    PENDEKATAN SCIENTIFIC DISERTAI MIND MAP UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS SERTA SELF EFFICACY SISWA SMP

    Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan koneksi matematis serta keharusan mengembangkan aspek afektif dalam pembelajaran matematika yang mempunyai hubungan dengan keberhasilan seseorang dalam mengerjakan tugas akademik. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map. Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep, koneksi matematis serta self efficacy antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map dan pembelajaran ekspositori. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa SMP kelas VIII. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep, koneksi matematis dan angket self efficacy. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik nonparametrik Mann-Whitney U. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk mendiskripsikan self efficacy siswa setelah pembelajaran dan menganalisisnya menggunakan uji statistik nonparametrik Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara ekspositori. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara ekspositori. (3) Self efficacy siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan self efficacy siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori. Namun self efficacy siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific disertai mind map sudah mengarah untuk menjadi lebih baik. . Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis, Self Efficacy, Pendekatan scientific, Mind Map The study was based on the problem of the low ability of understanding mathematical concepts and connections as well as the necessity to develop the affective aspects of learning mathematics that regarding a person's success in academic tasks. To overcome this, a research was conducted using a scientific approach with mind map. This study examines the problem of improvement of understanding the concept and mathematical connection, as well as self efficacy between students who study mathematics through a scientific approach with mind map and students who study through expository. This study was a quasi-experimental research using purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were eighth grade junior high school students in Bandung academic year 2014/2015 and the sample in this study were eighth grade students as much as two classes. Instruments used in this research were test the ability of understanding the concepts, mathematical connections and self efficacy questionnaire. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis was performed using nonparametric statistical test of Mann-Whitney U. The qualitative analysis was done to describe the self efficacy of students after learning and analyzing them using nonparametric statistical test of Mann-Whitney U. The results showed that: (1) Improvement of the ability of understanding mathematical concepts of students who acquire learning with a scientific approach with mind map was better than students who received expository learning. (2) Improvement of the ability of mathematical connection of students who obtain a scientific approach with the mind map was better than students who received expository learning. (3) Self efficacy of students who obtain a scientific approach with mind map did not differ significantly with self efficacy of students who obtain expository. But the self efficacy of students who obtain a scientific approach with mind map were better than students who obtain expository.     This study aimed to analyze AUD cognitive development learning implementation by recognizing the numbers 1-20 in group B at RA Muslimat NU Mutiara Bangsa Dolopo. This study uses qualitative research methods by disclosing in-depth data through interviews, observation, and review of documents about what informants do and how to plan, implement and evaluate learning to develop numeracy skills 1-20. The study's results stated that at RA Muslimat NU Mutiara Bangsa Dolopo, in learning to develop the ability to count from 1-20 in group B, the teacher had carried out the learning planning stages, namely setting themes and determining methods. In learning, learning to develop counting 1-20 group B by using home visit services. The technique used is a play method that easily stimulates a child's brain simulation so that children can easily understand and have fun learning for RA Muslimat NU Mutiara Bangsa media in developing knowledge to count 1-20 using various media, namely counting with fingers, using number cards, and using seeds. In designing learning to measure 1-20 groups B RA Muslimat NU Mutiara Bangsa Dolopo, the teacher always evaluates, namely making observations without emphasizing the results of children's activities, but the teacher must first understand the child's abilities and continue to guide and always provide motivation to children so that cognitive abilities children can develop optimally according to the child's abilities, in this case, the ability to count 1-20

    This study aimed to determine the effect of capital expenditure and accrual directors on financial performance in Aceh local government. The research method used is a quantitative approach using secondary data. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression. The population in this study were all districts/cities in Aceh Province, totalling 23 City Districts, with the observation year taken being 2017-2019. From 23 samples with three years of observation, 69 observations were obtained. The results showed that capital expenditure affects the financial performance of local governments. However indicates that local governments make capital expenditures appropriately and effectively, so this can improve the financial performance of local governments. Accrual directors affect the financial performance of local governments. However, by using an accrual accounting system, directors can better evaluate the financial performance of local governments

    STUDENTS PERCEIVED CONFIDENCE IN WRITING PUBLISHABLE ARTICLES

    There has been an increasing demand for undergraduate students to do their scholarly research and publish the finding in the form of articles in their final year of study. The importance of writing publishable articles is a repeated and step-by-step process to maintain self-confidence in writing articles. In other words, many students struggle to publish their articles because the rate of successful articles can be affected by the common mistake made. Therefore, this qualitative study aimed to find how undergraduate students perceived confidence in writing publishable articles since they may still have difficulties in writing articles. The researcher used thematic data analysis to summarize data points. This study applied criterion-based sampling as a technique to determine the sample. The total number of participants was 8 students. This study focused on English Language Education Study Program (ELESP) students in semester 8 at Sanata Dharma University who once joined a conference and published their articles. Data were collected from interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and document analysis. The findings showed that most ELESP students faced some challenges in writing articles. The challenges experienced frequently by students were the use of grammar and vocabulary. Nonetheless, the results showed that ELESP students utilized some online tools and benefited from feedback from other parties to increase their confidence in writing articles

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji “Penerapan Pendekatan Kontekstual dengan Pemberian Tugas Mind Map Setelah Pembelajaran terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Siswa SMP” dengan desain eksperimen pretest dan postest pada Pokok Bahasan Persamaan Garis Lurus, yang dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2010/2011. Adapun rinciannya adalah: 1) mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dengan pemberian tugas mind map Setelah Pembelajaran; 2) mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dengan pemberian tugas mind map setelah pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran matematika lebih baik daripada kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori; 3) mengetahui respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dengan pemberian tugas mind map setelah pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual disertai pemberian tugas mind map setelah pembelajaran adalah sedang. Siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan kontekstual disertai pemberian tugas mind map setelah pembelajaran secara signifikan memiliki peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika dengan ekspositori. Respons Siswa terhadap pembelajaran ini menunjukkan respons yang positif, dapat dilihat dari angket, jurnal harian dan hasil observasi terhadap aktivitas guru dan siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung

    The Ability of Secondary Metabolites from Actinomadura sp. as COVID-19 Protease Inhibitor: In Silico Method

    The pandemic of COVID-19 disease in the late of 2019 resulted in the massive screening for drug discovery purpose. However, there is still no reports about the ability of natural products from bacterial group of class Actinobacteria as COVID-19 inhibitor. The aim of this research is to identify the potential ability of natural compounds from Actinomadura sp., the member of class Actinobacteria, against two receptors of COVID-19 protease with PDB ID 6LU7 and 5R7Y. The eleven natural compounds were docked using AutoDock Vina and the interaction between receptor and ligands were analysed using LIGPLOT. The most potential compound was simulated for its interaction stability using Yet Another Scientific Artificial Reality Application (YASARA) dynamics. The result of molecular docking by AutoDock Vina showed that Sagamilactam become the most potential inhibitor for viral protease as it had lower binding affinity (6LU7:-12 and 5R7Y:-10.4) compared to the both of  native ligand (6LU7:-11.4 and 5R7Y:-4.6). Furthermore, the interaction of the most potential ligand showed the low number of Root Mean Square Deviation (RMSD) deviation in molecular dynamic simulations. This result validated the docking method that used and indicated that secondary metabolites produced from rare actinobacteria of Actinomadura sp. have promising possibility to inhibit COVID-19 protease

    Analisis Kebutuhan Model Media Audio Cerita Wayang Bagi Remaja

    Puppet was the cultural heritage of Indonesia and a world heritage whose many advantages and some disadvantages. Indonesian youth was considered away from the puppet. Unit of Educational and Culture of Radio Media Development addressed this phenomenon by conducting a needs analysis of puppet stories as audio media character education for the younger generation, in particular adolescent ages 12-18 years. The analysis was conducted to uncover the adolescent perception about the puppet and how their need about the puppet which was broadcasted through the radio. This study used the survey method and involved radio stations in Middle Java and Eastern Java, which had been partnered with BPMRPK and had founded school and student community. The results showed that teens are considered the main attractive of the puppet performances was at the story. Teens considered puppet stories would be interesting if the radio broadcast program was made by adjusting the present context. Most teens need a puppet story radio broadcast in the form of a recording, duration of 30 minutes, and aired every day.Wayang merupakan warisan budaya Nusantara sekaligus warisan budaya dunia yang memiliki banyak kelebihan dan kekurangan. Sekarang ini generasi muda Indonesia dianggap tidak lagi memerhatikan keberadaan wayang. Balai Pengembangan Media Radio Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (BPMRPK) menyikapi fenomena ini dengan melakukan analisis kebutuhan tentang cerita wayang sebagai media audio pendidikan karakter bagi generasi muda, khususnya remaja usia 12-18 tahun. Analisis dilakukan untuk mengungkap pandangan remaja tentang kesenian wayang dan bagaimana kebutuhan remaja tentang kesenian wayang yang disiarkan melalui media radio. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan melibatkan stasiun radio mitra di Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur yang memiliki sekolah binaan atau komunitas pelajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja menganggap daya tarik utama pertunjukan wayang adalah pada cerita. Remaja menganggap cerita wayang akan menarik bila dijadikan program siaran radio dengan menyesuaikan konteks masa kini. Sebagian remaja membutuhkan siaran radio cerita wayang dalam bentuk rekaman yang berdurasi 30 menit dan disiarkan setiap hari. Wayang merupakan warisan budaya Nusantara sekaligus warisan budaya dunia yang memiliki banyak kelebihan dan sejumlah kekurangan. Generasi muda Indonesia dianggap menjauhi wayang. Balai Pengembangan Media Radio Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (BPMRPK) menyikapi fenomena ini dengan melakukan analisis kebutuhan tentang cerita wayang sebagai media audio pendidikan karakter bagi generasi muda, khususnya remaja usia 12-18 tahun.
