Regge behaviour and Regge trajectory for ladder graphs in scalar Φ3\Phi^3 field theory

Using the gaussian representation for propagators (which can be proved to be exact in the infinite number of loops limit) we are able to derive the Regge behaviour for ladder graphs of $\phi^3$ field theory in a completely new way. An analytic expression for the Regge trajectory $\alpha (t/m^2)$ is found in terms of the mean-values of the Feynman $\alpha$-parameters. $\alpha (t/m^2)$ is calculated in the range $- 3.6 < t/m^2 < 0.8$. The intercept $\alpha (0)$ agrees with that obtained from earlier calculations using the Bethe-Salpeter approach for \alpha (0) \gsim 0.3.Comment: 10 PlainTex pages, 2 PostScript Figures include

Neutrophil Dynamics Affect Mycobacterium tuberculosis Granuloma Outcomes and Dissemination

Neutrophil infiltration into tuberculous granulomas is often associated with higher bacteria loads and severe disease but the basis for this relationship is not well understood. To better elucidate the connection between neutrophils and pathology in primate systems, we paired data from experimental studies with our next generation computational model GranSim to identify neutrophil-related factors, including neutrophil recruitment, lifespan, and intracellular bacteria numbers, that drive granuloma-level outcomes. We predict mechanisms underlying spatial organization of neutrophils within granulomas and identify how neutrophils contribute to granuloma dissemination. We also performed virtual deletion and depletion of neutrophils within granulomas and found that neutrophils play a nuanced role in determining granuloma outcome, promoting uncontrolled bacterial growth in some and working to contain bacterial growth in others. Here, we present three key results: We show that neutrophils can facilitate local dissemination of granulomas and thereby enable the spread of infection. We suggest that neutrophils influence CFU burden during both innate and adaptive immune responses, implying that they may be targets for therapeutic interventions during later stages of infection. Política industrial para o setor automobilístico entre 2000 e 2015

This study aims to analyze the impact of theIndustrial Policy on the performance of theBrazilian automotive industry. Given theimportance of this activity for the nationaleconomy, it has been verified that since the 1950sthe sector has benefited from governmental actsto encourage activity. In this context, this paperdescribed the introduction of that industry in thenational economics environmental, its historical evolution, the main industrial policies developedduring the analyzed period, as well as their impacton the growth and economic development ofthis industry. The methodology used to carryout this study is the descriptive, exploratory andqualitative research that allowed the analysis ofthe main performance indicators of the national automobile industry. A statistical tooling was alsoused to perform the correlation test between themain variables of the sector. Finally, it was verifiedthat the employment of the industrial policies inthe analyzed period had short-term effects in thatindustry, with growth peaks followed by gradualdecreases in the supply and demand of vehicles in Brazil.Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar o impacto da Política Industrial no desempenho do setor automobilístico brasileiro. Dada a importância desta atividade para a economia nacional, constatou-se que desde a década de 1950 o setor é beneficiado por medidas governamentais de incentivo às suas atividades. Neste contexto, foi descrita a trajetória de implantação do setor em âmbito nacional, a sua evolução histórica, as principais políticas industriais desenvolvidas no período analisado, bem como os impactos destas no crescimento e desenvolvimento econômico deste ramo de atividade. A metodologia utilizada para a realização deste estudo é a pesquisa descritiva, exploratória e qualitativa, que permitiu analisar os principais indicadores de desempenho da indústria automobilística nacional. Também foi utilizado o ferramental estatístico para a realização do teste de correlação entre as principais variáveis do setor. Por fim, constatou-se que o emprego das políticas industriais no período analisado apresentou efeitos de curto prazo no setor, com picos de crescimento, seguido de quedas graduais na oferta e demanda de veículos no Brasil

Políticas identitarias de los cánones literarios argentino-brasileño: ¿una forma de exclusión cultural?

Luego de dos años de investigación, y con un subsidio del programa Redes Internacionales VII de la Secretaría de Políticas Universitarias del Ministerio de Educación de Argentina, hemos logrado un enriquecimiento de los estudios literarios sobre el canon, a través de la pesquisa y discusión del a temática propuesta entre los tres grupos de investigación participantes. Asimismo, se ha conseguido difundir y capitalizar en la tarea docente los resultados de la investigación, a través de seminarios de posgrado en Argentina y Brasil. Y finalmente, a través de la publicación de un libro conjunto, Nuevas lecturas sobre marginalidad, canon y poder en el discurso literario (BuenosAires: Ediciones Universidad del Salvador, 2015), y de la participación de los investigadores en reuniones científicas, se ha conseguido una eficaz difusión de los resultados obtenidos. En el curso de la investigación, se han descubierto varios derroteros que podrán identificarse y transitarse a través de los distintos abordajes que componen este volumen, pero principalmente se destacan: cómo el relieve de algunas temáticas, la visibilización de zonas fronterizas, espaciales y lingüísticas, y la emergencia o reelaboración de ciertas estéticas y enfoques han determinado que los autores o sus obras hayan sido confinados a posiciones de marginalidad. Desde luego, la tarea conjunta realizada ha significado la puesta en marcha de muchos mecanismos (administrativos y académicos) que han consolidado, además, las relaciones entre las tres instituciones participantes: la Universidad del Salvador (USAL), la Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLa) y la Universidad Estadual Paulista de Sâo Paulo (UNESP).After a two years’ research, subsidized by “Redes Internacionales VII” Program from the Ministry of Education’s Secretary of University Policies, our literary studies of the canon has been improved by means of investigation and discussion of the proposed topics that the three research groups involved have taken part of. Additionally, we succeeded in spreading the research’s outcome in postgraduate seminaries in Argentina and Brazil, which let us capitalize our findings in our teaching practice. In the course of the investigation, it has been discovered several directions that can be identified and transited through the different approaches in this volume, but mainly include: how the relief of some issues, the visibility of border, spatial and linguistic areas, and emergency or reprocessing of certain aesthetic and approaches, have determined that the authors or their works have been confined to marginal positions. Needless to say, the joint task has set in motion many administrative and academic mechanisms that have been strengthened since then, as well as the relationship between the three participating institutions: Universidad del Salvador (USAL), Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLa), and Universidad Estadual Paulista do Sâo Paulo (UNESP)

Implementing systems medicine within healthcare
