В результате работ, виды Achnanthes longiceps C. Agardh, Bacillaria socialis (Gregory) Ralfs, Berkeleya micans (Lyngbye) Grunow, Berkeleya obtusa (Greville) Grunow, Berkeleya sparsa Mizuna, Chamaepinnularia clamans (Hustedt) Witkowski, Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin, Cocconeis costata Gregory, Fallacia clepsidroides Witkowski, Fallacia florinae (M. Ehrenberg in 1843. Regarding to benthic diatom studies, marine diatoms are understudy comparing to freshwater diatoms. In this study, the samples were collected from one station in Akliman Bay, Sinop in December 2012. As a result, Achnanthes longiceps C. Agardh, Bacillaria socialis (Gregory) Ralfs, Berkeleya micans (Lyngbye) Grunow, Berkeleya obtusa (Greville) Grunow, Berkeleya sparsa Mizuna, Chamaepinnularia clamans (Hustedt) Witkowski, Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin, Cocconeis costata Gregory, Fallacia clepsidroides Witkowski, Fallacia florinae (M. A 57-year-old female patient with a family history of coronary artery diseaseadmitted to our hospital for the coronary check-up. A coronary angiographywas performed with ECG-gated 128 slice dual source computed tomography.Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) showed, in addition to the normalcoronary arteries, a persistent levoatrial cardinal vein (LCV) draining into vena cavasuperior. ECG-gated cardiac MDCT is a useful tool showing the origin, course, anddrainage site of LCV

Mechanical and Tribological Properties of TiN Coatings Produced by PIII&D Technique

The structure, mechanical and tribological properties TiN coatings рroduced with PIII&D by using rectilinear filtered vacuum arc plasma system are present. The results of scratch testing and wear reciprocating testing clearly revealed the positive effect of pulse bias (0.5÷2.5 kV) application on tribological behavior of the TiN coatings in comparison the coatings deposited with DC bias (150 V). Application of pulsed bias potential leads to a significant reduction in the friction coefficient and increasing of coatings wear resistance due to a change in their structure. The orientation of crystal planes parallel to the surface changes from (111) to (220) with the application of pulse bias, which is accompanied by a transition from fibrous grains structure to denser columnar grains. Reentrant Phase Transitions of the Blume-Emery-Griffiths Model for a Simple Cubic Lattice on the Cellular Automaton

The spin-1 Ising (BEG) model with the nearest-neighbour bilinear and biquadratic interactions and single-ion anisotropy is simulated on a cellular automaton which improved from the Creutz cellular automaton(CCA) for a simple cubic lattice. The simulations have been made for several sets of parameters K/JK/J and D/JD/J in the 3<D/J0-3<D/J\leq 0 and 1K/J0-1\leq K/J\leq 0 parameter regions. The re-entrant and double re-entrant phase transitions of the BEG model are determined from the temperature variations of the thermodynamic quantities (MM, QQ and χ\chi ). The phase diagrams characterizing phase transitions are compared with those obtained from other methods.Comment: 12 pages 7 figure

Strategies to Enhance Retention in a Cohort Study Among Adults of Turkish Descent Living in Berlin

Retention is important for statistical power and external validity in long-term cohort studies. The aims of our study were to evaluate different retention strategies within a cohort study of adults of Turkish descent in Berlin, Germany, and to compare participants and non-participants. In 2011-2012, a population-based study was conducted among adults of Turkish descent to primarily examine recruitment strategies. 6 years later, the participants were re-contacted and invited to complete a self-report questionnaire regarding their health status, health care utilization, and satisfaction with medical services. The retention strategy comprised letters in both German and Turkish, phone calls, and home visits (by bilingual staff). We calculated the response rate and retention rate, using definitions of the American Association for Public Opinion Research, as well as the relative retention rate for each level of contact. Associations of baseline recruitment strategy, sociodemographic, migration-related and health-related factors with retention were investigated by logistic regression analysis. Of 557 persons contacted, 249 (44.7%) completed the questionnaire. This was 50.1% of those whose contact information was available. The relative retention rate was lowest for phone calls (8.9%) and highest for home visits (18.4%). Participants were more often non-smokers and German citizens than non-participants. For all remaining factors, no association with retention was found. In this study, among adults of Turkish descent, the retention rate increased considerably with every additional level of contact. Implementation of comprehensive retention strategies provided by culturally matched study personnel may lead to higher validity and statistical power in studies on migrant health issues

Controlling the Fano interference in a plasmonic lattice

We analyze the influence of near-field coupling on the formation of collective plasmon modes in a multilayer metallic nanowire array. It is shown that the spectral interference between super- and subradiant normal modes results in characteristic line shape modifications which are directly controlled by the spacing as well as the alignment of the stacked lattice planes. Moreover, a distinct near-field-induced reversal of particle plasmon hybridization is reported. Our numerical findings are in excellent agreement with experimental results
