In presented document the employment and human resources issues are discussed as impacted by Czech Republic joinig the Europia Union. New facts are shown having connection to an extension of labor market, changes on geographical mobility as well as in the area of lifelong education. In the same context it tis referred to reforms, social protection and labor market in member states of the Europia Union. Pricipal part of the work is dedicated to comparison of selected aspects and status of Czech Republic within Europia Union. Final part is devoted to recent status of economy in the area of employment and with outlook on future.Prezenční545 - Institut ekonomiky a systémů řízenívýborn

Forebrain Ischemic Stroke and the Phenomenon of Ischemic Tolerance: Is Homocysteine Foe or Friend?

    Get PDF
Hyperhomocysteinemia (hHCy) is a recognized comorbid risk factor of human brain stroke. We overview here the recent data on the homocysteine (Hcy) metabolism and on the genetic and metabolic causes of hHCy‐related neuropathologies. In context of our results which detected an increased oxidative stress in hyperhomocysteinemic rats, we discuss here the role of free radicals in this disorder. Brain ischemia‐reperfusion causes delayed neuronal death. Ischemic tolerance evoked by preconditioning (IPC) represents a phenomenon of central nervous system (CNS) adaptation to any subsequent ischemia. The paper describes changes in the mitogen‐activated protein kinases (MAPKs) protein pathways, and apoptotic markers were used to follow the degeneration process. Our studies provide evidence for the interplay and tight integration between extracellular signal‐regulated kinase (ERK) and p38 MAPKs signaling mechanisms in response to the hHCy and also in association with brain ischemia/IPC challenge. Recognition of the effects of risk factors in the ischemic tolerance would lead to improved therapeutics, especially the brain tissue

Potential associations among glucose tolerance test (GTT) as ability to metabolize glucose, estimated breeding values (EBVs) for milk traits and selected candidate gene polymorphisms were evaluated.  German Holstein sires, born in 1993 and between years 1999 and 2003, were analysed. A few significant negative correlations between milk and protein yield and GTT were found in sires born in 1993. Only a few significant correlations were found for protein yield, protein percentage and for fat percentage and yield (sires born in different years). Any linkage of DGAT1, GH1, GHR, FASN and OLR1 to GTT was found. Keywords: milk, glucose, correlation, breeding valuesReferencesDeepa, P.M. et al. The aim of this study was to determine the potential association between candidate loci and  indicators of meat quality in Czech Simmentals. For the study, loci for calpain (CAPN530) and myostatin (MSTN) were chosen. The  analysis revealed 258 bulls (locus CAPN530) and 228 bulls (locus MSTN) of Czech Simmental cattle. Genotyping was carried out by PCR/RFLP method. The association analysis was performed for polymorphisms of both loci and shear force of the raw and grilled meat on the 1st, 14th and 28th day after slaughter. The CAPN530 locus showed a statistically significant effect on the power cut for raw and grilled meat in the 1st day after the slaughter (P<0.05), and for grilled meat significant changes were stated in the 14th and 28th day post mortem (P<0.05). No significant relationships in locus MSTN between genotype and shear force (P<0.05) were found. The MSTN genotype affected the ability to bind water. However, the findings should be interpreted with caution to the unequal representation of genotypes for the locus MSTN in the study

Bachelor thesis is focused on exploring promotion of brands and companies on specific Czech fashion blogs. At the same time investigates the reaction of readers and awareness on the promotion of blogs and its actual impact on these readers. The theoretical part contains information about marketing, communication process, forms of communication, communication and communication mix on the internet. Further information in this section is about social networks and their use in business, the characteristics of a blog, the blog history, whether abroad or in the Czech Republic. The practical part presents the analysis of co-operation brands with specific Czech fashion bloggers and results of a questionnaire survey among the readers
