In three groups of apparently healthy subjects – vegetarians (plant food, dairy products, eggs), semi-vegetarians (as vegetarians with addition of white meat consumption) and non-vegetarians (control group on traditional mixed diet) were analyzed the dietary questionnaires of consumption frequency  and measured the values of lipid profile, insulin resistance, homocysteine with determinants (vitamins B6, B9, B12) and plasma antioxidative vitamins (C,E, beta-carotene). Vegetarians and semi-vegetarians consumed the significantly reduced amount of cholesterol, saturated fatty acids, methionine, lysine, vitamin B12 and on the other hand, they have the significantly higher daily intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids, linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, fiber, plant proteins, arginine, glycine, serine, alanine, folic acid (vitamin B9), vitamin B6, vitamins C,E and beta-carotene. Alternative nutrition groups vs. non-vegetarians have the significantly reduced concentrations of total and LDL-cholesterol, triacylglycerols, insulin as well as values of atherogenic index and insulin resistance. The vegetarian (but not semi-vegetarian) value of homocysteine is significantly increased as a consequence of the significantly reduced and low concentration of vitamin B12. Other two determinants of homocysteine degradation were significantly increased in serum of alternative nutrition groups. The both vegetarian groups have the significantly higher plasma concentrations of antioxidative vitamins and these values are in range of effective free radical disease reduction. The results  of favourable values of cardiovascular risk markers and antioxidants document a beneficial effect of vegetarian nutrition in prevention of degenerative age-related diseases

Quality of Word Vectors and Its Impact on Named Entity Recognition in Czech

    Get PDF
Named Entity Recognition (NER) focuses on finding named entities in text and classifying them into one of the entity types. Modern state-of-the-art NER approaches avoid using hand-crafted features and rely on feature-inferring neural network systems based on word embeddings. The paper analyzes the impact of different aspects related to word embeddings on the process and results of the named entity recognition task in Czech, which has not been investigated so far. Various aspects of word vectors preparation were experimentally examined to draw useful conclusions. The suitable settings in different steps were determined, including the used corpus, number of word vectors dimensions, used text preprocessing techniques, context window size, number of training epochs, and word vectors inferring algorithms and their specific parameters. The paper demonstrates that focusing on the process of word vectors preparation can bring a significant improvement for NER in Czech even without using additional language independent and dependent resources.O

The subject of this work is comparing economic return and influence on environment by earth-sheltered house and classic house. Attention will be concentrated on construction process these houses from the beginning to approval of construction, the advantages and disadvantages resulting from the construction, which will be compared with neighboring states, especially with Germany and Austria. The work first briefly describes earth-sheltered houses, their history and use renewable energy sources, then focuses on comparing the two types of houses. The main objective of this work is to confirm the hypothesis about the benefits of building earth-sheltered houses, despite high initial costs and increased interest in population of these houses in recent years. To calculate the repayment time will be apply cost -- benefit analysis and questionnaire survey. At the conclusion work summarizes the results obtained and confirm of reject the hypothesis examined

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of work performance management in a selected company. The theoretical part first discusses the meaning and activities of human resources management and deals with the work management system as the main topic of the bachelor's thesis. The practical part presents the selected enterprise based on the method of observation and guided interview it analyzes its current state of work management. The result of the work are suggestions and recommendations that should contribute to improving the current situation in the company.

Katedra pedagogikyObhájenoThis bachelor thesis deals with a current topic of our time ? ?domestic violence."
