    Traditional Versus Modern Procedures of Village Head Election in Indonesia

    This research focuses on the traditional versus modern methods in conducting the election of the head of a village in Indonesia. A village head has a major role in organizing and managing community interests. In participating in the election of the village head, a village head must deliver his the programs. One tool that can be utilized in delivering some programs is social media. Despite so, there are some village heads that use the traditional ways, which are commonly known as 'door to door' approach. The purpose of this study is to investigate traditional versus modern methods as a technique of village head in transmitting and spreading programs to people. The research design of this study is qualitative study. This research used interviewing method. This research was conducted in Makkawaru Village, Mattiro Bulu Subdistrict, Pinrang Regency, and South Sulawesi Province. This research found that the use of social media and Internet is still infrequent among the villagers. Most of which use social media and the Internet is generally still among the youth. The candidates of village heads in delivering campaign programs are still traditional

    Analysis Level Innovation Of Public Service Field Licensing In The District Pinrang Province South Sulawesi

    -This study aims to describe and analyze the level of public service innovation field permits held by local governments at the district Pinrang, South-Sulawesi province of Indonesia. The approach used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches to case study research strategy. Informant is an element of local government, community leaders, and the user community. While the respondent is the user community and the experts/ expert. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tracking documents. Quantitative data analysis techniques using interval scale (Scale Likert) and processed using SPSS software, while the qualitative data analysis techniques using an interactive model which consists of four activities namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that (1) Level of innovation of the eight dimensions of best practices; impact, sustainability partnerships, leadership, community development, transfer programs, local context, and gender equality as a whole to obtain an average value high. (2) some aspects that need to be improved so that innovations are being implemented can be the best practices that can be applied in other areas is to improve website performance and user empowerment, and adequate budgetary support (3) The commitment of all members of the organization in carrying out minimum service standards and standard operating procedures, transparency and accountability to be key to the success of service innovation field permits Local Government held in Pinrang

    GAMBARAN KONTAMINASI BAKTERI PADA PERALATAN MAKAN ANAK DI TK SWAKELOLA KOTA MAKASSAR

    Bakteri merupakan salah satu mikroorganisme yang terdapat di banyak tempat salah satunya pada peralatan makan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran kebersihan perseorangan guru saat menyiapkan makanan bagi anak, mengetahui gambaran keberadaan bakteri, dan mengetahui jenis bakteri yang terdapat pada peralatan makan anak di salah satu TK Swakelola di Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sampel terdiri atas dua yaitu responden dan sampel peralatan makan. Data responden didapatkan dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan lembar observasi serta sampel peralatan makan diambil dengan menggunakan metode usap alat kemudian diuji di laboratorium. Total responden berjumlah 12 orang guru dan sampel peralatan makan berjumlah 21 buah. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan perilaku penanganan peralatan makan serta pengetahuan kebersihan perseorangan guru masih perlu ditingkatkan. Hasil uji laboratorium menunjukkan 20 dari 21 sampel mengandung bakteri gram positif dan gram negatif. Jenis bakteri yang berhasil diidentifikasi adalah Bacillus sp, Klebsiella sp, Enterobacter eglomerance, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Proteus vulgaris, Providencia alkalifaciens, dan Enterobacter hafniae. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bakteri ditemukan hampir pada semua jenis peralatan makan yang dijadikan sebagai sampel serta kebersihan perseorangan guru masih perlu ditingkatkan

    Three-phase Inverter Using Microcontroller for Speed Control Application on Induction motor

Published in IEEE Xplorer (Indexed by SCOPUS)This paper presents a PWM-controlled threephase inverter designed for controlling the speed of a three phase induction motor. Inverter has very important role as a power conditioning on the electric power system and industrial field. The speed of the induction motor can be controlled by changing the voltage frequency input of the induction motor. The three phase inverter is implemented by using a Power MOSFET and the PWM signal is generated by a Microcontroller. The inverter performace is measured by simulation and experimental test. Inverter circuit is simulated using PSpice software to investigate the inverter behavior and performance. The testing is conducted using two induction motors with different rpm specification. The testing result shows that the Microcontroller can control well the motor speed in no-load mode with various speed references

    The farmers willingness to pay on artificila insemination in bali cattle

    Willingness to pay is the willingness of farmers to pay for inseminator services to improve the quality of the result of artificial insemination of livestock and economic revenue. This study aims to determine the factors that encourage willingnes to pay farmers in applying artificial insemination in Bali cattle. Research conducted on April - October 2017 in Balusu District, Barru Regency, South Sulawesi with the total population 548 people. The sample selection using Slovin method produces a sample of 85 people. Data were collected by questionnaire at 6 villages. Analysis used the question as an open method to calculate the value of willingness to pay and using factorial analysis. The result study showed that the willingness to pay consisted of inseminator costs, transportation costs, the farmers pay inseminator after the calf is born, but there are also farmers who pay gradually.     ANALISIS TEBAL PERKERASAN APRON PADA BANDAR UDARA SENTANI BERBASIS JUMLAH DAN TIPE PESAWAT

    Bandar Udara Sentani merupakan salah satu bandara udara yang menjadi penghubung antara kabupaten yang ada di daerah Papua. Pertumbuhan yang terjadi setiap tahunnya membuat Bandar Udara Sentani semakin ramai. Analisis perkerasan kaku Apron Bandar Udara Sentani bertujuan untuk mengetahui tebal lapisan perkerasan pada bandar udara. Adapun metode perencanaan yang dipakai adalah metode FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Langkah pertama yang perlu diperhatikan adalah nilai CBR (California Bearing Ratio) tanah dasar, penentuan nilai modulus of subgrade, pemilihan pesawat rencana, MTOW pesawat, beban satu roda pesawat (w2), keberangkatan terkoreksi (R2), beban satu roda pesawat rencana (w1) dan equivalent annual departures pesawat rencana (R1). Analisis perkerasan ini menggunakan pesawat rencana Boeing 737-900ER.Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan, selanjutnya nilai MTOW pesawat rencana, mutu beton, nilai modulus of subgrade dan nilai R1 diplotkan pada kurva FAA sehingga didapatkan tebal perkerasan. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk pesawat rencana Boeing 737-900ER dibutuhkan tebal perkerasan 61 cm dengan 41 cm lapisan slab beton dan 20 cm lapisan subbase.\ud \ud \ud Sentani Airport is the connector of the district in Papua. The Growth that happen every years make Sentani Airport more crowded. The analysize used FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) method. The first step that need to be considered in the planning was the value of CBR (California Bearing Ratio) on subgrade, defining of the aircraft plan, maximum takeoff weight of aircraft, load wheel of the aircraft (W2), corrected departures (R2), load wheel of the aircraft plan (W1) and equivalent annual departures of aircraft (R1). After all data were obtained, the values of MTOW aircraft plan, flextural strength rigid, modulus of subgrade reaction, equivalent annual departures were plotted on\ud FAA curve to determine the thickness of rigid pavement. The analaysize used Boeing 737-900 ER being aircraft plan, and got the thicknesof pavement was 61 cm, which were a layer of rigid (41 cm) and subbase (20 cm)

    Analisis Kesesuaian Lahan Wilayah Pesisir Kota Makassar Untuk Keperluan Budidaya

    INTRODUCTION \ud The coastal area is a meeting between land and sea, hence the region is an area of unique geological, ecological, and biological domains that are very important to many of life on land and in water, including humans (Beatley et al, 1994). The coastal area is also unique in terms of the economy because this region provides a space for human activities that generate substantial economic benefits (Ring-Sain and Knecht, 1998). In addition, the coastal region is a mosaic of ecosystems and resources are very diverse, so the coast is a strategic area for economic conditions and social welfare and development of the country (Ring-Sain and Knecht, 1998). \ud One of the important coastal areas that are economically and ecological coastal areas of Makassar. This area is a coastal area that is characterized by the use of diverse and related to one another. In this region there are economic activities based on natural resources such as fisheries, housing, ports and marine tourism. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the suitability of the land area of the coast of Makassar on an ongoing basis. \ud Analysis of land suitability in coastal areas of Makassar 9 directed to the development of allotment ie (i) settlement (ii) industrial (iii) aquaculture (iv) public port, (v) the beach ports, (vi) coastal tourism (vii) net cage aquaculture floating, (viii) the cultivation of seaweed and (ix) the conservation \ud The analysis is based on the limiting factors for each allotment in terms of biophysical aspects. This analysis is intended to assess the feasibility or suitability of land for development of the above allotment ninth. The results of the land suitability analysis grouped into four categories / classes, namely (i) is suitable (S1), (ii) appropriate (S2), (iii) the corresponding conditional (S3), and (iv) does not match (N). \ud Based on spatial analysis using geographic information systems (GIS) in a way tumpan stacking (overlay) land suitability results obtained for each of the following zoning. \ud Research Objectives \ud This study aims to: \ud 1. Analyze the suitability of land for the coastal areas of Makassar, residential areas, public ports, aquaculture, tourism beaches, conservation areas, seaweed farming, aquaculture net cages, coastal fishing ports and industrial areas. \ud 2.     Control of white stem borer Schirpophaga innotata Walker and earhead bug Leptocorisa oratorius Fabricius by using formulated Calotropis gigantea linn extract in rice field

    The data of article is part of S2 student researchWhite stem borer (WSB) and earhead bug (EHB) play an important role in reduction of productivity and quality on rice. To overcome the problem by high application of synthetic fungicide for managing these pests, the use of Calotropis gigantea extract is one of alternatives as environmentally friendly agent in control technology. On rice field non treated in span time of 33 days untill 97 days, the WSB population and their incidence was optimum respectively at 53 days and 57 days apter transplanting, while the optimum of EHB population and their incidence was respectively at 83 days and 87 days after transplanting. Through comparing to the control, treatment with leaves extract of C. gigantea formulated in form of powder applied through spraying with concentration of 10g/l, 20g/l and 30g/l at these optimum days reduced WSB population by respectively 54.2%, 66.7%, and 75.0% and WSB incidence by respectively 34.0%, 42.8%, and 51.7%. With same concentration as mentioned above, formulated C. gigantea reduced also EHB popolation by respectively 38.4%, 45.2%, and 63.0% and EHB incidence by respectively 40.3%, 50.7%, and 58,7%. These data demonstrated the efficacy of formulated C. gigantea in controlling rice pests of WSB and EHB

    -Electronic Voting is a vote and vote count in an election by using electronic devices. The purpose of electronic voting is to organize a vote with low cost and fast counting of votes using a secure system. First in South Sulawesi, Bantaeng District tried to apply village head elections by electronic voting system in 9 villages from 4 subdistricts. Then the unit of analysis in this research is the effectiveness of Electronic Voting System in the Village Head Election in Pa'jukukang Village Pa'jukukang District Bantaeng District. The type of research used by the authors in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are Interviews, observations and documents related to the research. Data analysis techniques in this study were conducted qualitatively. The results of this study explain that the Electronic Voting System in the Village Head Election in Pa'jukukang Village Pa'jukukang District Bantaeng District is quite effective

    Biosecurity became a big issue on laying hen farms after booming of Avian influenza which was caused by H5N1virus, and gender play an important role to do biosecurity practices. The aimed of this research was to know the role of gender toward biosecurity on laying hen farms. The results of this research showed that the role of gender toward biosecurity on laying hen farms majority was done mostly by men. Women play a role to help her husband in the stable since women have domestic job at home. Woman should be encouraged to increase their role toward biosecurity on laying hen and Government should provide facilities for training , extension, and access for credit
