Sol–Gel Fabrication and Luminescence Properties of Multilayer Eu-Doped BaTiO3–SiO2 Xerogel Nanostructures

    Get PDF
With the use of sol–gel method BaTiO3–SiO2 multilayer structures were fabricated on glass or fused silica substrates employing dipping or spinning procedure. The photonic stop band was observed in the reflection and transmission spectra of the multilayer structure annealed at 450∘C. It is redshifted with an increase of the thicknesses of BaTiO3 and SiO2 layers. For structures comprising Eu-doped BaTiO3 layers of different thicknesses photoluminescence with the main band at 614nm was detected. It is characterized with the double-exponential decay with the lifetimes of about 0.5ms and 1.1ms which do not depend significantly on the photonic stop band position

Micro Raman investigation of graphene synthesized by atmospheric pressure CVD on copper foil from decane

In this article we present the results of micro-Raman studies of graphene grown on copper foil surface by atmospheric pressure CVD using decane as precursor, nitrogen as carrier gas with zero flow of hydrogen. Analysis of Raman spectroscopy data showed that film contains spots with single layer thick graphene. We observed significant blue shift of 2D and G bands positions for mono-atomically thick graphene on copper foil. Following literature we relate this shift to the strain induced by the presence of copper substrate. Moreover, we observed changes in the defectiveness of graphene layers after the transfer, which was related to the appearance of chemically-induced defects and defects induced by changes in the mechanical strain

    Measurements of π±\pi ^\pm , K±K^\pm , p and pˉ\bar{p} spectra in 7^7Be+9^9Be collisions at beam momenta from 19A to 150A GeV ⁣/ ⁣c{\mathrm{Ge} \mathrm{V}}\!/\!c with the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS

The NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) studies the onset of deconfinement in hadron matter by a scan of particle production in collisions of nuclei with various sizes at a set of energies covering the SPS energy range. This paper presents results on inclusive double-differential spectra, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions and mean multiplicities of π ± π± , K ± K± , p and p ¯ p¯ produced in the 20% most central 7 7 Be+ 9 9 Be collisions at beam momenta of 19A, 30A, 40A, 75A and 150A GeV/c GeV/c . The energy dependence of the K ± K± /π ± π± ratios as well as of inverse slope parameters of the K ± K± transverse mass distributions are close to those found in inelastic p+p reactions. The new results are compared to the world data on p+p and Pb+Pb collisions as well as to predictions of the Epos, Urqmd, Ampt, Phsd and Smash models

    Hidden strangeness shines in NA61/SHINE

    Get PDF
Preliminary results on the ϕ (1020) meson production in inelastic proton-proton collisions measured by the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN SPS are presented in these proceedings. The results include the first ever differential pT and y measurements at beam momenta of 40 and 80 GeV and the most ever detailed experimental data at 158GeV. The comparison of p + p to Pb + Pb results shows a non-trivial system size dependence of the widths of the rapidity distributions for ϕ mesons, contrasting with that of other hadrons. The results are furthermore compared to the world data on ϕ meson production, demonstrating the better accuracy achieved by the NA61/SHINE experiment, and to several models. None of the models is found to be able to describe simultaneously the shape of transverse momentum spectra, the shape of rapidity distribution and the total yield

NA61/SHINE measurements of anisotropic flow relative to the spectator plane in Pb+Pb collisions at 30A GeV/c

    Get PDF
We present an analysis of the anisotropic flow harmonics in Pb+Pb collisions at beam momenta of 30A GeV/c collected by the NA61/SHINE experiment in the year 2016. Directed and elliptic flow coefficients are measured relative to the spectator plane estimated with the Projectile Spectators Detector (PSD). The flow coefficients are reported as a function of transverse momentum in different classes of collision centrality. The results are compared with a new analysis of the NA49 data for Pb+Pb collisions at 40A GeV using forward calorimeters (VCal and RCal) for event plane estimation
