In this paper we extend the concept of weakly polymatroidal ideals to monomial ideals which are not necessarily generated in one degree, and show that any ideal in this class has linear quotients. As an application we study some vertex cover ideals of weighted hypergraphs

Abstract. The present research aimed at investigating the impact of social media on organizationalperformance, cost reduction, customer relationship management, and accessibility to information in KermanMotor Company. The research method was a descriptive survey. The statistical population of this researchincludeed all Kerman engine staff and managers. The sample size was determined by using Cochran's formula of 207 people and a randomized sampling method was available as well. The research data were collected by using library and field method and the tools used in the questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha (0.891) and the validity of the tool was confirmed by content and structure. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using Lisrel software. The results of this research indicated that social media has a positive impact on customer relationship management, cost reduction, entrepreneurial activities, risk taking and innovative activities. Also, results indicated that social media has no significant effect on access to information. Keywords: In-Organizational Performance, Cost Reduction, Customer Relationship Management,Accessibility to Information

Clinical Evaluation Tool for Operating Room Students: Development and Measurement of Reliability and Validity

Introduction: In order to ensure the achievement of goals in clinical training, having the right tool with good reliability and validity is essential. Given the fact that no proper tool has ever been developed for evaluation of operating room students, this study aimed to develop and measure the validity and reliability of the evaluation tool for these students. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in 2014 in Birjand University of Medical Sciences. After defining the concepts and behaviors to be measured using interviews and review of relevant literatures, the primary tool was developed and its face validity and content validity were verified both qualitatively and quantitatively (using experts’ opinions, CVR, and CVI). The reliability was calculated through interclass reliability and Cronbach’s alpha. Results: The final tool consisted of 62 items in 7 different subscales (professional characteristics, communication, examining the patient, training patients and families, submitting reports, clients’ safety, and clinical competence). The content validity index of the whole questionnaire was 0.84 and content validity ratio for each item was reported 0.62 and higher. With a sample size of 28 students, Cronbach's alpha of the whole questionnaire was 0.82. Also, interclass reliability was 0.45. Conclusion: The results indicated that the developed tool has adequate reliability and validity and that it can be used as a tool for clinical evaluation of operating room students

Optimized designing of PID controller for variable speed wind turbine systems using PSO algorithm

The PID controller design is a very popular method for controlling industrial processes and due to its simple structure and effective operation; it is used in a wide range of industries. In this paper, a method is provided for setting up the PID controller and Particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to design a variable speed wind turbine system. The provided method has advantages such as easy implementation, stable convergence characteristics and high performance in computing. Finally the results are displayed

AbstractIntroduction: Moral distress is an important challenge among critical care nurses. psychological empowerment can pave the ground for proper moral performance and prevention of moral distress among nurses. This study aimed to predicting moral distress through the dimensions of psychological empowerment in nurses. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional and analytical study carried out in 2018. For this purpose, 190 nurses were selected by convenience sampling from the critical care units in Southern Khorasan Province, Iran. Data were collected using Corli's Moral Distress Questionnaire and Spreitzer's Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire. Data were analyzed in IBM SPSS ver. 16 using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Finding showed that moral distress intensity was (4.8±0.51) and negatively correlated whit psychological empowerment (P=0.03, r=-0.5). Moral distress frequency was (5.2± 0.56). The psychological empowerment was (4.1± 0.44). The results of the multiple regression indicated that 2 % variation of moral distress intensity explained by psychological empowerment (ADJ.R2:0.238). Among these dimensions, three dimensions meaning, competence and self-determination significantly predict the intensity of moral distress (R2=0.25, P< 0.05). Moral distress correlated with age, working experience, and type of the ward (P<0.05).Conclusions: Nurses with a greater psychological empowerment showed less intensified symptoms of distress where they were able to perform morally proper action

Non-attention to users’ needs can insert physiological and mental harms to them, so environmental psychological knowledge can be used to help and promote quality of academic environments. According to the researches, there are main problems in academic spaces such as lack of private spaces and not having sense of belonging in students. Hence, this research tries to notice “personal space” conception which is one of mentioned meanings in environmental psychology and studies effective factors on “academic spaces”. Therefore, based on theories review and under experts’ ideas were extracted effective factors as: physical, mental, personal, and social factors in desirability of private spaces. The methodology of this paper consists of a quantitative and qualitative approach to hypothesis testing. For data collection written resources and half-structured interview by experts of this field were used, which was first analyzed by content analysis method and then classified. Then in order to clarifying importance of elements it was used the survey research. The survey method has been adopted to study the key objective of the research and to assess the level of correlation between variables. The sampling population of this study consisted mainly of experts and specialists groups. The sample size was determined through statistical methods. In order to assess the individual's point of view, In-depth interviews were done with experts and specialists in the field of study. Questionnaires have been distributed among targeted respondents. By using factor analysis, main factors were identified and prioritized. Comparison of the results from the experts and users questionnaire shows that about the important effective factors they have the same opinions but in priorities of physical and mental factors they have different ideas

Given the introduction of information and communication technology and its rapid progress in every society, its use and application is different between various social institutions in that it demonstrates the difference between previous and present generation. Hence, the research was conducted in the school year 2012-2013 with the aim of applying information technology among female high school students and their mothers in Gorgan Province. The research method is a descriptive-analytical method; using a cluster sampling, of 34 female schools 8 schools were randomly chosen and 260 students were included in the study out of 1625 students. Using collected questionnaires and information obtained from independent t-test the results indicated that there was a significant difference between the mean of familiarity, interest and mothers' and their children's use of information technology. © Medwell Journals, 2016
