Percutaneous radiologic treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm
Daljnjim usavrÅ”avanjem koriÅ”tenih tehnika i materijala, uspjeÅ”nost operacije raste, a komplikacija opada. Zbog svih prednosti koju endovaskularni popravak aneurizme ima nad tradicionalnom otvorenom operacijom, možemo ju smatrati alternativom u lijeÄenju aneurizme abdominalne aorte.Abdominal aortic aneurysm, with myocardial infarction and stroke, is one of the most common diseases of the blood vessels. It is considered that almost 10% of the male population over age 60 has an aneurysm. Mortality from ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm in some cases rises to alarming 90%. With current techniques of aneurysm treatment, such as conservative (medical) treatment and open surgery, the results are not satisfactory. Encouraged with all these problems and shortcomings, 35 years ago experts performed a new repair method for abdominal aortic aneurysm. Although initial results did not meet the expectations of doctors and patients, this form of treatment has not been dropped. Since then, by improving techniques and materials, the success of the operation has been increasing and complications decreasing. Because of all the benefits that endovascular aneurysm repair has over traditional open surgery, it can be considered as an alternative in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms

Modeling the Permeable Power of the Road on a Semaforized Crossing Using Petri Nets
With the growth in demand and the development of traffic over the last fifty years, the need for the introduction of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is growing every day. With a modern approach they solve complex traffic problems. One modern approach is modeling the dynamics of Petri Nets. The Petri Nets is a powerful graphical and mathematical model for working with discrete systems. This paper describes how using a Petri Net can manage signaled intersections, assist in choosing the best alternative route, or manage an intersection at which an incident occurred. The research was carried out in a real traffic environment, at the intersection of ZagrebaÄka Road and BistriÄka Road in the center of the city Sesvete, by modeling with coloured timed Petri Nets
Methodological Approach for Evaluation and Improvement of Quality Transport Service in Public Road Passenger Transport
Achieving the appropriate level of quality transport service is essential in the operations of the carriers in the public road intercity line passenger transport due to an increased competition between road carriers in the market of transport services. Effective assessment of achieved competitiveness is important for the survival and development of public road passenger carriers. The problem of research is reflected in the appropriate organization and giving importance to the criteria of quality of transport service in order to improve the methodology of its evaluation with the aim of optimizing business and competitiveness in public road intercity line passenger traffic. An efficient method for evaluating the quality of transport service would solve the problem of assessing the quality of transport service and assessing the competitiveness of bus carriers. It is proposed to develop a multi-criteria model for evaluating the quality of transport services by the method of measuring passenger satisfaction. The developed VAZP model (Multicriteria Analysis of Passenger Satisfaction) is based on multicriteria analysis AHP (Analytical Hierarchical Process) which is based on the disaggregated approach and linear programming modeling. The results of the research will be described using numerical values and will be graphically presented using descriptive statistical analysis. The ability to qualitatively represent passengerźs judgments and preferences makes the model a suitable tool for assessing passenger satisfaction and evaluating quality service in the transportation sector, as well as strategically positioning and gaining a competitive opportunities in the transportation services market. Using the Expert Choice software tool and sensitivity analysis it would establish differences between reached level of the quality of transport service of individual bus carriers and propose possible improvements to the business to gain a competitive advantage in the market of transportation services. Systematic optimization and quality management through continuous assessment of market competitiveness contributes to the development of the business of companies for road passenger transportation

Abernethy malformation as a rare indication for liver transplantation: Case report
Abernethy malformation or congenital agenesis of the portal vein (CAPV) is a rare malformation of the abdominal splanchnic venous system. This malformation is commonly found in children and is often
associated with other malformations such as congenital cardiac anomalies and skeletal system disorders, as well as liver tumors. There are two types of Abernethy malformation. In type I, portal blood bypasses the liver completely, with the superior mesenteric vein and the splenic vein draining into the inferior vena cava separately (type Ia), or together (type Ib). There are no intrahepatic portal vein branches in the liver. Type II is a partial portocaval shunt in which portal blood partially supplies the liver. There is no unified therapeutic approach for all patients with Abernethy malformation, however, liver transplantation is recommended in patients with liver disease
(encephalopathy, poor liver function) and those with liver tumors. In this case report we present a case of Abernethy type Ib malformation in a 17-year-old patient with chronic malaise and uper abdominal pain. During diagnostic work-up, an unresectable liver tumor was found and the patient was successfully treated with orthotopic liver transplantation

Model of Quality Assessment of Transport Service in Public Road Intercity Line Passenger Traffic
Achieving the appropriate level of quality of transport service is an essential prerequisite for the provision of transport services. Measuring passenger satisfaction is considered the most effective feedback, given that it provides effective, direct, meaningful and objective customer wishes and expectations. Therefore, assessing the quality of the transport service by measuring passenger satisfaction is one of the most important issues pertaining to the business decisions of the companies for road transportation, which is justified by the philosophy of customer orientation and the main principles of continuous improvement of the modern enterprise. In fact, measuring passenger satisfaction is one of the five major functions of management science that enables understanding, analysis and improvement. In this way, passenger satisfaction is a fundamental standard of performance and a possible standard of excellence for any company for road transportation. In this doctoral thesis has been developed a hybrid model for assessment the quality of transport service in road intercity line passenger transport by the method of measuring passenger satisfaction. The model VAZP (multi-criteria passenger satisfaction analysis) uses a analytical hierarchical process (AHP), based on a disaggregated approach and linear programming modeling. The main advantage of the VAZP approach is that it respects the qualitative form of rating and passenger preferences expressed in passenger satisfaction. The research is based on data obtained from a survey of passenger satisfaction with the quality of transport service in road intercity line passenger traffic. The results of the research are described using numerical values and are graphically represented using descriptive statistical analysis. Using the Expert Choice software tool and sensitivity analysis, the differences between the achieved quality level of the transport service of individual road carriers are analyzed and determined, and the possible improvements in the business are proposed to gain competitive advantage in the transport services market. This ability to qualitatively represent passenger's judgments and preferences makes model VAZP a suitable tool for assessing the quality of passenger satisfaction and evaluating the quality of services in the passenger transportation sector, as well as strategically positioning and gaining a competitive edge in the transportation services market
