Experiences of lifestyle change among women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM): A behavioural diagnosis using the COM-B model in a low-income setting
Lifestyle change can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes among women with prior
gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). While understanding womenâs lived experiences and
views around GDM is critical to the development of behaviour change interventions to
reduce this risk, few studies have addressed this issue in low- and middle- income countries.
The aim of the study was to explore womenâs lived experiences of GDM and the feasibility of
sustained lifestyle modification after GDM in a low-income setting

Metabolism is the process occurring in the cells in order to get energy and remove waste products. Understanding of metabolism is the basis of improving metabolic health and prevention of metabolic health problems and its associated complications. Metabolism includes catabolism and anabolism.</p
Impacts of sugar and trans fat overconsumptions on development of polycystic ovary syndrome and female fertility
Achievement of fertility is the expectation and desire of women in reproductive age. However, many women face sub-infertility or infertility. Overconsumption of foods and drinks containing sugar and trans fat are observed to be associated with female infertility. Sugar is commonly added in many sweetened drinks and desserts. Trans fat is ingredients of bakery and processed foods. Overconsumption of sugar and trans fat leading to obesity, metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance are known to be risk factors for developing of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and fertility problems among women [1].</p
