    De la negociación colectiva al diálogo social : la transformación de las relaciones profesionales en la Unión Europea y Francia

    Artículo originalLa noción de diálogo social parece hoy día imponerse en Europa y en el mundo. Esto nos hace olvidar muy a menudo que hace veinte años era marginal dentro del campo de las relaciones colectivas del trabajo. Actualmente el uso de esta noción es, no solamente hegemónico por su reconocimiento legal, sino que también se ha vuelto, del punto de vista semántico, la expresión para designar no un proceso en particular sino el sistema genérico que reúne todos los elementos de las relaciones colectivas del trabajo. Allí operó un cambio radical de la cultura política en el seno de las relaciones profesionales tal como éstas se habían generalizado inmediatamente después de la segunda guerra mundial en la mayoría de los países de Europa occidental: se pasó de la centralidad en el conflicto a la cultura de los partícipes sociales.     A V530I Mutation in c-KIT Exon 10 Is Associated to Imatinib Response in Extraabdominal Aggressive Fibromatosis

    Aggressive fibromatosis (AF) or desmoid tumor is a rare condition, characterized by deep tissue invasion by a monoclonal fibroblastic neoplasm, developed from musculoaponeurotic structures. Surgery is the treatment of choice, but negative margins can hardly been achieved in large tumors, and can lead to major functional disability. AF medical therapy includes nonsteroids anti-inflammatory drugs, tamoxifen, with inconsistent results. Several reports of imatinib efficacy in AF appear in the literature. Here, we describe for the first time a V530I KIT exon 10 mutant that was associated to a dramatic imatinib response in an extraabdominal aggressive fibromatosis. The previously discovered V530I substitution was characterized in the core binding factor AML, but had never been reported in any other condition, so far. In this paper, we discuss the KIT exon 10 mutations or polymorphisms that have been described in a variety of KIT-related conditions, including acute myelogenous leukemia, mastocytosis, and aggressive fibromatosis

    Micromirror total internal reflection microscopy for high-performance single particle tracking at interfaces

    Single particle tracking has found broad applications in the life and physical sciences, enabling the observation and characterisation of nano- and microscopic motion. Fluorescence-based approaches are ideally suited for high-background environments, such as tracking lipids or proteins in or on cells, due to superior background rejection. Scattering-based detection is preferable when localisation precision and imaging speed are paramount due to the in principle infinite photon budget. Here, we show that micromirror-based total internal reflection dark field microscopy enables background suppression previously only reported for interferometric scattering microscopy, resulting in nm localisation precision at 6 μ\mus exposure time for 20 nm gold nanoparticles with a 25 x 25 μ\mum2^{2} field of view. We demonstrate the capabilities of our implementation by characterizing sub-nm deterministic flows of 20 nm gold nanoparticles at liquid-liquid interfaces. Our results approach the optimal combination of background suppression, localisation precision and temporal resolution achievable with pure scattering-based imaging and tracking of nanoparticles at regular interfaces.Comment: 27 pages, 4 figure

    Aberrant Lipid Metabolism in the Forebrain Niche Suppresses Adult Neural Stem Cell Proliferation in an Animal Model of Alzheimer’s Disease

    SummaryLipid metabolism is fundamental for brain development and function, but its roles in normal and pathological neural stem cell (NSC) regulation remain largely unexplored. Here, we uncover a fatty acid-mediated mechanism suppressing endogenous NSC activity in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We found that postmortem AD brains and triple-transgenic Alzheimer’s disease (3xTg-AD) mice accumulate neutral lipids within ependymal cells, the main support cell of the forebrain NSC niche. Mass spectrometry and microarray analyses identified these lipids as oleic acid-enriched triglycerides that originate from niche-derived rather than peripheral lipid metabolism defects. In wild-type mice, locally increasing oleic acid was sufficient to recapitulate the AD-associated ependymal triglyceride phenotype and inhibit NSC proliferation. Moreover, inhibiting the rate-limiting enzyme of oleic acid synthesis rescued proliferative defects in both adult neurogenic niches of 3xTg-AD mice. These studies support a pathogenic mechanism whereby AD-induced perturbation of niche fatty acid metabolism suppresses the homeostatic and regenerative functions of NSCs

    Drying nano particles solution on an oscillating tip at an air liquid interface: what we can learn, what we can do

    Evaporation of fluid at micro and nanometer scale may be used to self-assemble nanometre-sized particles in suspension. Evaporating process can be used to gently control flow in micro and nanofluidics, thus providing a potential mean to design a fine pattern onto a surface or to functionalize a nanoprobe tip. In this paper, we present an original experimental approach to explore this open and rather virgin domain. We use an oscillating tip at an air liquid interface with a controlled dipping depth of the tip within the range of the micrometer. Also, very small dipping depths of a few ten nanometers were achieved with multi walls carbon nanotubes glued at the tip apex. The liquid is an aqueous solution of functionalized nanoparticles diluted in water. Evaporation of water is the driving force determining the arrangement of nanoparticles on the tip. The results show various nanoparticles deposition patterns, from which the deposits can be classified in two categories. The type of deposit is shown to be strongly dependent on whether or not the triple line is pinned and of the peptide coating of the gold nanoparticle. In order to assess the classification, companion dynamical studies of nanomeniscus and related dissipation processes involved with thinning effects are presented

    Spin-state studies with XES and RIXS: From static to ultrafast

    We report on extending hard X-ray emission spectroscopy (XES) along with resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) to study ultrafast phenomena in a pump-probe scheme at MHz repetition rates. The investigated systems include low-spin (LS) Fe-II complex compounds, where optical pulses induce a spin-state transition to their (sub)nanosecond-lived high-spin (HS) state. Time-resolved XES clearly reflects the spin-state variations with very high signal-to-noise ratio, in agreement with HS-LS difference spectra measured at thermal spin crossover, and reference HS-LS systems in static experiments, next to multiplet calculations. The 1s2p RIXS, measured at the Fe Is pre-edge region, shows variations after laser excitation, which are consistent with the formation of the HS state. Our results demonstrate that X-ray spectroscopy experiments with overall rather weak signals, such as RIXS, can now be reliably exploited to study chemical and physical transformations on ultrafast time scales.
