Esclerosis múltiple: estudio observacional de práctica clínica habitual con fármacos orales de prímera línea: teriflunomida y dimetilfumarato

Teriflunomida y dimetil fumarato son dos fármacos orales recientemente aprobados como terapias modificadoras de la enfermedad (TME) de primera línea para la esclerosis múltiple, con una eficacia muy similar a las TME parenterales convencionales y la ventaja de una posología más cómoda. El objetivo de este estudio es describir la práctica clínica habitual con estos dos fármacos en nuestro centro. Se analizan la evolución clínico radiológica de los pacientes y la permanencia con el fármaco. RESULTADOS: Al año de comenzar el tratamiento oral, el 100% de los pacientes con dimetil fumarato y el 73% de los pacientes con teriflunomida que continuaban con el mismo, estaban libres de enfermedad (p <0.05). La proporción de abandonos fue inferior al 20%. CONCLUSIONES: Este estudio sugiere que teriflunomida y dimetil fumarato son efectivos en el tratamiento de las formas remitentes recurrentes de esclerosis múltiple y generalmente bien tolerados. Estudio médico-legal de los agresores en la violencia de género

El trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar los tipos de violencia que con mayor frecuencia se producen: la violencia masculina hacia las mujeres. En la violencia de género están implicados dos personas: la víctima mujer y el agresor o maltratador hombre. De estas dos personas, me pareció más novedoso y difícil dedicar mi trabajo a la figura del agresor o maltratador. Se realiza una revisión Bibliográfica por búsquedas, de publicaciones científicas, estadísticas y datos del Instituto de Medicina Legal de Valladolid. Analizamos la actividad de las unidades de Valoración forense integral de Valladolid, a través del protocolo de valoración Médico-Forense Urgente del Riesgo de Violencia de Género. Con este trabajo pretendo concienciar de este gravísimo problema, a todos los profesionales sanitarios que podemos tener contacto con estas víctimas, aspirando a una sociedad culta y madura, que hunda sus más profundas raíces en la igualdad, la libertad, el respeto y la justicia.Grado en MedicinaGrado en Medicin

Los límites del derecho de acceso a la información pública

La configuración del derecho de acceso de los ciudadanos a la información pública contenido en la Ley 19/2013, de 9 de diciembre, ha supuesto un avance respecto de la regulación anterior. No obstante, el diseño legal continúa respondiendo a una concepción limitada del derecho de acceso, tanto por la naturaleza que esta le confiere, como por la previsión de un complejo y amplio sistema de límites que, en muchos casos, tienen carácter abierto e indeterminado, lo que da cabida a una mayor intensidad de la restricción. El presente trabajo pretende abordar con carácter general las limitaciones previstas por la Ley en relación con el derecho de acceso, así como el impacto que su aplicación práctica puede tener sobre la efectividad del principio de transparencia suprimir.The law 19/2013 configuration of the citizen's access to public information has meant a step forward comparing to the former regulation. Nevertheless, the legal design is still a response to a limited conception to the right of access to public information, whether the nature conferred or by the forecast of a complex and broad limits system, that very often has an open and indeterminate nature which accommodates more intensive restraints. This study hopes to globally tackle the restrictions considered by the law in connection with the access to public information right, as well as the impact that the practical application could have on the transparency principle

Smartphone sleep technology: health apps during covid-19 to mitigate psychosocial stress among children and adolescents

Children and adolescents are prone to physical fatigue and psychosocial anxiety because of the ongoing social distancing and sleep deprivations due to the long exposure to digital technology usage during the covid-19 pandemic. This scenario of sleep deprivation affects their educational endeavors and health quality. Through the use of smartphones as a sleep technology approach in mental health, this article reviews relevant literature concerning the mobile health applications for sleep hygiene among children and adolescents. It provides insight into smartphone sleep technology utilization that can alleviate the psychosocial stress and mental health issues that children and adolescents can experience amid the pandemic. The author stressed that the collaboration among health practitioners, educators, and researchers are also pertinent to strengthen health measures and to conduct evidence-based research on digital health interventions. The scientific results can increase smartphone-based sleep applications' monitoring as health interventions for children and adolescents to practice sleep hygiene. Future investigation should also examine and assess the effectiveness of smartphone sleep technologies for sleep quality and mental health outcomes

La protección de las fuentes de información : la integración del modelo español con la jurisprudencia del TEDH

La protección de las fuentes es un elemento esencial en el ejercicio del periodismo, al servicio del flujo informativo. Este instrumento de protección ha recibido durante mucho tiempo una atención escasa desde el punto de vista jurídico y, sin embargo, con frecuencia los propios medios visibilizan episodios de alegación o controversia en relación con sus elementos constitutivos. En su momento, España fue pionera constitucionalizándolo como derecho fundamental en el art. 20.1 d) CE. The use of hip hop music for english learning in secondary education: an interdisciplinary project

The present project is a methodological approach based on the use of hip hop music in secondary education as a way of learning a first foreign language (English) and also expressing emotions or solving personal conflicts. The proposal is to encourage students to develop their identity according to Erikson’s theory. The current regulation (LOMCE) has been taken into account in order to provide a methodological approach based on learning through projects (PBL). Students will elaborate their own material following a rhythmic pattern and they will construct their own personality while they are learning English. The Semantics of Spanish Compounding: An Analysis of NN Compounds in the Parallel Architecture

Noun-Noun compounds (NN) are a concatenation of two nouns that function as a single unit both morphosyntactically and semantically. One of the main challenges that a study of NN compounding faces is their semantics, and more precisely, identifying the implied semantic relations that hold between the two elements. One of the most recent frameworks that has been proposed to account for the semantic relations between the modifier and head in NN compounds is Jackendoff\u27s (2009, 2016) basic functions model within the Parallel Architecture framework. In this model, a semantic relation between the head and modifier is established by using an external function F (X, Y), which given two nouns N1 and N2 meaning X1 and Y2 respectively, yields the meaning of the compound.;Given that Spanish NN compounds are unproductive as opposed to languages like English, the aim is to demonstrate whether the model can be applied to Spanish, and if so, to identify the basic functions that hold in Spanish NNs organizing them in a hierarchy based on their frequency. Exploring these questions does not only have a potential to shed light on questions regarding the cross-linguistic applicability of Jackendoff\u27s system, but can also allow us to determine whether the unproductivity of NN compounds in Spanish correlates with their semantic inflexibility. The study also provides a comparison of the semantic relations present in Spanish NN compounds to those attested in Spanish N de N constructions (i.e. buque de guerra \u27ship of war\u27 = war ship). Since the latter constructions are very productive in the language, if semantic flexibility correlates with compounding productivity, they are expected to exhibit a wider range of semantic relations as opposed to NNs. Moreover, if it turns out that N de N constructions can be successfully interpreted by the basic function model, we will have evidence that they should be treated as NN compounds semantically.;The results show that the model proposed by Jackendoff can be successfully applied to Spanish. Despite the fact that almost all basic functions are attested in Spanish NN compounds, these functions are not equally frequent or common. In fact, there are significant differences with respect to the productivity of the functions in the language, as it becomes evident once they are arranged on a hierarchy according to their frequency. As for the N de Ns, most of the functions present in NNs are also attested in N de Ns but in a different hierarchical order. Last but not least, taking all the facts discussed in the thesis, it could be argued that semantics is a factor responsible for the peripheral nature of NN compounds in Spanish. Since NN compounds have fewer and less productive basic functions and express fewer semantic relations than alternative N de N construction, it seems that NN compounds are semantically restricted, which could be one reason for their unproductivity
