    Peningkatan Keterampilan Tentang Persamaan Dan Fungsi Kuadrat Pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Dengan Pembelajaran Model Elaborasi (EB) Siswa Kelas X TPM A SMK Negeri 1 Jenangan

    Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh peneliti dari daftar nilai diketahui bahwa keterampilan siswa untuk dalam bidang Matematika khususnya pada kompetensi dasar Mendeskripsikan persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat sangat rendah, yakni hanya 52,78% dari jumlah siswa dinyatakan tuntas belajar dan nilai rerata yang dicapai hanya 58,61. Hal semacam ini jika dibiarkan, maka akan membawa dampak yang fatal. Peneliti menganggap masalah tersebut merupakan sesuatu yang urgen. Pada kesempatan ini peneliti menawarkan model pembelajaran Elaborasi. Apabila guru menerapkan model pembelajaran Elaborasi diharapkan minimal 75% dari jumlah siswa terampil dalam Mendeskripsikan persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus, terdiri atas 6 pertemuan. Tiap pertemuan terdiri atas 2 x 45 menit. Tiap siklus meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data diambil dengan menggunakan instrument tes, wawancara, angket dan jurnal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan Mendeskripsikan persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat melalui metode Elaborasi pada siswa Kelas X TPM A, SMK Negeri 1 Jenangan Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Peranan Model Pembelajaran Elaborasi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan Matematika materi ajar Mendeskripsikan persamaan dan fungsi kuadrat ini ditandai adanya peningkatan nilai rerata (Mean Score) mulai dari siklus pertama sampai siklus terakhir, yakni : pada siklus I 68,61; siklus II 73,06; dan siklus III 77,22. Selain ditandai adanya peningkatan mean skor juga ditandai adanya peningkatan persentase ketuntasan belajar dari siklus pertama hingga siklus terakhir, yaitu pada siklus I hanya 61,11%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 72,22%, pada siklus III terjadi peningkatan mencapai 91,67%

Selain itu juga ditandai adanya peningkatan prosentasi ketuntasan belajar dari siklus pertama hingga siklus terakhir, yaitu siklus I hanya 34,29%, siklus II meningkat menjadi 54,29%, pada siklus III terjadi peningkatan mencapai 81,43% Kenyataan membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatan pemahaman konsep Matematika pada materi ajar Mendeskripsikan Konsep Eksponen dan Logaritma

    The Mastery of English Vocabulary of the Third Grade Students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the Academic Year 2012/2013 Taught by Using Total Physical Response (TPR)

    One of the aims of teaching English in Elementary School is to enhance students to be able to understand English words which they might find in their environment. In fact, students often find problems in learning the words. So it needs more teachers’ attention to make the transfer of the vocabulary process easier to grasp and more fun to learn. Meanwhile, the students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana also have some problems in learning vocabulary. From the reasons above, the writer is intereseted to carry on a research entitled “The Mastery of English Vocabulary of the Third Grade Students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the Academic Year 2012/2013 Taught by Using Total Physical Response (TPR)” The purposes of the research are: (i) to find out the extent of the English vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year of 2012/2013 before being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR) (ii) to find out the extent of the English vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year of 2012/2013 after being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR) (iii) to find out whether or not there is a significant difference of the English vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year of 2012/2013 before and after being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR) This research is experiement research with one group pretest-posttest. The sample of this research is all the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year 2012/2013 which consists of 32 students. Before applying Total Phisical Response to the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana, the writer gave try out to the third grade students of SD N Bendar to know the realiability of the test. The result of try out shows that the test is high reliable (0.80) The result of this research shows that (i) the vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year 2012/2013 before being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR) is categorized as sufficient. (Mean = 68.75, Standard Deviation =13.5) (ii) the vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year 2012/2013 after being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR) is categorized as good. (Mean = 89.91, Standard Deviation =8.75) (iii) there is a significant difference between the vocabulary mastery of the third grade students of SD N Dukutalit 01 Juwana in the academic year 2012/2013 before and after being taught by using Total Physical Response (TPR). It can be seen on t-observation is higher than t-table (to = 11.45 > tt = 2.04). Considering the process and the results of this research, the writer suggests that (i) the English Teacher should use Total Physical Response (TPR) in teaching English vocabulary is recommended for English teachers, especially for the elementary school teacher to attract the students’ interest and motivation in learning English (ii) the students should develop their vocabulary to master the four language skills. The students can use Total Physical Response (TPR) to improve the vocabulary mastery (iii) to get a wider generalization of the result of this study, such activity should be conducted in other classes of other school, and the writer hopes that there will be many researchers explore about how to apply Total Physical Response more effectively in the future

    STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS DIPLOPODA TANAH PADA KETINGGIAN BERBEDA DI PERKEBUNAN TEH KABAWETAN BENGKULU

    Soil diplopods are an important biotic component in agricultural land ecosystems. Its presence in the soil is an important in the decomposition process of soil organic matter, and plays a role in increasing soil fertility. This study aims to study the community structure of soil Diplopoda at different altitudes in the Bengkulu Kabawetan Tea Plantation. The location of the study used the stratified sampling method which is based on the altitude of 800 m, 900 m and 1000 m above sea level. Soil Diplopods were collected by using the 50x50 cm quadratic method and a 100 m line transect. Data analysis consisted of density, relative density, diversity index, and Morisita index. There were 4 types of soil Diplopods in the Bengkulu Kabawetan Tea Plantation, namely Arthrosphaera sp., Gyrodrepanum sp., Oxidus sp., and Trigoniulus sp. At an altitude of 900 m and 1000 m, 4 species of Diplopoda were found and at an altitude of 800 m consisted of 3 types of Diplopoda.  The density of soil diplopods at the three study locations varied, with the highest density at an altitude of 1000 m followed by at an altitude of 800 m and at 900m.     Kompetensi guru merupakan faktor utama untuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Seorang guru yang profesional harus memiliki beberapa kompetensi yaitu: kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi profesional. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengembangan kompetensi guru produktif, Strategi pengembangan kompetensi guru produktif dan hambatan serta faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan kompetensi guru produktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru produktif dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pengembangan kompetensi guru produktif dalam meningkatkan sikap kewirausahaan siswa melalui MGMP, (2) Pelaksanaan pengembangan kompetensi guru produktif ada dua tahap pertama alat-alat pratikum, tahap kedua staf pengajar, (3) Hambatan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru produktif dalam meningkatkan sikap kewirausahaan siswa pada SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh diantaranya ada,yang belum menekuni profesinya untuk menjadi guru profesional, serta kreativitas siswa

    Proyek pembangunan gedung bertingkat merupakan contoh kegiatan proyek yang sering dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. proyek tersebut mempunyai kegiatan-kegiatan yang banyak. Pada proyek tersebut permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah bagaimana menentukan jadwal proyek sehingga proyek tersebut dapat diselesaikan dengan waktu yang optimal, sehingga penjadwalan dengan menggunakan diagram jaringan dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini. Salah satu metode jaringan yang dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan durasi proyek tersebut adalah Precedence Diagram Method (PDM). Penjadwalan aktivitas pada PDM ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, antara lain perhitungan maju, perhitungan mundur, dan perhitungan float time. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mencari kegiatan krisis pada proyek tersebut. kegiatan krisis merupakan kegiatan yang tidak boleh mengalami penundaan waktu karena dapat mengakibatkan perubahan durasi proyek secara keseluruhan. Data yang digunakan dalam contoh sebagai penerapan dari metode ini data sekunder (dari buku)dan data primer (observasi lapangan) pada proyek dengan menggunakan metode Precedence Diagram Method antara lain waktu optimal yang diperlukan adalah 252 hari dan 4 kegiatan krisis yang waktu pelaksanaannya tidak boleh ditunda.     Preferensi Tikus terhadap Beberapa Jenis Umpan yang Berbeda di Kawasan Pemukiman

    This study aims to determine the preferences of rats for different types of feed in the residential area of ​​RT 6 and RT 8, Kandang Limun Village, Muara Bangkahulu District, Bengkulu City. The method used was random sampling with 20 clip-type mouse traps and four different types of feed baits distributed randomly around the residential areas of RT 6 and RT 8 in Kandang Limun Village. The rat collection was carried out in five replications and the number was counted, identified and preserved. Rat morphometry data were analyzed quantitatively and described descriptively. The results showed that there were two types of rats with a total of 13 individuals collected, namely Rattus tanezumi (12 individuals) and Suncus murinus (1 individual). The level of preference of rats for salted fish is 6%, sweet potato and corn is 3%, while cassava is the least preferred feed (1%). In conclusion, two species of rats were found in the residential area of ​​RT 6 and RT 8, Kandang Limun Village.     Rearing of Local Earthworms in The Mixed Media of Bagasse and Fish Waste

    This study aims to determine the preference of earthworms to a media, their population growth in the media, and their ability to produce vermicompost. This study was designed with a completely randomized design consisted of three (3) treatments and each treatment consisted of 7 replications. The treatments in this study were 3 species of local earthworms (Pheretima javanica, Pheretima asiatica, and Pontoscolex corethrurus). The rearing media used was the mixture of bagasse and fish waste. The parameters studied were the time needed by the earthworms to enter the media, the earthworms population growth rate, and the time needed by the earthworms in producing vermicompost. The results showed the three species tested could be lived on mixed media of bagasse and fish waste. The worm's preference to the media was determined based on the time of earthworms entering media. The fastest was Pheretima javanica (0.23 minutes), followed by Pheretima asiatica (3.09 minutes) and Pontoscolex corethrurus (6.94 minutes) (p<0.05). The population growth rate between Pheretima javanica (5.85) and Pheretima asiatica (5.71) was not significantly different, but both significantly higher than Pontoscolex corethrurus (0.29 individual/month). The time for vermicompost formation in Pheretima javanica (6 weeks) and Pheretima asiatica (6 weeks) was not significantly different, but they were significantly lower from the time for vermicompost formation in Pontoscolex corethrurus (8 weeks)

    Enhancing oral communication skills using mobile phones among undergraduate english language learners in Malaysia

    The study introduced the use of mobile phones in an English language learning course to second-language learners studying at a higher-education institution in Malaysia. Mobile phones have multifunctional capabilities that can be used anytime and anywhere at the convenience of the learners; therefore, the study aimed to investigate the possibility of using mobile phones as tools to improve the oral interaction skills of the learners. The study explored the basic functions built into mobile phones relevant for an oral communication skills course. A class of 50 learners was assigned as the treatment group and another class of 26 learners as the no treatment group. The treatment group was introduced to the audio recording devices in mobile phones and encouraged to practice the tasks assigned before the evaluation. This study adopted a quantitative research design, and the tools employed were a survey questionnaire and the course assessments. Data in the classroom were collected over a 10-week period. The findings demonstrated an increase in the performance of the learners at the end of the semester; nevertheless, the results must be interpreted with caution as use of mobile phones only started in week 5 of the 10-week semester which may not have given learners sufficient time to master the skills required to use them optimally for language learning.
