Manifestations of cardiotoxicity in patients after radiation therapy
Cardiotoxic effects of antitumor treatment are diverse and develop both after chemotherapeutic treatment and after the application of radiation therapy. In recent decades, the problem of heart lesions due to the use of radiotherapy has acquired new significance, primarily due to a significant increase in the number of patients exposed to radiation in the modern world. The frequency of radiation damage to the cardiovascular system is quite high and, according to various data, can reach 54%. The structure of radiation-induced disease describes the development of pericarditis, cardiomyopathy, coronary and valvular pathology, rhythm and conduction disorders, post-radiation heart disease is one of the most difficult in treatment and early diagnosis is the most important task of the modern trend - cardiooncology. How teachers' practices and students' attitudes towards technology affect mathematics achievement: results and insights from PISA 2012
The present work seeks to deepen the impact of factors linked to the characteristics of teaching practices and students' attitudes towards the use of technology on their performance in mathematics in the process of teaching-learning in the Spanish context. In this sense, this study is a secondary analysis of the PISA 2012 data. Therefore, it is an ex post facto design. Regarding the attitudes and the contextual variables, the results do coincide with the accumulated evidence. However, once these contextual effects have been controlled for, the negative relationship found between the pedagogic strategies used by the teachers and the mathematics score cannot but convey perplexity, since the results relative to student-oriented, formative assessment and teacher-directed instruction are clearly contradictory to the solid previous evidence. The data do not allow us to explain this paradoxical result. We dare to point to a conjecture that we find plausible. All these complex variables are informed through questionnaires responded to by students and require a great degree of inference in the answers. Future studies must consider the complexity of the measured variables as well as the students' perception and understanding of them
Cardiovascular complications of immune checkpoint inhibitors
Cardiovascular toxicity of cancer therapies remains an urgent problem today. The creation of highly effect antitumor drugs also means the appearance of new adverse effects. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) is a new class of antitumor drugs that is different from traditional chemotherapeutic and targeted drugs. Immunotherapy with ICI (monoclonal antibodies targeting the cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) or its ligand (PD-L1)) significantly improved the results of treatment of cancer therapy. These drugs regulate antitumor immunity and promote cancer regression and improve survival, but can also cause a wide range of immunity-related adverse events (AEs). Although cardiotoxicity associated with ICI is rare, it is important because of its high mortality rates. In recent years, cases of myocarditis and fatal heart failure have been recorded more often in patients receiving ICI. This review focuses on the mechanisms of cardiotoxicity, methods for the prevention and treatment of these adverse events. Severe cardiovascular consequences associated with the use of ICI are important issues for oncologists, cardiologists and immunologists
Synthesis and properties of novel polyurethanes based on amino ethers of boric acid for gas separation membranes
Β© The Royal Society of Chemistry. Herein we present the structural and mechanical properties of polyurethanes synthesized from amino ethers of boric acid for gas separation. The polymers were characterized by light scattering methods, conductivity measurements, thermal gravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy. Additionally, the permeability of ammonia and carbon dioxide, as well as the selectivity for their diffusion and resultant impurity are presented. The results illustrate the steric hindrance, resulting in a branched architecture borate formation, leads to intermolecular complexation which may assist the polymer in ammonia diffusion selectivity
Comparison of the results of <sup>85</sup>Kr transport modeling with the ACURATE field experiment data
Β© 2017, Allerton Press, Inc.Currently the Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (NSI RAS) jointly with the Hydrometcenter of Russia is developing the system for forecasting the transfer of radio-active substances in the atmosphere in case of radiation accidents at Russian nuclear power plants. The operation of the system is based on the numerical hydrodynamic model which allows forecasting meteorological parameters and is coupled with the mesoscale dispersion model of the transfer ofradioactive substances in the atmosphere. The results are presented of 85Kr transport modeling under the conditions of the ACURATE experiment with three transport models: FLEXPART, HYSPLIT, and the model from the NOSTRADAMUS software package. It is demonstrated that all three Lagrangian models can give a qualitative description of concentration fields from the ACURATE experiment with the best value of the RANK metric (2.5) based on three statistics
APLIKASI MANAJEMEN KEGIATAN UNTUK ORGANISASI NON PROFIT BERBASIS WEBSITE
Suatu organisasi memiliki berbagai program kerja, yang di dalamnya ada kepanitian khusus. Biasanya manajemen kegiatan yang berisi pengelolaan keuangan pada masing-masing organisasi dan lembaga dikepalai oleh bendahara. Pengelolaan keuangan tersebut menjadi sebuah kebutuhan, karena bendahara tersebut wajib selalu melaporkan pencatatan keuangan. Tentu akan menjadi tidak efektif jika melakukan pencatatan keuangan harus melakukannya secara manual. Di samping susah, pencatatan secara manual sangat beresiko seperti rusak dan hilangnya buku pencatatan. Ada lagi pencatatan dengan cara lain yaitu menggunakan software yang sudah ada seperti Microsoft Excel, namun hal tersebut masih kurang efisien dan kurang efektif sehingga diperlukan tools pencatatan yang lebih baik agar mencapai tujuan dan sasaran yang diinginkan. Subjek penelitian yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah aplikasi pengelolaan keuangan untuk organisasi non profit berbasis website. Langkah pengembangan aplikasi yaitu menggunakan waterfall model. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan sebuah website tentang βaplikasi manajemen kegiatan untuk organisasi non profit berbasis websiteβ yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan manajemen kegiatan bagi organisasi non profit sehingga pekerjaan seorang bendahara menjadi mudah dan efektif.Keywords: Manajemen Kegiatan, Nonprofit Online, Organisasi Non Profit
