MRAC + H∞ fault tolerant control for linear parameter varying systems

Presentado al SysTol 2010 celebrado en Niza del 6 al 8 de octubre.Two different schemes for Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) based on Adaptive Control, Robust Control and Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) systems are proposed. These schemes include a Model Reference Adaptive Controller for an LPV system (MRAC-LPV) and a Model Reference Adaptive Controller with a H¿ Gain Scheduling Controller for an LPV system (MRAC-H¿ GS-LPV). In order to compare the performance of these schemes, a Coupled-Tank system was used as testbed in which two different types of faults (abrupt and gradual) with different magnitudes and different operating points were simulated. Results showed that the use of a Robust Controller in combination with an Adaptive Controller for an LPV system improves the FTC schemes because this controller was Fault Tolerant against sensor fault and had an accommodation threshold for actuator fault magnitudes from 0 to 6Peer Reviewe

Pedagogia Projetiva: Aproximações para uma proposta inovadora

AbstractIn the contemporary pedagogic agenda discussion about working by projects deals with different conceptions which go from assuming a project as an instrumental vision to recognizing projects as pedagogic options that go beyond methodology. Coming from this last one, next reflection presents “Project Pedagogy” as a proposal of educative innovation that is being fed by a pedagogical model which gives it life, an epistemological conception that supports it, and a wide, creative field of methodological and didactical tools that have contributed to its coming to fruition. But especially, it is showed that this proposal keeps a deep formative sense, because of it sets out children and teenagers grow up in a space that makes possible development of their autonomy, authenticity, and freedom.En la agenda pedagógica contemporánea, la discusión acerca del trabajo por proyectos aborda diferentes concepciones que van desde asumir el proyecto como una visión instrumental hasta reconocer en los proyectos una opción pedagógica que trasciende lo metodológico. Desde esta última opción, la siguiente reflexión presentala “pedagogía proyectiva” como propuesta de innovación educativa que se encuentra alimentada por un modelo pedagógico que le da vida, una concepción epistemológica que la sustenta y un amplio y creativo campo de herramientas didácticas y metodológicas que han contribuido en su materialización. Pero, en especial, se muestra cómo la propuesta guarda un profundo sentido formativo por cuanto busca que niños y jóvenes crezcan en un espacio que posibilite el desarrollo de su autonomía, su autenticidad y su libertad.ResumoNa agenda pedagógica atual, na discussão do trabalho por projetos entram conceitos diferentes. Análisis comparativo de la cobertura mediática que brinda El Diario de Hoy, La Prensa Gráfica y Diario Co Latino a los distintos grupos parlamentarios representados en la Asamblea Legislativa y el diputado no partidario durante los meses de septiembre y octubre del año 2019

La investigación evidencia la desigualdad de la cobertura que los medios El Diario de Hoy, La Prensa Gráfica y Diario Co Latino brindan a los diferentes grupos parlamentarios y el diputado no partidario representados en la Asamblea Legislativa, basándonos en la comparación de diferentes categorías de análisis entre las cuales están los temas de agenda, fuentes de información, fotografías, recursos tipográficos, espacios otorgados, igualdad y equidad de género. La investigación fue realizada a partir de un análisis cuantitativo en los meses de septiembre y octubre del año 2019

Assessment of cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities of two components of Cymbopogon citratus essential oil

There is a continuing search for compuounds to improve the chemical plaque inhibitory action of oral hygiene products. Although the antibacterial effects of chlorhexidine (CHX) and essential oils components, citral/myrcene, have been described, there is contradictory information regarding their cytotoxic effects in host tissues. This study aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic activity of the major components of the oil C. citratus, citral and myrcene on human periodontal ligament fibroblast (HPLF) cultures and their antimicrobial effect on different bacterial species present in supragingival biofilm. Cytotoxicity of the compounds to HPLF was determined by MTT assay. Antimicrobial activity was tested against reference strains of Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus rhamnosus and for S. mutans clinical strains by broth microdilution assay. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Games-Howell post-hoc multiple comparison or unpaired t tests were used for inter- and intragroup comparisons. Overall, all of the compounds under study showed a cytotoxic effect to HPLF which varied in a dose-dependant manner. Whilst myrcene did not show bacteriostatic activity at tested concentrations, both citral and CHX exhibited bacteriostatic/bactericidal effects to all strains at specific concentrations, being CHX most effective to inhibit bacterial growth at lower concentrations than what observed for citral. Based on these findings, it would possible to conclude that whereas myrcene might be ineffective to control bacterial growth, citral could have a promising antimicrobial activity against dental colonizers with low cytotoxicity, and may be useful for preventing the onset and progression of oral diseases

Biotechnological Approach for the Production of Prebiotics and Search for New Probiotics and their Application in the Food Industry

Background and objective: Prebiotics and probiotics intake have been widely recognized in past recent years due to possessing multiple health benefits. Prebiotics are non-digestible carbohydrates that promote the growth and/or activity of beneficial bacteria in the colon which improves the health. Moreover, the incorporation of probiotics in food has also been a growing practice due to its immunomodulatory effect, the production of organic acids and other compounds that promotes the absorption of nutrients and the general health of the digestive system.Results and conclusion: Biotechnological strategies have been proposed for prebiotic production and purification in order to meet the demand to be included as ingredients in functional food formulation. Different aspects related to the substrates and different fermentation systems for their production as well as the purification and characterization processes are addressed. Also, we will present the benefits promoted by probiotics, the methods of isolation and characterization, as well as the evaluation of these attributes, so that they can be used in the food industry. With the technological developments in prebiotics and probiotics, it will be possible to deliver foods that respond to consumer demand with low cost and with pleasant sensory characteristics as well as providing beneficial health effects.Conflict of interest: The authors declare no conflict of interest

"Analisis Socio Tecnico del Bicitaxismo en la Localidad de Kennedy, Bogota. Caso Estudio: UPZ 82 (Patio Bonito) y UPZ 83 (Las Margaritas)"

Desde finales de la década del noventa, el bicitaxismo se instauró como un nuevo actor del paisaje urbano y como una alternativa de transporte sostenible para Bogotá. Operando desde la informalidad, este sistema ha suplido las necesidades de transporte de cierto grupo de ciudadanos principalmente en zonas residenciales de diversos sectores de la ciudad, generadas por la ausencia o ineficiencia del sistema de transporte público. Los estudios realizados hasta el momento sobre el bicitaxismo no han permitido comprender, al menos desde el punto de vista de la movilidad, la complejidad de este sistema y sus potencialidades de cara a su inclusión en el Sistema Integrado de Transporte Público. En este orden de ideas, el presente artículo muestra los resultados de afectación a la movilidad en vías secundarias, construidos a partir del estudio de las variables macroscópicas del tránsito, así como una caracterización del origen y el destino de los viajes generados en las Unidades de Planeación Zonal (UPZ) de Patio Bonito y Las Margaritas, en la localidad de Kennedy, Bogotá

La investigación narrativa es considerada un fenómeno el cual ha ido ganando importancia en el espacio del campo de las ciencias humanas y sociales. Se describe como un contexto de características ligadas a la narrativa, las narrativas se caracterizan por ser relatos los cuales nos llevan a situaciones reales de problemáticas sociales las cuales causan impacto en los contextos que rodean al ser humano, los impactos van desde emocionales, psicológicas, sociales entre otras, muchas veces llenas de sensibilidad por parte de sus narradores, desde una perspectiva psicológica nos encaminamos a las alteraciones que se perciben en la persona en todos los niveles , todo esto con el fin de llegar al análisis del comportamiento y determinar factores de alteración y riesgo a su también se busca factores de mejora, prevención, rehabilitación y reintegración, visto desde una mirada crítica junto al respeto por el narrador y la compresión adecuada para realizar la intervenciónNarrative research is considered a phenomenon which has been gaining importance in the field of human and social sciences. La Huerta Escolar Como Estrategia Pedagógica Para Fortalecer El Aprendizaje Significativo En Los Grados Cuarto Y Quinto Del Centro Educativo La Honda De La Vereda La Honda Del Municipio De Timbío(Cauca)

This article is the result of the research carried out within the framework of the Master's Degree in Environmental Pedagogy for Sustainable Development during the years 2020 and 2021 with the aim of implementing school gardens as a didactic instrument for the strengthening of environmental education and meaningful learning in the fourth and fifth grades of the La Honda Educational Center of the La Honda village of the municipality of Timbío (Cauca),  The methodology used in the research was qualitative, socio-critical and the research method was action research in such a way that social reality was analyzed as a contribution to a possible solution and in this case, it was based on the approach of a didactic strategy in which parents Instruments such as semi-structured interviews were used due to the conditions generated by the confinement these were developed through technological platform in its great majority, drawings, participant observation, as a result it was obtained that the gardens are viable for the rescue of the cultural tradition of the community, a curricular proposal was built in which the school garden is a center of interest and the actors of the community were involved in the activities of creation and sustainability of the school gardenEl presente artículo es fruto de la  investigación  que  realizó en el marco de la Maestría en Pedagogía Ambiental para El desarrollo sostenible durante los años 2020 y 2021 con el objetivo de implementar las huertas escolares como instrumento didáctico para el fortalecimiento de la educación ambiental  y el  aprendizaje significativo en los Grados Cuarto Y Quinto Del Centro Educativo La Honda De La Vereda La Honda Del Municipio De Timbío(Cauca), la metodología utilizada en la investigación  fue cualitativa ,de tipo socio crítico y el método investigación  fue investigación acción  de tal forma que se  analizó  la realidad social como contribución a una posible solución y en este caso, radicó en el planteamiento de una estrategia didáctica  en la cual se integró a los padres de familia.  Se utilizaron instrumentos como entrevista semiestructurada debido a las condiciones que genero el confinamiento estas fueron desarrolladas a través de plataforma tecnológicas en su gran mayoría, dibujos, observación participante, como resultado se obtuvo que las huertas son viables para el rescate de la tradición cultural de la comunidad, se construyó una propuesta curricular en la cual la huerta escolar es un centro de interés y se involucró los actores de la comunidad en las actividades de creación y sostenibilidad de la huerta escola

Desempeño económico, implementación de las TIC e innovación en empresas, comparativo entre México y Colombia

In a changing economy and a more educated consumer, innovation is one of the fundamental axes in the growth of MSMEs that leads them to be competitive in the market. The purpose of this research is to analyze the economic performance of companies in Mexico and Colombia in the use of innovation and ICT as tools for their permanence in the market since they are fundamental pillars in the development of the Colombian and Mexican economy.  The type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional and descriptive section, the data collection was carried out through a Google Form questionnaire built from a review of the literature designed from 4 constructs that are organizational performance, economic factor, innovation and use of ICT with a sample for convenience to a total of 30 MSMEs between both countries where it is observed that these companies are aware of the benefits of the implementation of ICT, therefore they are included in most business actions. Identifying that with respect to the comparison of means, the performance is the one with the highest level and the lowest innovation in both countries, in the same way the country has a significant influence on the Use of ICT with significance of 0.012 and does not do so in the elements. of innovation with significance of .335, performance with significance of 0.069 and economic factor the least influential with 0.421.En una economía cambiante y un consumidor más educado, la innovación es uno de los ejes fundamentales en el crecimiento de las MiPymes que las lleva a ser competitivas en el mercado. El objeto de esta investigación es analizar el desempeño económico de las empresas de México y Colombia en el uso de la innovación y de las TIC como herramientas para su permanencia en el mercado, dado que son pilares fundamentales en el desarrollo de la economía colombiana y mexicana. El tipo de investigación es cuantitativa con corte transversal y descriptivo, la recolección de datos se realizó por medio de un cuestionario en Formulario de Google construido a partir de una revisión de la literatura diseñado a partir de 4 constructos que son desempeño organizacional, factor económico, innovación y uso de TIC con una muestra por conveniencia a un total de 30 MiPymes entre ambos países en donde se observa que estas empresas son conscientes de los beneficios que tiene la implementación de las TIC por ello se incluyen en la mayoría de las acciones empresariales. Identificando que respecto a la comparación de medias el desempeño es el que presenta mayor nivel y la innovación menor en ambos países, de la misma forma el país influye de manera significativa en el Uso de TIC con significancia de 0.012 y no lo hace en los elementos de innovación con significancia de .335, desempeño con significancia de 0.069 y factor económico el que menos influye con 0.421
