Este estudio analiza, en términos cuantitativos, el papel asignado a la voz del narrador y al estilo directo en los Himnos Homéricos; se establece una comparación con la situación en el caso de los poemas homéricos canónicos (Ilíada y Odisea). Las diferencias que el autor descubre en este punto entre Homero y los Himnos deben explicarse probablemente como diferencias de género literario

Subsurface deformation and geoid changes due to earthquakes

Presented in the First Meeting of Special Study Group 4.176 (Models of temporal variations of the gravity field) of the International Association of GeodesyThe subsurface deformation associated with earthquake faulting is modeled within a three-dimensional homogeneous half-space. It is found that at the boundary of ruptured fault, the strike slip faulting changes mainly the horizontal displacement field, shear stress; while dip slip events affect primarily both the vertical and horizontal components, normal stress. Yiscoelastic gravitational layered model was utilized for computing the postseismic displacement. The modeled postseismic subsurface uplift for five historical events match the geoid high found in the Himalayas. Such geoid residual may serve as a signature of historical events thus can be used to study the existence of seismic gaps.Peer reviewe

Literatura Griega: las bases del canon

This paper discusses the origin and perspectives of the canon of Greek Literature. After outlining the question, both the history of the word κανών and the concept ‘canon’ in Antiquity are explored. Nowadays the existence of different kinds of canon must be assumed: this paper deals with one of them, the so-called internal canon. In order to analyze it, some peculiarities of the ancient Greek Literature must be first identified. Afterwards the study specifies the reasons which make reasonable not to exclude three kinds of authors from the canon: postclassical writers, Christian authors and representatives of transcultural literatures. The paper discusses then the two main points concerning the canon, the textual quality and the importance within the cultural tradition. Finally some considerations concerning the possibility of establishing selective lists of Greek authors on the basis of the comments and critical judgments of ancient readers are proposed.Este trabajo estudia el origen y perspectivas del canon de la Literatura Griega. Tras plantear la cuestión, se traza la historia del término κανών y del concepto de ‘canon’ en la Antigüedad. Hoy por hoy parece que se ha de asumir la existencia de distintos tipos de canon: este trabajo se centra en uno de ellos, el canon interno. Para estudiarlo, se empieza por esbozar las características peculiares de la Literatura Griega antigua. Después se especifican las razones por las que no se han de excluir del canon a priori tres grupos de autores: escritores de época postclásica, autores cristianos, representantes de literaturas transculturales. A continuación, el trabajo se detiene en el examen de las dos claves básicas del canon: la calidad de los textos y su peso en la tradición. Por último, se proponen algunas consideraciones sobre la posibilidad de deducir listas selectivas a partir de la experiencia de los lectores de la Antigüedad

Geodetic signature produced by different sources in a gravitational layered Earth model

Presented in the First Meeting of Special Study Group 4.176 (Models of temporal variations of the gravity field) of the International Association of GeodesyWe describe theoretical and computational methods developed by our group for the calculation of displacement, gravity and potential changes resulting from different sources (representing magma bodies and faults) in elastic-gravitational and viscoelastic-gravitationallayered media. The existing codes corresponding to the models are also presented with the information about how they can be obtained for scientific use. The results obtained and work currently in progress are also described in this paper.Peer reviewe

Emendations of three theonyms in Cornutus’s Survey of the theological traditions of the Greeks

Este artículo analiza los problemas textuales que presentan las explicaciones de tres teónimos en el manual mitográfico de Cornuto. Se exponen los testimonios disponibles en cada caso, se plantean las opciones escogidas en las ediciones críticas de Lang (1881) y Torres (2018) y se elige un texto en función del método de exposición etimológico y alegorizante empleado en el tratado.This contribution analyses some textual problems related to the interpretation of three theonyms in Cornutus’s mythographical treaty. In each case the textual testimonies and the solutions adopted in the critical editions by Lang (1881) and Torres (2018) are considered. A text is proposed for each case on the basis of the etymological and allegorizing method employed in the treaty
