetulla tavalla ja annetaan ratkaisuehdotus siihen. Työn alussa avataan hieman työhön liittyvää käsitteistöä ja annetaan kokonaiskuva mekaanisesta jätevedenkäsittelystä keskittyen käytännönläheisesti erityisesti juuri Uimaharjun tapaukseen. Käytännön osuudessa kerrotaan, millaisia ongelmia jätevedenkäsittelyssä ilmeni, miten ongelman tutkiminen aloitettiin ja miten niitä lähdettiin ratkaisemaan. Opinnäytetyön viimeisessä osuudessa on esitetty, millä käytännön toimenpiteillä jätevedenkäsittelyn toimintaa pyrittiin saamaan varmemmaksi. Lopuksi annetaan ehdotus, millainen kustannustehokas ja toimintavarmempi ratkaisu sopisi juuri kyseiseen jäteveden puhdistamislaitokseen.The main goal and the task of this thesis was to explore how the reliability of the effluent pre screening equipment could be increased at Uimaharju pulp mill. This thesis presents why the effluent treatment plant isn’t occasionally working properly and the conclusion for the problem is also given. In the beginning of this thesis some basic information about mechanical effluent treatment is given which concentrates in case Uimaharju practically. The actual practical part of this work tells the problems which appeared at the effluent treatment plant. The practical part also gives answers for the questions how troubleshoot was started and what kinds of methods were used to solve those problems. In the last section of this thesis the practical actions to improve the operation of the effluent treatment plant are presented. More reliable and cost-effective solution is introduced in the end of this work

Fenomenología asubjetiva y empirismo trascendental

Resumo: En este artículo se presenta el proyecto del filósofo checho Jan Patočka (1907-1977), de una “fenomenología asubjetiva”. Para ello, se presenta, en primer lugar, su concepción de la filosofía como pensamiento ontológico pero comprometido con el presente. Patočka ve como modelo de la actitud filosófica la experiencia socrática y su formalización platónica, aunque proponiendo un original “platonismo negativo”. Se presenta a continuación la interpretación general que el autor checo hace de la fenomenología de Husserl como un “segundo comienzo de la filosofía”. Para llevar a cabo esa refundación de la filosofía, Husserl reinterpreta de modo radical los motivos más originales del idealismo alemán del s. XIX, en particular su principio especulativo. Por último, se presenta la crítica de Patočka al subjetivismo de la fenomenología husserliana como prolongación de la intención husserliana original e intento de corregirla a través de la idea de una especulación abierta, lo que Patočka denomina “empirismo trascendental”.Palabras-clave: Fenomenología; Idealismo; Especulación; Empirismo trascendenta
