In order to determine a systematic method for increasing productivity, different methods have been implemented. However, these methods were mostly used for measuring the current situation and implementing a suitable instrument for the purpose of presenting an efficient solution in order to promote the productivity seems essential. For this purpose, operational research method is one of the most efficient and useful tools which tries to make the best advantage of them and use them systematically by implementing optimal resources. Using an goal planning tool through determining the essential goals for promoting productivity is a modern method which has attracted the attention of productivity areas and is able to study the interaction between the essential elements with productivity promotion approach. The purpose of this research is to study the relation between performing Fuzzy Goal Programming Method and productivity promotion of production factors such as the promotion of materials, capital productivity, and human resources. The deign used for this method is applied, analytic and descriptive. Twenty four hundreds experts from five major detergents companies existing in detergents industrial clusters were considered as the population of the present study. The results indicated that there is a positive strong relation between the three factors including promotion of materials, capital productivity, and human resources by implementing goal planning model

Selection of industrial robots using the Polygons area method

Selection of robots from the several proposed alternatives is a very important and tedious task. Decision makers are not limited to one method and several methods have been proposed for solving this problem. This study presents Polygons Area Method (PAM) as a multi attribute decision making method for robot selection problem. In this method, the maximum polygons area obtained from the attributes of an alternative robot on the radar chart is introduced as a decision-making criterion. The results of this method are compared with other typical multiple attribute decision-making methods (SAW, WPM, TOPSIS, and VIKOR) by giving two examples. To find similarity in ranking given by different methods, Spearman’s rank correlation coefficients are obtained for different pairs of MADM methods. It was observed that the introduced method is in good agreement with other well-known MADM methods in the robot selection problem

Neogene Uplift and Magmatism of Anatolia: Insights from Drainage Analysis and Basaltic Geochemistry

It is generally agreed that mantle dynamics have played a significant role in generating and maintaining the elevated topography of Anatolia during Neogene times. However, there is much debate about the relative importance of subduction zone and asthenospheric processes. Key issues concern onset and cause of regional uplift, thickness of the lithospheric plate, and the presence or absence of temperature and/or compositional anomalies within the convecting mantle. Here, we tackle these interlinked issues by analyzing and modeling two disparate suites of observations. First, a drainage inventory of 1,844 longitudinal river profiles is assembled. This geomorphic database is inverted to calculate the variation of Neogene regional uplift through time and space by minimizing the misfit between observed and calculated river profiles subject to independent calibration. Our results suggest that regional uplift commenced in the east at 20 Ma and propagated westward. Secondly, we have assembled a database of geochemical analyses of basaltic rocks. Two different approaches have been used to quantitatively model this database with a view to determining the depth and degree of asthenospheric melting across Anatolia. Our results suggest that melting occurs at depths as shallow as 60 km in the presence of mantle potential temperatures as high as 1400°C. There is evidence that potential temperatures are higher in the east, consistent with the pattern of sub-plate shear wave velocity anomalies. Our combined results are consistent with isostatic and admittance analyses and suggest that elevated asthenospheric temperatures beneath thinned Anatolian lithosphere have played a first order role in generating and maintaining regional dynamic topography and basaltic magmatism

Evaluation of Deterministic seismic hazard in Nowshahr Port by using fuzzy system

The purpose of the seismic hazard analysis is to predict the extent of the strong ground movements over a certain period of time on a specific site. There are uncertainties in all the inputs of the risk analysis, each of which expresses a property. As a result, recognizing uncertainties and how they are considered by different risk analysis methods can indicate the reliability of those methods in seismic hazard assessment. Fuzzy logic is a suitable tool that is used as a decision-making method for solving problems and modeling uncertainties and ambiguities. Nowshahr Port is located in the Alborz seismic province which is one of the seismic regions in Iran. In this study, a seismic hazard estimate for a range of 200 km radius from Nowshahr port was carried out at a latitude position of 34-38 degree north latitude and 49- 54 degree east longitude. For this purpose, 16 potential seismic sources have been used in the studied area. First, seismic hazard estimation was done by the Conventional deterministic method and then using fuzzy logic. According to the results obtained in the conventional deterministic method, Peak Ground Acceleration values estimated from Conventional deterministic method 0.52g and 0.55g application fuzzy Logic System
