The Importance of Myth for Modern Man

Práce popisuje několik základních pohledů na mýtus a uvádí různé typy jeho interpretace. Pokouší se určitým způsobem vydefinovat modernitu, moderní společnost a moderního člověka jako součást této společnosti. Na příkladu historického mýtu a jeho konkrétním příkladu, kosmogonickém mýtu, se snaží ukázat souvislost mezi pojetím stvoření v různých mytologiích, v nichž figuruje téma vody a vznik světa z vodstva. Hodnotí význam tohoto mýtu pro moderního člověka. Na příkladu nehistorického mýtu, který byl pro potřeby této práce vydefinován a označen jako "mýtus Člověka" se práce snaží doložit, že moderní člověk potřebuje mýtus stejně jako člověk archaických společností. Na porovnání historického a nehistorického mýtu ukazuje, že se stále jedná o mýtus jako takový, který se liší pouze formou. Na tyto konkrétní příklady navazuje obecné zhodnocení významu mýtu pro moderního člověka. Práce tento význam hodnotí jako velmi důležitý a mýtus považuje za nedílnou součást lidského způsobu uvažování o světě a existenci člověka v tomto světě. It describes several essential views on myth and indicates different types of myth and its interpretation. It tries to define modernity, modern society and modern man as a part of this society. There is a concrete example of historical myth: cosmogonic myth. It demonstrates context with conception of creation in general in different mythologies which work with theme of water and world formation from waters. This study evaluates importance of this myth for modern man. Example of unhistoric myth was defined and termed as "myth of Man". It tries to document, modern man needs myth as much as man of archaic society. Comparing of historical and unhistorical myth displays, that it is still a myth on principle, which has only different form. This work continues with general valuation of importance of myth for modern man. Study evaluates this importance as very serious and interprets myth as an integral part of human way of thinking about world and human being in this world. Apartment building

Předmětem projektu je novostavba bytového domu v katastrálním území města Brna, městská část Líšeň. Stavební pozemek je obdélníkového tvaru, vstup a vjezd na pozemek je situován z místní živičné komunikace. Dům je určen pro trvalé bydlení 17 osob ve 4 bytech a jedné garsoniéře. Součástí objektu jsou společné prostory pro zajištění služeb pro obyvatele domu. Mezi nabízené patří společná prádelna, dílna a parkovací místo pro každou bytovou jednotku. Objekt se má čtyři podlaží (1.PP, 1. NP, 2. NP ä 3.NP). V suterénu jsou situovány provozní místnosti jako garáž s parkovacími místy, prádelna, dílna a sklepní koje. V 1.,2. a 3. NP jsou situovány byty a technické místnosti. Architektonický návrh domu je koncipován tak, aby bylo využito přavážně tradičních přírodních materiálů (cihelné prvky, kámen, dřevo, kov) v jejich přirozeném barevném provedení. Projekt dále řeší způsob přirozeného osvětlení děním světlem v centrálních prostorách objektu za pomocí světlovodů.The object of the project is a new apartment building in the cadastral area of the city of Brno, the city district of Líšeň. The building plot is of rectangular shape, the entrance to the plot is situated from the local bituminous road. The house is intended for permanent living of 17 persons in 4 apartments and one studio apartment. Part of the building is common areas for providing services to the residents of the house. The services provided a common laundry room, a workshop and a parking space for each apartment unit. The building has four floors (1st floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor). In the basement there are operating rooms such as a garage with parking spaces, a laundry room, a workroom and a cellar. The architectural design of the house is conceived so that traditional natural materials (brick, stone, wood, metal) can be used in their natural color design. The project further solves the natural light in the central rooms of the building with the aid of light pipes.

Článek stojí na pomezí didaktické aplikace a metodologické reflexe užití orální historie ve výuce československých dějin pro období let 1968-1989. Na úvod formuluje autor své stanovisko k významu paměti v systému výuky dějepisu na českých školách. Následuje charakteristika projektu Velké a malé příběhy moderních dějin, zajišťovaného Ústavem pro studium totalitních režimů v Praze, zaměřená na metodická východiska a strukturu dosud realizovaných tří ročníků projektu. V závěrečné části se autor zamýšlí nad možnou analýzou a interpretací materiálu, přičemž se věnuje zejména problematice vztahu rodinné a kulturní paměti.The article stands on the edge of educational applications and methodological reflection of the use of oral history in teaching Czechoslovak history for the period 1968-1989. In the introduction, the author formulates his opinion about the importance of memory in history teaching in Czech schools. There follows the description of the project Large and small stories of modern history, provided by the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes in Prague, focused on the methodological basis and structure of the three years of the project completed so far. In the final part the author considers the possible analysis and interpretation of the materials and focuses especially on family relations and cultural memory

The PhD thesis is dealing with solving, an optimization model of investment decision-making in furniture production. There are treated possibilities of financing investment projects when purchasing new technologies for furniture companies. The thesis follows possible ways how to find funds from the sale of the morally obsolete technology and use them as one part in ensuring the necessary fund for the investment. The thesis discusses the effect of machine hours as well as moral obsolence of machinery and equiptment on there price at a subsequent sale. A practical example demonstrates financing options depending on varions possibilities of the company to include a part of the depreciation of tangible fixed assets into the financing
