    CORRELATION BETWEEN JOB MINDSET AND STUDENT’S READINESS TO BE AN ENTERPRENEUR

    Abstract: This research aimed to test the correlation between job mindset and student’s readiness to be anenterpreneur. This research used a correlational research design. The population of this research consists of 162 students as the participant of entrepreneurship education and training in Faculty of Economy, State University of Malang. The samples were 87 people taken using random sampling. The data were collected using questionnaire when the respondents were joining entrepreneurship education and training. The collected data were analyzed using correlational analysis technique. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between job mindset and student’s readiness to be an entrepreneur.Keywords: job mindset, student, the readiness to be an entrepreneu

    Membentuk Kemandirian Ekonomi Pesantren: Telaah terhadap Peran Kiai dalam Pesantren Al-Amien Prenduan, Madura

    The role of the Kiai in the independence of the pesantren is very urgent and central. The Kiai determines the pesantren's journey because he has a significant role as the most responsible person. The Kiai is the highest leader in the boarding school structure and has enormous authority. So, the economic independence factor of the pesantren is an essential factor in the future and the determination of the direction of the pesantren by the Kiai. In this study, two problems become the focus of the study: First, how is the role of the Kiai in the economic independence of pesantren. Second, what factors shape financial freedom in Islamic boarding schools. The Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic Boarding School, Sumenep, East Java, focus on this research. This type of research is qualitative research by describing and collecting phenomena and data. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method used descriptive analysis. Based on the research conducted, it is known that: first, the role of the Kiai in the economic independence of the pesantren is as a motivator, giver of ideas, advice, provider of capital, management controller, and decision-maker in various regulations that exist in the pesantren business unit that is managed. Second, internal and external factors are two factors that shape economic independence in Islamic boarding schools. Each component, either directly or indirectly, in the pesantren participates in supporting the economy of the pesantren, such as Kiai, administrators, asatidz, santri, and others are internal factors. Meanwhile, the external factor is that the community around the pesantren provides trust and support, such as employees in business units owned by the pesantren and by becoming consumers and investors

    Factors Influencing Labour Productivity Of Indonesian Public Sector Workers

    This study aims to determine the influences of education level, salary, and age to the work productivity of public sector workers. This study uses descriptive correlational regression design. The populations of the data, consists of lecturers and administrative public sector workers. The population numbers exceed 1,542 and 25% of the sample is taken proportionally with stratified random sampling and as the result, obtaining 377 people as the data. The type of data is in the form of secondary data. The data analysis is using descriptive and multiple regression techniques. The results show that the levels of education, salary, and age have significant effect to the work productivity of the public sector workers

    Implementation of the Total Quality Management in the Learning Quality Management System in Educational Institutions. This study aimed to analyse the implementation of the Total Quality Management (TQM) in the learning quality management system in educational institutions. This study used a descriptive design. The population consisted of people in the organizational structure of the quality management system and the sample was pusposively selected. The data were collected through interviews and documents and were analysed using the descriptive technique. The findings show that: (1) the TQM has been implemented but it still needs optimizing, (2) it needs support from the heads of relevant units, (3) there are constraints because of work teams that are not optimal and limited time and funds, (4) the strategies to deal with the constraints depend on the condition and situation, and (5) the implementation of the TQM refers to an evaluation and monitoring study and the draft of academic quality assurance documents

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan sanksi pelaku tindak pidana penyebar video porno di sosial media menurut Undang-Undang No 19 tahun 2016 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik, untuk mengetahui faktor yang menghambat proses penegakan hukum terhadap pelaku penyebar video porno di sosial media dan solusinya. Untuk itu penulis mengambil judul : Penerapan Sanksi Pelaku Tindak Pidana Penyebar Video Porno Di Sosial Media Menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi Dan Transaksi Elektronik. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penulisan ini dilakukan dengan penelitian hukum yuridis normatif yaitu dengan melakukan analisis terhadap permasalahan melalui pendekatan asas-asas hukum serta mengacu pada norma-norma hukum yang terdapat dalam peraturan perundang-undangan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Penerapan sanksi pidana bagi pelaku penyebar video porno dimedia sosial menurut Undang-undang No 19 tahun 2016 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik adalah pertanggung jawaban pidana menjurus kepada pemidanaan pelaku, jika telah melakukan suatu tindak pidana dan memenuhi unsur-unsur yang telah ditentukan oleh undang-undang. Salah satu Pengaturan hukum tentang tindak pidana pornografi yang disebarluaskan melalui media sosial adalah Pasal 27 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik karena Kata mendistribusikan atau mentransmisikan sehingga dapat diaksesnya dokumen elektronik yeng memiliki muatan yang melanggar kesusilaan ialah perbuatan yang dilarang dan apabila memenuhi unsur Pasal 27 ayat (1) akan dapat dikenakan sanksi pidana yang telah diatur dalam Pasal 45 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik dan Faktor apa yang menghambat proses penegakan hukum terhadap pelaku penyebar video porno di media sosial adalah adanya Faktor Internal berasal dari dalam Instansi penegakan hukum itu sendiri yaitu meningkatnya kejahatan porno di internet tidak dibarengi dengan peningkatan kualitas instrument hukum mulai dari Kepolisian, Kejaksaan, Peraturan Hukum dan Faktor Eksternal Faktor yang mungkin dijumpai pada penerapan peran yang seharusnya dari golongan yang berwenang atau penegak hukum, mungkin berasal dari dirinya sendiri atau dari lingkungan Khusus untuk Indonesia, yang mana belum ada rumusan delik baru mengenai kejahatan melalui Internet, jadi masih memakai rumusan lama yang serba kurang sehingga harus memakai penafsiran ekstensif. Solusi faktor yang menghambat proses penegakan hukum terhadap pelaku penyebar video porno di media sosial dengan cara menciptakan suatu sistem peradilan pidana yang baik dan melakukan kebijakan supremasi hukum pidana.     MANAJEMEN PESERTA DIDIK BERBASIS MINAT DAN BAKAT DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 10 SURABAYA

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan (1) analisis kebutuhan peserta didik; (2) proses rekrutmen dan seleksi peserta didik; (3) pembinaan peserta didik; dan (4) evaluasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif melalui kondensasi, data display, penggambaran dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Keabsahan data meliputi kredibilitas data melalui teknik triangulasi dan membercheck, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan konfirmabilitas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, meliupti jumlah daya tampung peserta didik menyesuaikan kondisi sekolah setiap tahunnya; program-program kesiswaan yang disusun menyesuaikan dengan minat dan bakat peserta didik; dan jumlah rasio antara guru dan peserta didik sesuai dengan aturan standar minimal pemerintah; (2) proses rekrutmen dan seleksi peserta didik, meliputi kebijakan penerimaan peserta didik berasal dari internal (yayasan muhammadiyah) dan eksternal (pemerintah); sistem penerimaan peserta didik baru menggunakan sistem promosi dan seleksi keberbakatan; dan pengelompokkan peserta didik berdasarkan hasil tes, gender, dan potensi; (3) pembinaan peserta didik, meliputi konsep real life skill sekolah dalam pembinaan peserta didik; disiplin siswa dilakukan dengan kegiatan yang bersifat preventif dan kuratif; kegiatan kurikuler dilakukan dengan metode berpusat pada peserta didik dan e-learning; setiap peserta didik mengikuti esktrakurikuler sesuai minat dan bakat; serta fasilitas yang diwujudkan melalui pengadaan dari sekolah maupun luar (MOU); (4) evaluasi peserta didik, meliputi kegiatan observasi, tes, dan pelaporan kepada peserta didik/wali murid sebagai wujud tanggungjawab sekolah serta untuk menjaga silaturahmi.     Strategies of Cultural Integration in Successful Merger-Companies

    Abstract: This research aimed to discover strategies in integrating a new culture within the merger companies. The strategies have elements including values, phases, leader role, and the system of cultural integration construction. This research used a meta-analysis with an expose facto research design. Findings indicate new cultural integrations were carried out by many companies through demonstrating internal and external values. Integrations are implemented through ‘pre, process, and post-merger’.  The most important in the preliminary stage is started by benchmarking, leading entire stages, and keeping a balance of collaboration between human and non-human aspects as well as leader and member components. This study concludes that the identified strategies highly contributed to effective management changes at micro, meso, and macro level. The implication is that leaders have to consider new cultural integration strategies properly. Since this study were based on meta analysis findings, future research needs to include empirical data originated from merging organizations.Key Words: strategy, cultural integration, organizationAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan strategi guna mengintegrasikan budaya baru dalam perusahaan merger. Dalam elemen strategi terdapat nilai-nilai, fase, peran pemimpin, dan sistem konstruksi integrasi budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan meta-analisis dengan desain expose facto. Temuan dari banyak perusahaan melalui pembuktian nilai-nilai internal dan eksternal. Integrasi dilaksanakan melalui 'pra, proses, dan pasca merger'. Dalam tahap pendahuluan, hal yang paling penting adalah benchmarking, memimpin seluruh tahapan, dan menjaga keseimbangan antara kolaborasi dan aspek non-manusia serta komponen pemimpin dan anggota. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi sangat berkontribusi terhadap perubahan manajemen yang efektif di tingkat mikro, mezo, dan makro. Para pemimpin harus mempertimbangkan strategi integrasi budaya baru dengan benar.     The Use of TQM as A Model to Improve University Performance in Indonesia

    The purpose of this study is to assess higher education performance in Indonesia, and how TQM is used as a model to promote this sector. The investigation was conducted employing a meta-analysis technique. Literatures and findings from some studies were reviewed to explore the performance indicators and how these were improved employing this model. Results identified unsatisfied universities performance and its development still moved slowly. Insufficient governance was found as one of factors influencing this condition.     PENGARUH STRATEGI PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS

    ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: 1) untuk mengetahui hasil perbedaan kemampuan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara diajar strategi problem based learning dengan inquiry. 2) mengetahui perbedaan antara motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan rendah terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. 3) mengetahui perbedaan interaksi antara problem based learning dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis. Populasi penelitian ini 93 siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. Sampel diambil secara acak. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrument terdiri angket motivasi berprestasi dan tes hasil belajar untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan teknik analisis varians dua jalur (ANAVA). Berdasarkan penyajian data dan pembahasan disimpulkan : 1) strategi pembelajaran problem based learning lebih baik dari pada inquiry terhadap keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa. 2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi tinggi dan motivasi rendah terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. 3) strategi pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata  kunci: problem based learning, inquiry, motivasi berprestasi, berpikir kritis ABSTRACT The aims of this research are: 1) to find out the results of differences in students' critical thinking skills between those taught with problem based learning and inquiry strategies. 2) knowing the difference between high and low achievement motivation on students' critical thinking skills. 3) find out the difference in the interaction between problem based learning and achievement motivation on critical thinking skills. The population in this study were 93 students of class XI MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. Samples were taken randomly. While the data collection method using an instrument consisting of achievement motivation questionnaires and learning outcomes tests to determine students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis used two-way analysis of variance (ANAVA) technique. Based on data presentation and discussion, it can be concluded: 1) problem based learning strategy is better than inquiry on students’ critical thinking skills. 2) there is a significant difference between high achievement motivation and low motivation on strudents’ critical thinking skills. 3) learning strategies and achievement motivation have an effect on students’ critical thinking skills. Keywords: problem based learning, inquiry, achievement motivation, critical thinkin
