De acuerdo con una autobiografía y siete diarios, se sabe que el escritor mexicano mantuvo una correspondencia copiosa con diversos intelectuales de la época; desafortunadamente, la gran mayoría de estas cartas se encuentran desaparecidas y las pocas de las que se tienen noticias están dispersas en ediciones de otros autores o en distintos fondos de bibliotecas, tal es el caso de la relación epistolar entre Gamboa y su primo, José Luis Blasio (1842- 1923), quien fuera secretario particular del emperador de México (1863-1867), Maximiliano I de Habsburgo. Las 20 cartas que se encuentran en el Centro de Estudios de Historia de México, Carso, son tan sólo una pequeña muestra de este tipo de papeles personales, pero que permiten cotejar tanto la faceta de joven desenfadado que Gamboa dejó entrever en su temprana autobiografía (1893), así como muchos datos sobre su exilio (1914-1919) o la vida social y literaria mexicana. Abstract: Federico Gamboa (1864-1939), was a writer and diplomat, but also was a prolific and disciplined memorialist. His self-referential works, composed of an autobiography (Impressions and memories, 1893) and five journals published in Life (two posthumously), known as My Journal: much of my life and some of the others, narrated more than fifty years in the life of a protagonist and perceptive observer of the Mexican way of life (1880-1939). It is known that this Mexican writer maintained a voluminous correspondence with many intellectuals, unfortunately the majorities of these letters are missing and as few are found scattered in other editions of authors or libraries. This is the case of the epistolary relationship between Gamboa and former private secretary of the Emperor of Mexico (1863-1867), Maximilian I, José Luis Blasio (1842-1923). The 20 letters, conserved in the Centre for Historical Studies, Mexico, CARSO, are just a small sample of this type of personal papers, but allow collate both facet of carefree young Gamboa hinted in his early autobiography, and many facts about his exile (1914-1919) and its development in Mexican diplomacy. Este artículo analiza algunas de las ideas alrededor del concepto de juventud que el escritor y diplomático decimonónico Federico Gamboa (1864-1939) utilizó para sustentar muchas de las vivencias que dan forma a su autobiografía: Impresiones y recuerdos (1893). De forma concreta, se desgrana el citado texto para analizar las posturas narrativas que el confeso utiliza para construir su “discurso autentificador” (Pozuelo Yvanco, 2006); a la par, se contrastan con algunas ideas de sus contemporáneos. El precoz confeso juega con la variable juventud, no solo como un argumento más para editar a temprana edad sus memorias (28 años), sino como una suerte de ariete que le ayuda a abrirse paso entre sus contemporáneos y de paso justificar su pasado, el cual se aleja de las normas y rituales que la clase media mexicana decimonónica definían como deseables o idóneas. Más allá del carácter provocador del autor, este tipo de fuentes documentales, englobadas en la categoría de los papeles personales, permiten acercarse a los anhelos y los imaginarios de la clase media mexicana de una época en particular: el porfiriato (1876-1911)This article explores some of the ideas surrounding the concept of youth, especially those that the nineteenth-century writer and diplomat Federico Gamboa (1864- 1939) uses to sustain many of the experiences that shape his autobiography: Impressions and Memories (1893). Specifically, the above-mentioned text is described in order to analyze the narrative postures that Gamboa used to construct his ‘authentic discourse’ (Pozuelo Yvanco, 2006); at the same time, this text is contrasted with some ideas of his contemporaries. The precocious confessor plays with the youth variable, especially to edit his memoirs at an early age (28 years old), but also to make himself a place among his contemporaries and justify his past, which is far removed from what the rules and rituals of the Mexican middle-class defined as desirable or suitable. Beyond the provocative character of the author, this type of documentary sources, included in the category of personal papers, allow us to approach the desires and imaginary of the Mexican middle class of a particular era: porfiriato (1876-1911

This paper presents a 10-bit fully-differential rail-to-rail successive approximation (SAR) ADC designed for biomedical applications.
