Helsinkiläisten kerrostaloasuntojen hinnanmuodostus
Tutkielman tavoitteena on luoda lineaarisen regressioanalyysin avulla hinnoittelumalli helsinkiläisille
kerrostaloasunnoille, minkä avulla pyritään selvittämään asuntojen hinnanmuodostukseen vaikuttavia
tekijöitä ja niiden vaikutusten suuruutta. Tutkielman alussa kuvataan asuntomarkkinoita Suomessa
keskittyen erityisesti hinnanmuodostukseen mahdollisesti vaikuttaviin tekijöihin. Teoriaosiossa
käsitellään lineaarista regressioanalyysiä, jota voidaan käyttää yhden selitettävän muuttujan ja yhden tai
usean selittävän muuttujan välisen lineaarisen yhteyden mallintamiseen ja selittämiseen.
Tutkielman empiiristä osiota varten on poimittu aineisto Kiinteistönvälitysalan Keskusliitto ry:n KVKL
HSP -hintaseurantapalvelusta. Palvelusta löytyy suomalaisten kiinteistönvälittäjien tekemät
asuntokaupat sisältäen yksityiskohtaista tietoa myydyistä asunnoista. Aineistoksi rajattiin tammikuun
2016 ja elokuun 2017 välillä tapahtuneet helsinkiläiset kerrostaloasuntokaupat. Lisäksi aineistoa on
-pituuksia kohteista keskustaan hyödyntäen Google Maps -karttapalvelun ohjelmointirajapintaa.
Tutkielmassa muodostetaan pienimmän neliösumman menetelmällä yhteensä kolme eri estimointimallia,
joiden avulla kuvataan ja selitetään eri ominaisuustekijöiden vaikutuksia asunnon hintaan. Mallit
kuvaavat niissä olevien yksittäisten selittäjien arvojen vaihtelun vaikutusta, kun muiden selittäjien
vaikutus on vakioitu. Tutkielmassa onnistuttiin selittämään asuntojen hinnanmuodostusta melko tarkasti.
asuntomarkkinoiden suhdanteen nousukehitys
Multi-scheme chemical ionization inlet (MION) for fast switching of reagent ion chemistry in atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS) applications
A novel chemical ionization inlet named the Multi-scheme chemical IONization inlet (MION), Karsa Ltd., Helsinki, Finland) capable of fast switching between multiple reagent ion schemes is presented, and its performance is demonstrated by measuring several known oxidation products from much-studied cyclohexene and alpha-pinene ozonolysis systems by applying consecutive bromide (Br-) and nitrate (NO3-) chemical ionization. Experiments were performed in flow tube reactors under atmospheric pressure and room temperature (22 degrees C) utilizing an atmospheric pressure interface time-of-flight mass spectrometer (APi-ToF-MS, Tofwerk Ltd., Thun, Switzerland) as the detector. The application of complementary ion modes in probing the same steady-state reaction mixture enabled a far more complete picture of the detailed autoxidation process; the HO2 radical and the least-oxidized reaction products were retrieved with Br- ionization, whereas the highest-oxidized reaction products were detected in the NO3- mode, directly providing information on the first steps and on the ultimate endpoint of oxidation, respectively. While chemical ionization inlets with multiple reagent ion capabilities have been reported previously, an application in which the charging of the sample occurs at atmospheric pressure with practically no sample pretreatment, and with the potential to switch the reagent ion scheme within a second timescale, has not been introduced previously. Also, the ability of bromide ionization todetect highly oxygenated organic molecules (HOM) from atmospheric autoxidation reactions has not been demonstrated prior to this investigation.Peer reviewe

Evolution of alpha-pinene oxidation products in the presence of varying oxidizers: CI-APi-TOF point of view
Alpha-pinene oxidation was studied in the CERN CLOUD chamber under near atmospheric conditions using varying levels of different oxidizers (i.e., O_3 , HO_x and NO_x with differing gas mixture compositions) in the presence and absence of UV-radiation, SO_2 and additional organic traces; ammonia (NH_3) and dimethylamine (DMA). The oxidation products and their evolution due to aging in the chamber were studied using a novel CI-APi-TOF technique, with the nitrate ion (NO^−_3 ) based chemical ionization (CI) scheme. We aimed to the results that would indicate how different oxidizing pathways lead to different product distributions in the product clusters detected
Measurements of sub-3nm particles using a particle size magnifier in different environments : from clean mountain top to polluted megacities
The measurement of sub-3 nm aerosol particles is technically challenging. Therefore, there is a lack of knowledge about the concentrations of atmospheric sub-3 nm particles and their variation in different environments. In this study, the concentrations of similar to 1-3 nm particles measured with a particle size magnifier (PSM) were investigated at nine sites around the world. Sub-3 nm particle concentrations were highest at the sites with strong anthropogenic influence. In boreal forest, measured particle concentrations were clearly higher in summer than in winter, suggesting the importance of biogenic precursor vapors in this environment. At all sites, sub-3 nm particle concentrations had daytime maxima, which are likely linked to the photochemical production of precursor vapors and the emissions of precursor vapors or particles from different sources. When comparing ion concentrations to the total sub-3 nm particle concentrations, electrically neutral particles were observed to dominate in polluted environments and in boreal forest during spring and summer. Generally, the concentrations of sub-3 nm particles seem to be determined by the availability of precursor vapors rather than the level of the sink caused by preexisting aerosol particles. The results also indicate that the formation of the smallest particles and their subsequent growth to larger sizes are two separate processes, and therefore studying the concentration of sub-3 nm particles separately in different size ranges is essential.Peer reviewe

Adsorptive uptake of water by semisolid secondary organic aerosols
Aerosol climate effects are intimately tied to interactions with water. Here we combine hygroscopicity measurements with direct observations about the phase of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) particles to show that water uptake by slightly oxygenated SOA is an adsorption-dominated process under subsaturated conditions, where low solubility inhibits water uptake until the humidity is high enough for dissolution to occur. This reconciles reported discrepancies in previous hygroscopicity closure studies. We demonstrate that the difference in SOA hygroscopic behavior in subsaturated and supersaturated conditions can lead to an effect up to about 30% in the direct aerosol forcinghighlighting the need to implement correct descriptions of these processes in atmospheric models. Obtaining closure across the water saturation point is therefore a critical issue for accurate climate modeling.Peer reviewe
