Considerando as principais características do bloco carnavalesco “O homem da meia noite”, figura central do carnaval de Olinda, em Pernambuco, e sua importância no cenário da festa, propomos demonstrar a mística e a manifestação plural do fenômeno religioso que envolve o bloco e o boneco gigante que desfilam pelas ruas de Olinda no Sábado de Carnaval. Para tanto, tratamos de analisar a origem do bloco e do boneco e as crenças que a eles estão ligadas, observando como estas práticas representam uma manifestação plural da religião, fenômeno importante para estudo muito além da folia carnavalesca, nos permitindo concluir a importância da figura do Homem da meia noite como uma representação da religiosidade do povo pernambucano

Based on the assumption that the character is linked to the group of sophists of that time, our goal is to identify Eros in his praise of Pródico, Protagoras, Lysias and Alcidamas' main thesis.O presente trabalho trata de analisar o discurso sobre o amor (Ἔρως) proferido por Pausânias, no Simpósio de Platão. Partindo do pressuposto de que a personagem é ligada ao grupo dos sofistas daquela época, nosso objetivo é identificar em seu elogio a Eros as influências das principais teses de Pródico, Protágoras, Lisias e Alcidamante

Desenvolvimento de nanopartículas para incremento do sinal de espectroscopia ftir salivar como fluido diagnóstico

The use of saliva as diagnostic fluid and disease monitoring in the medical and dental clinic can improve the quality of life indexes of the population with an earlier diagnosis and a monitoring of more frequent chronic diseases. The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR/FTIR) allows the identification of chemical compounds efficiently without the use of reagents. However, the intensification of components measured in the FTIR by nanoparticles may increase the diagnostic potential of saliva. The hypothesis of the present study is that silver nanoparticles may interact with specific components of the saliva promoting the increase in absorbance. The present work evaluated the effect of the Ag2O (silver oxide) nanoparticle in three concentrations (1mg/ml, 0,1mg/ml, 0,01mg/ml) in the profile of saliva spectroscopy. The Saliva of healthy patients in pure form or associated with Ag2O (n=4) was evaluated by means of FTIR spectroscopy between 4000-400cm-1 using a Vertex 70 (Bruker) apparatus. The Ag2O nanoparticle at the concentration 0.01mg/ml increased (P 0.05) increase the FTIR signal in the other salivary components. Thus, it was found that the application of Ag2O at the concentration of 0.01mg / ml associated with saliva can be used in diagnostic platforms that the vibrational mode 3067 cm-1 acts as salivary biomarker.FAPEMIG - Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas GeraisTrabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)A utilização da saliva como fluido diagnóstico e de monitoramento de doenças na clínica médica e odontológica pode melhorar os índices de qualidade de vida da população com um diagnóstico mais precoce e um monitoramento de doenças crônicas mais frequentes. A hipótese do presente estudo é que nanopartículas de prata podem interagir com componentes específicos da saliva promovendo aumento da sua absorbância. O presente trabalho avaliou o efeito da nanopartícula Ag2O (óxido de prata) em três concentrações (1mg/ml, 0,1mg/ml, 0,01mg/ml) no perfil da espectroscopia da saliva. A saliva de pacientes saudáveis de forma pura ou associada com Ag2O (n=4) foi avaliada por meio de espectroscopia FTIR entre 4000-400cm-1, usando um aparelho Vertex 70 (Bruker). A validade da exigência da capacitação técnico-operacional em licitações públicas

Este artigo trata da figura da capacitação técnico-operacional, prevista na Lei 8.666/93, como mecanismo de habilitação em processos licitatórios conduzidos pela Administração Pública, com enfoque em obras de engenharia. Analisa, em seu curso, à luz da doutrina e da jurisprudência – em especial dos Tribunais de Contas – as possibilidades e restrições de se exigir a experiência pretérita do licitante em serviços cujos escopos fazem parte do objeto da licitação como condição técnica sine qua non para sua participação em determinado certame. O trabalho traz à discussão os critérios e princípios da avaliação qualitativa dos atestados técnicos exigidos, usualmente, para comprovação da experiência anterior referida. Por fim, mostra que a tendência majoritária atual dos Tribunais – e do próprio legislador, com os novos marcos legais sobre o tema – é restringir, ao máximo, as possibilidades de exigência de experiência anterior como fator de habilitação técnica, em prol da competitividade entre os licitantes, na busca de maior eficiência da gestão pública.This article deals with the figure of the technical-operational qualification, provided for in Law 8.666/93, as a qualification mechanism in bidding processes conducted by the Public Administration, focusing on engineering works. It examines, in its course, based on the doctrine and jurisprudence - in particular of the Courts of Auditors - the possibilities - and restrictions - of requiring the past experience of the bidder in services whose scopes are part of the object of the bid as a technical condition sine qua non for their participation in a given event. The paper also discusses the criteria and principles for the qualitative evaluation of the technical certificates required, usually, to prove the previous experience. Finally, it shows that the current majoritarian tendency of the Courts - and of the legislator itself, with the new legal frameworks on the subject - is to restrict, as far as possible, the possibilities of requiring previous experience as a factor of technical habilitation, in favor of the competitiveness between the bidders, in the search for greater efficiency of public management

A Copa do Mundo FIFA 2022 e o flagelo da homofobia

Homophobia is an instrument of psycho-political domination that deprives subjects of their human condition through injury and deprivation - violation of dignity. It causes pain and suffering, it deprives the subject of the ability to act and to perceive himself as capable of existing in all spheres of life. In times of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, many questions emerge that affect individuals and institutions with regard to guarantees of rights and human dignity, especially in a country that criminalizes love between equals with imprisonment or even stoning. Homophobia kills. It has victimized people around the world and football culture has contributed to this sad reality. This essay reflects on how an institution as big as FIFA has dealt with this issue and how the nations that celebrate this mega event have faced the scourge of homophobia in the world of football.A homofobia é um instrumental de dominação psicopolítica que priva sujeitos de sua condição humana por meio da injúria e da violação da dignidade. Causa dor e sofrimento, aliena a pessoa da capacidade de agir e de se perceber como capaz de existir em todas as esferas da vida. Em tempos de Copa do Mundo FIFA 2022 no Qatar, emergem muitas questões que atingem sujeitos e instituições no tocante a garantias de direitos e da dignidade humana, sobretudo, em um país que criminaliza com prisão ou mesmo apedrejamento o amor entre iguais. A homofobia mata. Ela tem vitimado pessoas no mundo e a cultura do futebol tem contribuído para essa triste realidade. EVALUATION OF ASSORTMENTS CONSIDERING DIFFERENT STUMP AND PRE-BUCKING DISC HEIGHTS IN MECHANIZED HARVESTING OPERATIONS OF A Pinus taeda L. FOREST

This study aimed to evaluate assortments by adopting distinct stump heights and pre-bucking disc heights in the mechanized harvesting operations of a Pinus taeda L. forest, which is owned by a company located in Campo Belo do Sul (SC). To that end, the simulation of six scenarios was carried out after the forest’s clear-cutting. The scenario 1 includes the company's specifications. Scenario 2 includes the real situation, that is, the measurements made in sample units installed on the field and scenario 3 includes stump heights of 10 cm and pre-bucking disc heights of 5 cm. In the other scenarios, stump and pre-bucking disc heights with values higher than the ones specified by the company were included. Then, using a taper function, we calculated the assortments in tons per hectare (t ha-1) and monetary value per hectare (R$ha-1), considering the price of wood with bark (R$ t-1) for each assortment. Results show that Scenario 1 presented a larger amount of wood, however, Scenario 3 represented higher revenue due to the higher wood quantity of the value-added assortments. On the other hand, Scenario 6 presented the lowest amount of wood comparing to the others, and Scenario 2 presented the lowest economic return. All things considered, the company performs its activities below what is planned, but with production higher than the other evaluated scenarios. Regarding the economic return, the other scenarios are more feasible than Scenario 2, which shows that the company needs to seek process improvements with the implementation of another scenario that could bring better results
