    Pembelajaran dengan ceramah, media papan tulis dan kapur ternyata hanya menghasilkan 31% anak yang mampu berhitung permulaan dengan baik. Padahal harapan guru adalah 80% dari jumlah anak yang mampu berhitung permulaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak dengan permainan keping geometri pada anak kelompok A di TK ABA Sukorejo Kecamatan Wedi Kabupaten Klaten Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan seting di TK ABA Sukorejo Kecamatan Wedi Kabupaten Klaten. Data tentang perilaku guru, perilaku siswa, dan situasi kelas dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, sedangkan data tentang kemampuan berhitung permulaan dikumpulkan dengan metode penugasan. Analisis data dengan teknik analisis kritis untuk proses dan teknik analisis konparatif untuk dampak yaitu kemampuan berhitung permulaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan anak awal berhitung ada 9 anak dari 29 anak. Pada siklus pertama menjadi 14 anak pada siklus kedua menjadi 18 anak dan pada siklus ketiga menjadi 23 anak, artinya secara klasikal telah meningkat kemampuan berhitung anak mencapai 80%. Ini berarti kemampuan berhitung anak mengalami peningkatan dengan metode permainan keping geometri

    Pembinaan Kultur Sekolah Sebagai Upaya Pembentukan Karakter Di SD Manisrejo 1 Madiun

    Abstract: This study aims to determine the development of school culture in SD Manisrejo 1 Madiun City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research subjects were the principal, teachers, students and parents of students. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of the data in this study uses the Miles and Huberman Model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that SD Manisrejo 1 had implemented the school culture optimally with the collaboration of principals, teachers and students. School culture developed and fostered by schools is 5 S culture, courtesy and politeness culture, checking morning present or absence, morning story, read the scriptures of holy quran, morning prayer and cast praise on the prophet, multidirectional communication, and cultural love. The characters that are grown from fostering school culture are discipline, religious, social care, honesty, fond of reading, tolerance, love for the motherland/Nationalism, mutual respect, friendship, responsibility and care for the environment. The character must always be fostered continuously so that all school personnel have a noble personality. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembinaan kultur sekolah di SD Manisrejo 1 Kota Madiun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru, siswa dan orangtua siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian menggunakan Model Miles dan Huberman yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SD Manisrejo 1 telah menerapkan budaya sekolah dengan optimal dengan kolaborasi kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Kultur sekolah yang dikembangkan dan dibina oleh sekolah adalah Kultur 5 S, kultur unggah ungguh, absen pagi, morning story, tadarus pagi, doa pagi dan bersholawat, komunikasi multiarah, dan cinta budaya. Karakter yang ditumbuhkan dari pembinaan kultur sekolah yakni kedisiplinan, religius, peduli sosial, jujur, gemar membaca, toleransi, cinta tanah air, saling menghargai, bersahabat, tanggungjawab dan peduli lingkungan. Karakter tersebut harus senantiasa dibina secara kontinue agar seluruh personil sekolah berkepribadian luhur

    This research purposes to analysis and describe the teacher’s difficulty comprehension about the materials in the teacher’s book and student’s book of Mathematic in Junior High School at VIII grade based on 2013 curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with kind of research is study case. The subjects of research are math teachers at Junior High School consist of one teacher in 1 Junior High School Wonogiri, one teacher in 2 Junior High School Wonogiri, and one teacher in 2 Muhammadiyah Junior High School Baturetno. The prime source is from interviewing with the math teachers. Collecting the information by observation, interview, and documentation. The legitimation of data by triangle of source, method, other research, and member check. The model of analysis used by the researcher is interactive analysis. The procedural of this research using three steps, those are study of preparation, general exploration, and special exploration. The result from this research indicates that third of the teacher have same problem into understanding the materials from both of the books are the adequacy of material is yet has a time allocation and the essential of material makes the students being difficulty and also the authenticassessment still to make teachers feel confused

    Budaya Literasi Sebagai Upaya Pengembangan Karakter pada Siswa di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota

    Abstrak: Membudayakan Literasi di sekolah menjadi langkah paling penting untuk pengembangan kemampuan dan wawasan pada siswa. SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota telah berpartisipasi dalam membudayakan literasi. Oleh karena itulah penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi budaya literasi yang ada di SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota dan bagaimana budaya literasi dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data kepala sekolah, guru, pustakwan, siswa, dan komite sekolah. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yakni reduksi data, sajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yakni SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota telah membudayakan literasi dengan sangat optimal. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan tersedianya perpustakaan yang memadai dan nyaman untuk para siswa, adanya pagupon literasi dihalaman sekolah, dan pembuatan mading kelas setiap bulannya untuk membiasakan anak membaca dan mencari informasi. Pelaksanaan budaya literasi ini dapat menumbuhkan karakter pada anak yakni karakter tanggungjawab, peduli sosial, toleransi, saling menghargai teman, disiplin, gemar membaca, karakter menghargai prestasi, karakter rasa ingin tahu, karakter kerja keras, karakter kreatif, karakter bersahabat/komunikatif, karakter cinta damai dan peduli lingkungan. Budaya Literasi yang dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota dapat meningkatkan potensi, kualitas diri dan karakter positif pada siswa.   Kata Kunci: Budaya Literasi, KarakterAbstract: Culture literacy in schools is the most important step for the development of skills and insights in students. SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota has participated in culture literacy. Therefore, this research aims to describe the implementation of literacy culture in SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota and How culture literacy can develop the character of students. This study uses qualitative descriptive methode. Data sources of Principals, Teachers, Librarian, students, and School Committees. Data retrieval techniques using interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data feed, and conclusion. The results of the study is SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota has cultured literacy very optimally, this is evidenced by the availability of adequate and convenient libraries for students, the availability of literacy pagupon in the school yard, and the creation of mading classes every month to get used to children reading and looking for information. The implementation of this literacy culture can foster character in children namely character responsibility, social care, tolerance, mutual respect of friends, discipline, love of reading, character appreciate achievement, character curiosity, character hard work, creative character, friendly/communicative character, peace loving character and caring environment. Literacy culture implemented in SD Muhammadiyah Bantul Kota is expected to increase potential, self-quality and positive character in student.  Keywords: Literacy Culture, Characte

    Kalawet (Hylobates agilis albibarbis) is one of Hylobates species that naturally living in Kalimantan and can be found in the Natural Peat Swamp Forest Laboratory (LAHG) CIMTROP of Palangkaraya University, Sebangau National Park, Central Kalimantan. This research was aimed to assess the population of kalawet. It was carried out in July up to October 2005. The line transect sampling method was used to survey population. The results of population survey of 6 km2 of mixed swamp forest found 15 groups of kalawet, which consisted of 2-4 individuals/group. The population density was 7.67 individuals/km2 with group density of 2.5 groups/km2 and average group size of  3 individuals/group.Keywords:  population, kalawet, Sebangau National Par

    Population growth and industrial development cause oil fuel consumptionincreases, so availability will thinning because it cannot be renewed. So toovercome that the government issued Presidential Decree No.10 of 2006concerning Development of Vegetable Fuels. Biodiesel is one of themrenewable alternative energy sources which are processed from vegetable oilswith use alcohol and NaOH as catalysts through the transesterificationprocess. Used cooking oil is one source of vegetable oil that can used as rawmaterial for making biodiesel through the process transesterification. But theuse of used cooking oil directly without through the adsorption process willaffect the quality of the biodiesel produced. The purpose of this study is todetermine the effect of adsorption time used cooking oil for the quality ofbiodiesel produced from used cooking oil. This research aimed to know thereis or no effect of odsorption time of cooking oil using the clay towardsbiodiesel quality. Object of this research used cooking oil which is adsorptedwith varieties time of adsorption was 0 hour (Control), 12 hours, 36 hoursand 48 hours. Based on the result of research showed that adsorption timehas effect towards quality, where high adsorption time was 12 hours. Qualityof biodiesel has been suitable with SNI. The quality was dencity 0,860 gr/cm3,water degree 0,035% vol, flame coordinate 170oC and acid number 0,71 mgKOH/g oil % the result of biodiesel 55,29%

    This study aimed to describe the principal's role in improving the professionalism of teachers in SLB N 1 Sleman, and to investigate the factors supporting or inhibiting factors anything contained in the school in relation to improving the professionalism of teachers in special schools NI Sleman.The method used is qualitative research that emphasizes the depth of information or meaning. Qualitative methods in this research is to gain a more complete data, depth, credible, and meaningful about SLB Negeri 1 Sleman. The reason for choosing the location of this study are striking differences in achievement between schools SLB in Sleman. In this study used data observation and interview techniques to the source ie the Principals and staffs as well as educators and education in SLB N 1 Sleman. To test the data used triangulation of data sources were analyzed by means of inductively to obtain meaningful conclusions.This study found a close relationship between the two variables, namely the role of the school principal and teacher professionalism. The role of principals include as, educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, motivator, and interpreneur ( EMASLIM ) in improving the professionalism of teachers in SLB N 1 Sleman.     SURVEY TINGKAT KECEMASAN ANAK TERHADAP TINDAKAN vPENCABUTAN GIGI DI POLI GIGI PUSKESMAS MATESIH KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR

    Perawatan gigi seringkali menimbulkan kecemasan pada anak. Dimana kecemasan ini dialami oleh anak selama perawatan gigi, hal ini dapat menyebabkan anak bersikap tidak kooperatif sehingga dapat menghambat proses perawatan gigi khususnya pada tindakan pencabutan gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan anak terhadap tindakan pencabutan gigi di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar.Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah anak cabut gigi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi sejumlah 34 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah facial image scale (FIS) yang berupa hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan saat tindakan pencabutan gigi di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Matesih.Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini survey tingkat kecemasan anak terhadap tindakan pencabutan gigi di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar berdasarkan usia 6-12 tahun yaitu 20,6% merasa sangat senang, 26,5% merasa senang, 41,2% merasa agak tidak senang, 8,8% merasa tidak senang dan 2,9 merasa sangat tidak senang. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin responden perempuan memiliki tingkat kecemasan paling tinggi (sangat tidak senang) dibandingkan responden laki-laki. Sesuai kategorisasi kecemasan maka sebanyak 88,2% merasa tidak cemas, sedangkan 11,8% merasa cemas. Dengan demikian maka survey tingkat kecemasan anak dalam kategori tidak cemas terhadap tindakan pencabutan gigi di Poli Gigi Puskesmas Matesih Kabupaten Karanganyar
