Nonlinear structures of strongly coupled complex plasmas in the proximity of a presheath/sheath edge

    Get PDF
The formation of a steady-state nonlinear potential structure of a double-layer type near the presheath/sheath edge of a plasma discharge is theoretically investigated in complex plasmas containing Boltzmann electrons, cold fluid ions and strongly coupled microparticles. Equilibrium of the particles is provided by the electrostatic force and an effective 'dust pressure' associated with electrostatic interactions between the highly charged grains. The results are of importance for complex plasma experiments in microgravity conditions, for thermophoretically levitated configurations and for processing plasmas loaded by nanometer-sized microparticles

THE IMPACT OF DIGITALIZATION ON LABOR RELATIONS IN UKRAINE

    Get PDF
Increasing the power of computer technology, combined with the rapid spread of the Internet, large databases, etc., significantly changes the nature of work. Innovation in the labor process boosts productiveness and decreases costs. By increasing overall productivity, innovations in ICT allow enterprises, institutions, and organizations to produce a certain number of goods and services resorting to fewer employees, which leads to the technological lack of jobs. To carry out a rigorous analysis of this issue, obtain trustworthy results, and draw relevant conclusions, the authors applied general and special research methods. It has been found that the processes of digitalization affect the labor market, in particular, the emergence of new and the disappearance of «old» professions. In Ukraine, digitalization processes significantly affect the course of labor relations and the organization of labor at enterprises, institutions, and organizations. The authors note that it is still a matter of concern to ensure the security of such information and to determine the range of persons who will have access to such information, such as who will be the owners and managers of such information. The authors of this article argue that innovations in labor legislation make sense in today’s information society

The aim of the work was to determine the concentration of nitrites in vegetable products (tomatoes, cucumbers, white cabbage, table beet, carrot, potatoes, onion and green onion, lettuce, spinach and parsley), realized at markets of the cities Ternopil, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Chernivtsi (Ukraine), to separate the distribution of nitrates in vegetables and also to study the influence of lactic microflora on the nitrate content at pickling tomatoes. It was established, that vegetables with the maximum exceed of maximum permissible concentration (MPC) by the nitrate content up to 1,6 times for products of closed soil are realized at markets. For open soil MPC exceed was in average 2,1 times. It was revealed, that most realized samples of tomatoes and leaf salad vegetables have the over-normative exceed of nitrates up to 35 %, and onion – the least one – 20 %. It was established, that nitrates accumulate in different parts of a fruit. In cucumbers, carrot, potato and table beet, the least quantity of nitrates accumulate in the external part of vegetables (near the surface), and the most one – in the central part. At the same time in cabbage and tomatoes, on the contrary, the least quantity – in the central part, the most one – in the area near the base of vegetables (stump). It was established, that at pickling tomatoes with the nitrate content within MPC lactic fermentation takes place with the intensive growth of titrated acidity, the decrease of the nitrate content takes place at this process. Under conditions of pickling tomatoes with the nitrate content two times more than MPC, the pickling process is a bit decelerated, but the nitrate content decreases to the safe level in a finished product. It was established, that vegetables with the nitrates quantity within 1500 mg/kg and more cannot be used in the pickling technology because of the bacteriological influence of nitrates on lactic microflora. Vegetables with such nitrate content must be obligatory condemned

The article is aimed at studying the world experience as to evaluating efficiency of the development of regional socio-economic systems, allocation of the meaning of system approach along with the diversity of socio-economic development factors in the search for effective management of territorial development, establishing the feasibility of applying the best foreign samples to Ukraine. Advantages of global practices of evaluating the development of socio-economic processes, their impact on building the system for management of the progressive regional development have been analyzed. Possibilities of using the studied experience for the formation of new approaches in the management of regional socio-economic development, choice of priorities and directions for realization of the efficient State regional policy in Ukraine have been evaluated. It is concluded that the necessary and relevant component in the analysis of socio-economic development of regions is the introduction of continuous current monitoring of the major indicators of socio-economic development. Research on the above indicated directions is the subject of further scientific researches as to improving the State management of socioeconomic processes at the regional level

Features of Corporate Liability for Violation of Competition Law

    Get PDF
The relevance of the study is determined by the need to establish corporate responsibility for breach of legislation. In this regard, this paper is aimed at identifying features of competition and corporate responsibility for breach of competition law. Particular attention is drawn to the case when corporations become monopolists and, in fact, dictate market rules. Consideration of the development aspect of competition law suggests that it largely limits the growth of corporate business and forces corporations to formulate strategies for splitting the business, thereby determining the conduct of business. In the modern world, where business is in many respects globalised, such measures can lead to a decrease in market indicators and form a dependence on the operations of certain corporations in the local market. The leading method to the study of this issue is the modelling method, which allows to consider this problem as a targeted and organised procedure related to the improvement and application of competition law, as well as the protection and development of competition. The novelty of the study lies in the possibility of limiting the activities of a corporation in a market that is occupied by it and where there is no practical competition. The authors consider the mechanism of self-regulation as a source of domestic competition law. The paper determines that self-regulation processes are also subject to state supervision and thus corporate self-regulation becomes an aspect of the regulation of competition enforcement by the state at large. The practical significance of the study is determined by the structural feature of the corporation as a quasi-state mechanism and the regulation of external relations between the state and corporations as tax residents on this basis

Ferroplasmas: Magnetic Dust Dynamics in a Conducting Fluid

We consider a dusty plasma, in which the dust particles have a magnetic dipole moment. A Hall-MHD type of model, generalized to account for the intrinsic magnetization, is derived. The model is shown to be energy conserving, and the energy density and flux is derived. The general dispersion relation is then derived, and we show that kinetic Alfv\'en waves exhibit an instability for a low temperature and high density plasma. We discuss the implication of our results.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figur

Current Problems of Legal Regulation of Remote Work in the Context of the Introduction of Restrictive Measures Caused by the Spread of Covid-19 in Ukraine and the EU

    Get PDF
The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which has spread to all countries of the world, has posed new challenges in terms of legal, socio-economic, political, and social development. The pandemic produced a need for a mechanism of legal regulation of a special organization of the remote work, working hours, workplace, working conditions, etc. The study aims to analyze and compare the legal regulation of remote work under the introduction of restrictive measures caused by the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine and the EU. The leading method was the method of comparative analysis. It helped to compare the specifics of the practice of EU member states in the field of legal regulation of remote work under the above conditions in Ukraine and the EU, identify how these issues are regulated in other EU countries. In Ukraine, it is necessary to improve the rules for regulating the responsibilities of the employer to compensate for the costs of a remote worker, enshrining in law the obligation of the employer to provide the employee with computer equipment, means of communication. The experience of European countries proves it is necessary to implement “right to disconnect” in Ukraine. Information and knowledge gained from the experience of different EU countries can be used as a basis for the adaptation and development of new relevant provisions in Ukraine

    Batch drying in sintering

An adapted mathematical model of sintering permits analysis of the thermophysical characteristics of batch drying, primarily in the main sintering period. Over the whole length of the sintering machine, most of the bed volume corresponds to equilibrium moisture content, which may be higher or lower than the initial value. The temperature of the gas entering the drying zone is calculated, and its dependence on the parameters of the batch and gas is determined. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc
