Educação Sexual em contextos heterogéneos : instituições de acolhimento de crianças e jovens de Braga

Como outros jovens a viverem com as famílias, os que foram institucionalizados sentem-se agradavelmente melhor, quando encontrem quem mostre interesse por si mesmos e pelo que digam, sem os desvalorizarem de antemão por terem ultrapassado o risco sexual e/ou sofrido assédio, abuso, negligência e/ou maus tratos. Na equipa multidisciplinar da Universidade do Minho – Instituto de Educação, realizamos uma investigação-ação, em Braga, em escolas públicas e instituições religiosas de acolhimento, com ações prescritas de cooperação entre instituições (ação 1): (1) analise/interpretação de espírito de missão/finalidades e crenças, valores e ideologias, presentes nos discursos, nos processos de trabalho formativo/educativo e nos projetos socioeducativos e individuais explícitos (ação 2). No Congresso, iremos apresentar dados iniciais e exploratórios das ações 1 e 2, relativos às instituições de menores. A possível eficácia de intervenções planeadas será explorada, ao longo de 3 anos, por análise de congruências, discrepâncias e da sua superação nessas realidades. Serão consumadas orientações e sugestões a aplicar em organismos religiosos e educativos similares da região (ação 12). Defende-se a capacitação bilateral e dialética (formadores/formandos), com recurso a metodologias diversas e complementares, que pretendemos desenvolver um projeto de Educação Sexual não para todos, esperando-se ir ao encontro de modelos viáveis de educação heterogénea para a sexualidade saudável.Just like other young people living with their families those who have been institutionalized, feel much at ease when they find someone who shows interest for themselves and for what they have to say, without an immediate devaluation due to the fact that they have overcome the sexual risk or suffered abuse or negligence. The team from Universidade do Minho - Instituto de Educação decided to investigate in public schools as well as in religious foster institutions. On our investigation action n.º 1 will deal with analysis/interpretation of the spirit, beliefs, values and ideologies present in discourses and educational work, whereas action n.º 2 will deal with explicit socio educational and individual projects. During this congress exploratory data from actions 1 and 2 will be presented concerning foster institutions. The possible effectiveness of planned interventions will be explored over three years, by analysis of congruencies, discrepancies and the overcoming of these realities. It will be applied guidelines and suggestions to be developed in similar educational and religious bodies in the region (action12). It supports the bilateral and dialectical capability (trainers/ trainees), using different and complementary methodologies. We intend to develop a project for Sex Education that is not for everyone, it is expected to reach the education heterogeneous models viable for healthy sexuality

Using storytelling and creative writing for the virtual promotion of arts & culture

O presente relatório de projeto foi elaborado no âmbito do Mestrado em Estudos Interculturais para Negócios do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP) do Politécnico do Porto para obtenção do grau de mestre. O objetivo principal deste relatório prende-se com a descrição e análise das tarefas realizadas num projeto multidisciplinar, que teve origem numa parceria entre a plataforma Google Arts & Culture, o Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP) e o Museu Internacional de Escultura Contemporânea de Santo Tirso (MIEC_ST). As tarefas desenvolvidas neste projeto tiveram como objetivo a criação de textos sobre as esculturas do MIEC_ST, que acompanhariam as suas imagens e videos na segunda história da sua exposição virtual. O conceito de Storytelling esteve na base da criação dos textos que, numa primeira instância, foram elaborados na língua inglesa e posteriormente foram traduzidos para a língua portuguesa envolvendo processos de transcriação e auto-tradução. Foram ainda realizadas análises de algumas amostras de texto selecionadas para o efeito, de uma perspetiva criativa e contrastiva que permitiram identificar as dificuldades encontradas e as soluções escolhidas para conseguir transpô-las ao longo de todo o processo.The present project report was carried out as the final assignment to conclude ISCAP’s Masters in Intercultural Studies for Business (MISB), which is part of the Polytechnic of Porto. This report aims to outline the whole experience in participating in this multidisciplinary project which was the result of a partnership between the Google Arts & Culture platform, Porto Accounting and Business School – Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP) and the International Museum of Contemporary Sculpture of Santo Tirso (MIEC_ST). The participation in this project involved the creation of texts that would accompany the sculptures of MIEC_ST in the second story of its virtual exhibition. Storytelling was in the core of the entire text creation process. Texts were first written in the English language and then went through a process that encompassed Translation, Transcreation and Self-translation to the Portuguese language. Additionally, samples of text were selected in order to perform a contrastive and creative analysis of the texts, which made it possible to identify the difficulties encountered and the solutions found to overcome them throughout this work

Desenvolvimento de nanopartículas contendo α-bisabolol e avaliação das suas potenciais atividades citotóxica e gastroprotetora

O presente trabalho tem como proposta central o desenvolvimento de formulações nanotecnológicas contendo α-bisabolol. Considerando que o -bisabolol é um óleo, ele é proposto como substância a ser encapsulada, constituindo, simultaneamente, em parte ou todo o núcleo oleoso das nanocápsulas em três diferentes concentrações (1, 10 e 16 mg/mL). Adicionalmente, o -bisabolol também é utilizado para a preparação de carreadores lipídicos nanoestruturados, apresentando-se desta forma como componente estrutural, além de constituir a substância carreada em duas concentrações (10 e 16 mg/mL). Determinou-se os perfis de liberação de -bisabolol a partir das formulações nanotecnológicas, analisando as possíveis variações em função da modificação das proporções de -bisabolol e triglicerídeos do ácido cáprico e caprílico (TCM). Foi verificado que uma maior concentração de TCM nas formulações está relacionada a um maior controle de liberação. De acordo com avaliação por calorimetria exploratória diferencial, pode-se sugerir que haja uma interação entre o -bisabolol e o TCM. Após avaliação da permeação cutânea a partir dos dois tipos diferentes carreadores (com concentração de 10 mg/mL de -bisabolol), pode-se observar que as nanocápsulas poliméricas possibilitaram maior acúmulo de -bisabolol na epiderme, enquanto os carreadores lipídicos reteram-no no estrato córneo. Na avaliação da concentração de -bisabolol na derme, os resultados indicaram um maior controle de permeação a partir de ambos nanocarreadores quando comparados à emulsão do óleo. A avaliação do efeito citotóxico e captação celular em células de melanoma evidenciou que as nanocápsulas contendo-bisabolol apresentaram maior efeito citotóxico em comparação ao óleo livre devido a vetorização promovida para o interior celular. Ainda, a nanoencapsulação do -bisabolol acarretou em um aumento da sua atividade gastroprotetora in vivo, para ambas as nanoestruturas, frente a úlceras induzidas por etanol e indometacinaThis work mainly propose the development of nanotechnological based formulations containing α-bisabolol. Considering that α-bisabolol is an oil, it is proposed as a substance to be encapsulated, forming simultaneously the totality or part of nanocapsules oily core in different concentrations (1, 10 and 16 mg/ml). Additionally, α-bisabolol is also proposed for the preparation of nanostructured lipid carriers, thus presenting itself as a structural component and the substance to be carried (10 and 16 mg/ml). The release profiles of α-bisabolol from nanotechnological formulations were studied analyzing the possible variations due to the change in proportions of α-bisabolol and caprylic capric acid triglycerides. It was found that the presence of increased lipid content in the formulations is related to a greater release control. The differential scanning calorimetry evaluation suggested that there is an interaction between the two oils, -bisabolol and caprylic capric acid triglycerides. skin permeation evaluation of the two different carriers (-bisabolol concentration of 10 mg/ml), it was possible to observe that the polymeric nanocapsules allowed greater accumulation of α-bisabolol in the epidermis, while lipid carriers retained the oil in the stratum corneum. In assessing the concentration of α-bisabolol in the dermis, the results indicated greater permeation control from both nanocarriers compared to emulsified oil. The cytotoxic effect and cellular uptake evaluation in melanoma cells showed that nanocapsules containing α-bisabolol presented greater cytotoxic effect than free oil due to nanocapsule vectorization to the cell interior. In addition, nanoencapsulation of α-bisabolol caused an increase in its gastroprotective activity, for both nanostructures, in ethanol and indomethacin-induced ulcers

Função social da cidade: o exame da regularização fundiária no DF como meio de sua efetivação

O presente trabalho busca analisar a regularização fundiária em face dos objetivos que norteiam o instituto, elencados no artigo 10 da Lei nº 13.465 de 2017. Assim, o trabalho buscou verificar, mediante a exemplificação de um caso concreto, se a intervenção governamental para a efetivação da regularização condiz com o compromisso de prestação de serviços públicos, geração de empregos, integração social, efetivação da função social da propriedade, desenvolvimento das funções da cidade e, principalmente, garantia do direito social à moradia digna e às condições de vida adequadas, conforme previsto na referida lei. Para a obtenção de conclusão neste sentido, foram estudados o contexto histórico da regularização fundiária no Brasil, a legislação aplicável, o conceito de função social da propriedade, as funções da cidade e o conceito do direito à moradia digna e adequada. Em sequência, foram levantados alguns dados sobre a situação urbana de Vicente Pires, uma Região Administrativa no Distrito Federal que está em processo de regularização fundiária, bem como as intervenções promovidas pelo poder público para a efetivação do procedimento

An analysis of twitter as a relevant human mobility proxy A comparative approach in spain during the COVID-19 pandemic

During the last years, the analysis of spatio-temporal data extracted from Online Social Networks (OSNs) has become a prominent course of action within the human-mobility mining discipline. Due to the noisy and sparse nature of these data, an important effort has been done on validating these platforms as suitable mobility proxies. However, such a validation has been usually based on the computation of certain features from the raw spatio-temporal trajectories extracted from OSN documents. Hence, there is a scarcity of validation studies that evaluate whether geo-tagged OSN data are able to measure the evolution of the mobility in a region at multiple spatial scales. For that reason, this work proposes a comprehensive comparison of a nation-scale Twitter (TWT) dataset and an official mobility survey from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics. The target time period covers a three-month interval during which Spain was heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Both feeds have been compared in this context by considering different mobility-related features and spatial scales. The results show that TWT could capture only a limited number features of the latent mobility behaviour of Spain during the study period

Product design for the health sector: usability issues in embedding tracing technologies in surgical instruments

Surgical instruments are a major asset and a significant share of the total capital spending of a hospital. It is therefore important to track the product inside the health provider’s facilities and when it temporarily leaves them. One of the technologies available to face this problem is RFID. Nevertheless, there are many challenges in incorporating an RFID tag in surgical instruments. Aside from technical issues, it is vital to ensure that the tag placement does not hamper the performance of the health professional using the instrument. Therefore, the aim of this work is to develop a polymer-based product that features an embedded RFID, and which can be physically coupled to surgical instruments, while simultaneously ensuring the user requirements listed. For this purpose, usability test have been conducted with surgeons using different physical mock-ups, and the results have been benchmarked as input for concept selection among different solutions. In this paper we describe the methodological process employed, from initial design through physical mock-ups tests, in a context of rapid development. The same methodology can be replicated for the development of other products for the healthcare sector, where technical requirements and specifications are very strict and where adoption of new technology is highly dependent on the opinion of healthcare professionals

Os elementos pertencentes ? cultura de um lugar s?o, na atualidade, meramente lembrados como uma tradi??o, tendo tend?ncia a ser esquecidos. Refletindo sobre esta problem?tica, surgiu a ideia de realiza??o desta investiga??o, com o prop?sito de acrescentar valor aos produtos de ilumina??o, conferindo-lhes n?o s? uma dimens?o cultural, mas tamb?m o potencial para despertar alguma significa??o emocional e sentimental. Para real?ar esta vertente nas lumin?rias, acrescentou-se aos produtos uma dimens?o personaliz?vel, de forma a que o utilizador possa interagir, criando conex?es com o mesmo. De uma maneira ou outra, esta componente vai depender de linha para linha dos objetos de ilumina??o desenvolvidos no projeto. Esta disserta??o encontra-se dividida em duas partes. A primeira parte corresponde ao cap?tulo que trata o tema do traje, come?ando por abord?-lo de forma gen?rica, passando posteriormente ao traje popular da P?voa de Varzim para, por ?ltimo e de forma mais pormenorizada, analisar o traje da Tricana Poveira. Nesta parte, em cap?tulos pr?prios, tamb?m ? abordado o tema da luz, explorando assuntos como a sua rela??o com o Homem, a hist?ria da ilumina??o, a luz na arquitetura e no espa?o e tipologias de lumin?rias, assim como o tema do genius loci no design de lumin?rias. Na segunda parte apresenta-se o cap?tulo do desenvolvimento do projeto, onde s?o apresentadas as tr?s linhas desenvolvidas.This dissertation has the purpose to develop three luminaire series with the capacity to cross the spirit of a place and respective culture and tradition ? Tricana Poveira Costume ? with design, creating, that way, products that can awake an experience of usability at an emotional and perceptive level by its possible users. It?s important to preserve and appreciate something that once had an important role to the society, but, in the course of time and with the society?s evolution, began to lose its strength and, consequently, fell into disuse. The elements belonging to the culture of a place are, nowadays, merely remembered as a tradition, and the tendency is to being forgotten. Thinking about this problematic, the idea of conducting this research appeared, with the purpose of adding value to illumination products, giving them not only a cultural dimension, but also the potential to arouse some emotional and sentimental significance. To highlight this aspect in the luminaires, a customizable dimension has been added to the products so that the user can interact, creating connections with it. In a way or another, this component will depend on series to series of the lighting objects developed in the project. This dissertation is organized in two parts. The first part corresponds to the chapter about the traditional costume, starting by talking about the costumes in general, then going to the costumes of P?voa de Varzim and to the Tricana Poveira costume, which is treated in more detail. In this part, in its own chapters, the theme of light is also explored, exploring subjects such as its relationship with man, the history of illumination, the light in architecture and space and typologies of luminaires, as well as the theme of genius loci in luminaire design.
