Abstract: The objective of this study was evaluate sunflower genotypes productive performance in Espírito Santo do Pinhal/SP. Therewere tested seven new (BRS G34, BRS G35, SYN 3840, SYN 4065, Multissol, V90013 and V90631) and three commercial (EMBRAPA 122 (T), HELIO 358 (T), M734 (T)) genotypes of sunflower in a randomized block design, with four replications. Each plot consisted of four rows 6.0 m long, spaced from 0.75 m and 0.3 m each plant, which was evaluated just 8,1 m as useful. There was evaluated: a) plant height (cm), b) flowering date (days); c) final plant stand (nº m 2); d) diameter of heads (cm) ; e) production (kg ha ), which was analyzed by variance test and Scott-Knott mean test (P < 0.05). The V90631 and V90013 genotype was the highest than all. Genotypes with medium maturity (BRSG34, V90013, V90631 e M734) were the most productive than early and late maturity genotypes tested. It concludes that sunflower genotypes? with medium maturity have better productive performance than others in the water season and is recommended to be used in Espírito Santo do Pinhal-SP

An SFC-enabled approach for processing SSL/TLS encrypted traffic in future enterprise networks

In this paper, we propose an architecture based on NFV and SDN which allows to balance traffic analysis techniques using a Classifier. It steers flows to the appropriate Service Function Chaining (to open traffic or not) according to network requirements (such as, effectiveness, flexibility, scalability, performance, and privacy). The SSL/TLS traffic processing is carried-out by the centerpiece of this work, the SFC-enabled MITM. A Proof-of-Concept was conducted (focusing on our SFC-enabled MITM) which showed that functionalities lost due to encryption (Content Optimization, Caching, Network Anti-virus, and Content Filter) were recovered when processing opened traffic within its Service Function Chains. We also evaluated its impact on performance. The results show that cipher suite overhead plays a role but can be mitigated, the Classifier can alleviate the performance overhead of different traffic analysis techniques, network functions have lower impact to performance, and Service Function Chaining length influences page load time.publishe

Orchestrating an SFC-enabled SSL/TLS traffic processing architecture using MANO

The heterogeneity of 5G requirements commands more complex network architectures, imposing the need for network orchestration. ETSI NFV MANO is the standard which defines a common framework for vendors and operators to integrate their orchestration efforts. In this paper, we evaluated how an ETSI NFV MANO compliant orchestrator (OSM) fares while orchestrating an SFC-enabled SSL/TLS encrypted traffic processing architecture, which supports both edge and cloud deployments. A quantitative evaluation was carried-out, which assessed the responsiveness and overheads of OSM, as well as the actual functionality of our SSL/TLS processing architecture (with edge computing components). A qualitative evaluation was also carried-out, providing insight into the maturity of the current OSM release, what works well, what requires workarounds, and the actual limitations. A demonstration of the architecture evaluated in this work was accepted as a contribution to the ETSI OSM PoC Framework.publishe

Genotype by environment interaction in common bean cultivars for iron and zinc concentration in grains.

Iron and zinc deficiencies in humans can cause serious health problems. Increasing the iron (IC) and zinc (ZC) concentrations in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grains using genetic breeding can be an effective strategy to prevent these problems. Thus, the aims of this study were i) to investigate the importance of genetic, environmental, and genotype-by-environment interaction effects on IC and ZC in common bean grains; ii) to select cultivars that have high mean values and phenotypic stability for IC and ZC, as well as high protein concentration (PC), high yield, and standard commercial grain quality; and iii) to investigate whether there is a genetic relationship between these traits. A total of 34 cultivars were evaluated in 19 different environments. Genetic variability was observed among the genotypes for all traits. For IC and ZC, the environmental effect represented most of the total variation (63% and 65%, respectively), and the effect of the G × E interaction was 18% for IC and 15% for ZC. The genetic correlations between IC, ZC, and PC were positive, indicating that the selection of one of these traits resulted in gains for the other. The genetic correlations between IC or ZC with yield or 100-grain weight were low or intermediate, but negative, indicating that it is important to evaluate these traits at all stages of breeding programs that focus on developing cultivars with high IC and ZC. The cultivar BRS Sublime, with the carioca grain type, combined high IC, ZC, and PC, high yield, and grains of commercial size

Semiclassical Approximations in Phase Space with Coherent States

We present a complete derivation of the semiclassical limit of the coherent state propagator in one dimension, starting from path integrals in phase space. We show that the arbitrariness in the path integral representation, which follows from the overcompleteness of the coherent states, results in many different semiclassical limits. We explicitly derive two possible semiclassical formulae for the propagator, we suggest a third one, and we discuss their relationships. We also derive an initial value representation for the semiclassical propagator, based on an initial gaussian wavepacket. It turns out to be related to, but different from, Heller's thawed gaussian approximation. It is very different from the Herman--Kluk formula, which is not a correct semiclassical limit. We point out errors in two derivations of the latter. Finally we show how the semiclassical coherent state propagators lead to WKB-type quantization rules and to approximations for the Husimi distributions of stationary states.Comment: 80 pages, 4 figure
