The optimal form of the scanning near-field optical microscopy probe
A theoretical approach to determine the optimal form of the near-field
optical microscope probe is proposed. An analytical expression of the optimal
probe form with subwavelength aperture has been obtained. The advantages of the
probe with the optimal form are illustrated using numerical calculations. The
conducted calculations show 10 times greater light throughput and the reception
possibility of the more compactly localized light at the output probe aperture
which could indicate better spatial resolution of the optical images in
near-field optical technique using optimal probe.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
Quantum memory for non-stationary light fields based on controlled reversible inhomogeneous broadening
We propose a new method for efficient storage and recall of non-stationary
light fields, e.g. single photon time-bin qubits, in optically dense atomic
ensembles. Our approach to quantum memory is based on controlled, reversible,
inhomogeneous broadening. We briefly discuss experimental realizations of our
proposal.Comment: 4 page
New Methods of Three-Dimensional Images Recognition Based on Stochastic Geometry and Functional Analysis
A new approach to 3D objects recognition based on modern methods of stochastic geometry and functional analysis is proposed in the paper. A detailed mathematical description of the method developed on the approach is also presented. The 3D trace transform allows creating an invariant description of spatial objects, which better resist distortion and coordinate noise than the one, obtained as a result of the object normalization procedure, does. The ability to control properties of developed features increases intellectual capacities of the 3D trace transform significantly, which can be mentioned as its undeniable advantage. The justification of the proposed theory and mathematical model is a variety of worked out theoretical examples of hypertriplet features that have particular described properties. The paper considers in detail scan techniques of the hypertrace transform and its mathematical model as well as approaches to developing and distinguishing informative features
Use of Physicochemical Method for Evaluation of Mucilage Producing Ability of the Linum Usitatissimum L. Seeds
Abstract In the modern medicine of many European countries flax is used as a medicament with a wide range of use. Wholesome effect of flax seeds is determined by the large amount of enveloping substances. This property is connected with content of mucilage up to 10% and glycoside linamarin. Flaxseed polysaccharides also possess antiinflammatory effect. Furthermore, mucilage production can be a chemosystematic characteric of intraspecific taxons. In literature intervarietal variability data is limited. Therefore, comparative evaluation of mucilage producing ability of flax seeds with different morphotypes is of interest. The research of micromorphological characteristics of seed coat and mucilage production dynamics was carried out and it was established that mucilage-producing cells are localized predominantly in the external layer of seed coat. It was established that Bahmalskiy, Nebesnyj, Kustanayskiy yantar varieties possess the highest level of mucilage production. Morphotype and varietal specificity of mucilage production are determined, consequently it can be used as a marker feature of L. usitatissimum new forms. The proposed technique is based on the determination of seed physicochemical characteristics and can be used for express analysis of the vegetal samples and their differentiation by the directions of use: as a fatty oil or mucilage-containing raw material.

Advection of a passive scalar field by turbulent compressible fluid: renormalization group analysis near
The field theoretic renormalization group (RG) and the operator product
expansion (OPE) are applied to the model of a density field advected by a
random turbulent velocity field. The latter is governed by the stochastic
Navier-Stokes equation for a compressible fluid. The model is considered near
the special space dimension . It is shown that various correlation
functions of the scalar field exhibit anomalous scaling behaviour in the
inertial-convective range. The scaling properties in the RG+OPE approach are
related to fixed points of the renormalization group equations. In comparison
with physically interesting case , at additional Green function
has divergences which affect the existence and stability of fixed points. From
calculations it follows that a new regime arises there and then by continuity
moves into . The corresponding anomalous exponents are identified with
scaling dimensions of certain composite fields and can be systematically
calculated as series in (the exponent, connected with random force) and
. All calculations are performed in the leading one-loop
approximation.Comment: 11pages, 6 figures, LATEX2e. arXiv admin note: substantial text

Estimation and forecast of regional competitiveness level
The paper is devoted to the development of methods for point and interval forecasting of the integral index of regional competitiveness. We stick to one of the most commonly used approaches to assessing the level of competitiveness based on its advantages over the others. As a result of this approach, the integral competitiveness index appears to be bounded, i.e. has a lower and upper limit. Due to this particular feature, it is proposed to carry out the forecasting of competitiveness index using multivariate logistic regression. The parameters of such model are determined using OLS through an inverse logarithmic transformation of the dependent variable. To calculate interval forecasts for the model, we proposed a new probability distribution for the errors of the nonlinear regression equation in the class of logistic curves. According to the proposed method, we calculated and forecasted the regional competitiveness level for the Russian Federation until 2020. The analysis of the data revealed some features of the regions distribution in terms of competitiveness level and indicated regional development trends. The paper has been prepared within the research project No 1675: "Methodological and analytical tools for solving problems of spatial development of Russian economy under conditions of modern reforms" in terms of the basic part of the state order in the field of scientific activity of Russian Ministry of Education. © Copyright 2005-2016 Institute of Economics, the Ural branch of the RAS. A Region of Violent Star Formation in the Irr Galaxy IC 10: Structure and Kinematics of Ionized and Neutral Gas
We have used observations of the galaxy IC 10 at the 6-m telescope of the
Special Astrophysical Observatory with the SCORPIO focal reducer in the
Fabry-Perot interferometer mode and with the MPFS spectrograph to study the
structure and kinematics of ionized gas in the central region of current
intense star formation. Archive VLA 21-cm observations are used to analyze the
structure and kinematics of neutral gas in this region. High-velocity wings of
the H-alpha and [SII] emission lines were revealed in the inner cavity of the
nebula HL 111 and in other parts of the complex of violent star formation. We
have discovered local expanding neutral-gas shells around the nebulae HL 111
and HL 106.Comment: 22 pages, 10 figures; accepted in Astronomy Report
Search for Cosmic-Ray Antideuterons
We performed a search for cosmic-ray antideuterons using data collected
during four BESS balloon flights from 1997 to 2000. No candidate was found. We
derived, for the first time, an upper limit of 1.9E-4 (m^2 s sr
GeV/nucleon)^(-1) for the differential flux of cosmic-ray antideuterons, at the
95% confidence level, between 0.17 and 1.15 GeV/nucleon at the top of the
atmosphere.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Measurements of Proton, Helium and Muon Spectra at Small Atmospheric Depths with the BESS Spectrometer
The cosmic-ray proton, helium, and muon spectra at small atmospheric depths
of 4.5 -- 28 g/cm^2 were precisely measured during the slow descending period
of the BESS-2001 balloon flight. The variation of atmospheric secondary
particle fluxes as a function of atmospheric depth provides fundamental
information to study hadronic interactions of the primary cosmic rays with the
atmosphere.Comment: 21 pages, 11 figures, 4 table
