    Influence of Instrumental Motivation and Integrative Motivation on English Learning Outcomes

    This research addresses students’ motivation in influncing learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to describe the students’ condition of motivation in learning English whether it tends to be integrative or instrumental and the extent to which their motivation in learning English may influence students’ learning outcome. This research was conducted based on principles of qualitative research. The researcher conducted an online interview to collect the data. The mid-term test grade are used as the learning outcome. Data gained in the interview and Mid-term test grade were compared and then analyzed it descriptively. Population of this study are students at grade nine. It is about 29 students in a class. The result performs that students in learning English were motivated by both instrumental and integrative motivation. That is motivation to have wider social contact with target language speakers and also motivation to utilize English as a tool to gain certain goals like good grade or future goals. Based on the findings, it is suggested that the teacher should able to motivate the students’ in learning through developing his/her teaching materials concerned with integrative and instrumental motivation to motivate students’ in learning Englis

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Menyimak Melalui Metode Top-Down Bottom-Up

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi Top-down Bottom up dalam pembelajaran menyimak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa Mandarin Universitas Ma Chung. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah analisis uji t dengan model Paired Sample T-Tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan strategi Top-down Bottom-up dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji pre-test diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 68.36, sedangkan hasil uji post-test diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 81.68. Dengan demikian terdapat selisih angka 13.32 antara pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji Paired Sample t-tes menunjukkan signifikansi sig- 0,001 sehingga kurang dari taraf siginikan 0,05. Artinya terdapat pengaruh positif pada penerapan strategi Top-down Bottom-up dalam pembelajaran menyimak

    DEVELOPMENT OF A SELF-DIRECTION GAME HANDBOOK TO IMPROVE INHIBITORY CONTROL FOR 10–12-YEAR-OLDS

    Elementary school-age children need increased inhibitory control to focus and put aside things that are not priorities. Inhibitory control helps children to stay focused, control behavior, think before they act, and manage emotions. However, efforts specifically to increase the ability of inhibitory control have not been made much. This study aims to develop a guidebook to improve inhibitory control in children aged 10-12 years through the game "Self-Steering". This research is development research with the following steps: First, conducting a needs analysis through teacher interviews and classroom observations. Second, planning the manufacture of products as a solution to research problems. Third, making the product. Fourth, testing the product through expert validation and limited trials. Fifth, improving the product based on suggestions for improvement at the product trial stage. The result of this study is a game guidebook containing 3 inhibitory control games that were declared feasible by expert validators. Based on the field trial results, this game guidebook is an interesting game guide to improve children's inhibitory control. Some things that need to be improved will be discussed further

    MANAJEMEN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN PEMBENTUKAN BINTARA POLWAN (STUDI PADA SEPOLWAN LEMDIKLAT POLRI)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen kurikulum pendidikan pembentukan Bintara Polisi Wanita di Sekolah Polisi Wanita Lemdiklat Polri mencakup perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, evaluasi serta hambatan dalam manajemen kurikulum. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan kurikulum dilaksanakan melalui rapat Pokja penyusunan kurikulum yang melibatkan Lemdiklat Polri, pembina fungsi, satuan pendidikan, dan tenaga ahli. Pengorganisasian kurikulum, dilaksanakan proses mengelompokkan dan menganalisis struktur, materi pelajaran, beban belajar serta lama jam pelajaran. Selain itu juga pengaturan SDM yang terkait dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum. Pelaksanaan kurikulum diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran yang terbagi dalam tiga tahap dan kegiatan pengasuhan. Evaluasi kurikulum yang dilaksanakan yaitu evaluasi hasil belajar peserta didik dan evaluasi kurikulum secara keseluruhan. Untuk penilaian peserta didik, ada tiga aspek penilaian yaitu akademik, mental kepribadian serta kesehatan dan kesamaptaan jasmani. Adapun bentuk evaluasi hasil belajar peserta didik dalam bentuk ujian tertulis, penugasan, pengamatan terhadap keaktifan peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran, penilaian diri, sosiometri dan catatan pendidik, pemeriksaan kesehatan dan tes kesamaptaan jasmani. Permasalahan dalam manajemen kurikulum antara lain waktu perencanaan yang kurang tepat, penyusunan kurikulum tidak menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan situasi kondisi yang terjadi di lapangan, kurangnya pengetahuan personel tentang pengembangan kurikulum, rumusan standar kompetensi lulusan dan kompetensi dasar belum mengakomodir materi pelajaran yang dibutuhkan seorang Bintara Polwan serta indikator hasil belajar yang masih bersifat teori dan luas, terdapat materi pelajaran yang belum terakomodir, bahan ajar yang kurang memberikan contoh sebenarnya yang terjadi di lapangan, terbatasnya kemampuan dan pengalaman pendidik dalam mengampu mata pelajaran Fungsi Teknis Kepolisian, masih terdapat pendidik yang belum memiliki sertikasi pendidik, fasilitas pendidikan dan alat pendukung kegiatan pembelajaran yang kurang memadai dan belum adanya pedoman penilaian kesehatan yang baku. The form of evaluating student learning outcomes in the form of written examinations, assignments, observations of student activity during the learning process, self-assessment, sociometry and educator notes, health checks and physical safety tests. Problems in curriculum management include inaccurate planning time, curriculum preparation does not adjust to the development of the conditions that occur in the field, lack of personnel knowledge about curriculum development, formulation of graduate competency standards and basic competencies that have not accommodated the subject matter needed by a NCO and indicators. learning outcomes that are still theoretical and broad, there are subject matter that has not been accommodated, teaching materials that do not provide actual examples of what is happening in the field, limited ability and experience of educators in teaching the Technical Functions of the Police, there are still educators who do not have educator certification, Inadequate educational facilities and supporting tools for learning activities and the absence of standard health assessment guidelines.     The outbreak of the Corona virus or Covid-19 in Indonesia since March 2020 has affected various aspects of life, especially education in Indonesia. One of the government's policies to suppress the spread of the Corona virus is to close school activities. Online learning is a solution to overcome the challenges of face-to-face learning. The Google Classroom application is an application created by Google specifically developed to support the implementation of online learning. The subjects of this study were 87 students of class 11th. The instrument used was a mathematics achievement test and a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative data analysis, where student learning outcomes achieve learning completeness of at least 70%. The results showed that 59.77% of students were very happy with the implementation of Google Classroom when learning Mathematics during the pandemic, and 56.32% of students felt happy when doing independent assignments given through Google Classroom. 56.32% of students feel interested in the mathematics learning process. 62.07% of students find it easy to apply the Google Classroom application in the Mathematics learning process. However, based on the results of several indicators, some students think that face-to-face learning is still very much needed. In addition, teachers are required to support the activities of their students to stay motivated to engage in online learning

    ABSTRACT Elderly is a condition characterized by a person's failure to maintain a balance against physiological stress conditions. Often the elderly and those around them cannot accept the changes and setbacks that occur so that it will cause problems for the elderly such as neglect. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age on the activity of the elderly at Integrated Healthcare Centerfor the elderly in Waung Village, Boyolangu District, Tulungagung Regency. This study uses an analytic study, the type of observational research with a case control design. The sample of this study was the elderly of Waung village, Boyolangu district, Tulungagung district in 2022 as many as 23 people. The research sample was taken using a non-probability sampling technique with total sampling type. The data obtained were then analyzed using the chi square test and the results obtained that the value of p = 0.078 means that it is not significant because it is more than 0.05. The conclusion of the research shows that there is no influence of the age of the elderly on the activity of participating in the Integrated Healthcare Center for the elderly in Waung Village

    Menstruation is a sign that young women have entered puberty. In the first year since menarche, young women often experience many disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship between irregular menstrual cycles and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in female students of SMPN 20 Gresik. Quantitative research method with cross sectional research design. The sample of this research was 60 students of SMPN 20 Gresik which were determined by purposive sampling method. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Analysis of the data using the chi-square test and the results obtained that the value of p = 0.001 so that p < α. The conclusion of the study showed that there was a correlation between irregular menstrual cycles and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in female students of SMPN 20 Gresik.     ABSTRAK Menstruasi merupakan salah satu tanda bahwa remaja putri telah masuk pada masa pubertas. Pada tahun pertama sejak menarche seringkali remaja putri mengalami banyak gangguan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan siklus menstruasi tidak teratur dengan kejadian dismenore pada siswi SMPN 20 Gresik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 60 siswi SMPN 20 Gresik yang ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuisioner. Data-data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square dan diperoleh hasil bahwa nilai p=0,001 sehingga p<α. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara siklus menstruasi tidak teratur dengan kejadian dismenore pada siswi SMPN 20 Gresik

    AKTIVITAS ANTIHIPERKOLESTEROLEMIA DARI YOGHURT UMBI GARUT (Maranta arundinacea Linn) DENGAN PERBEDAAN FORMULASI KULTUR BAKTERI (Antihypercholesterolemia Activity from Arrowroot (M. arundinacea Linn) Yoghurt with Different Bacterial Culture Formulation)

    Hypercholesterolaemia is one of the factors causing cardiovascular disease. An alternative to prevent hypercholesterolemia is by consuming arrowroot yoghurt which has ability as hypocholesterolemic probiotic. Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus fermentum is known to have hypocholesterolemic potency. The aim of this research is to get the appropriate  formulation of the culture to produce arrowroot yoghurt which can decrease total cholesterol level. Arrowroot is fermented using different lactic acid bacteria formula, comprising A (Lactobacillus plantarum : Lactobacillus fermentum), B (Lactobacillus plantarum), and C (Lactobacillus fermentum). Arrowroot yoghurt then evaluated with total of lactic acid, pH, lactic acid bacteria, organoleptic, and in vivo total cholesterol. The results showed that the best formula of arrowroot yoghurt using C culture based on total lactic acid, pH parameter, and total lactic acid bacteria. After the total cholesterol test, the results obtained that arrowroot yoghurt which fermented by Lactobacillus fermentum and positive control (simvastatin 0,18 mg/200 g body weight) can reduce total cholesterol levels with a decrease percentage of 30.36% and 27.13%. Therefore, arrowroot yoghurt which fermented by Lactobacillus fermentum had antihypercholesterolemic potency. Keywords: antihypercholesterolemia, arrowroot yoghurt, fermentation, probiotic bacteriaABSTRAKSalah satu faktor penyebab penyakit kardiovaskular adalah hiperkolesterolemia. Altenatif untuk mencegah hiperkolesterolemia adalah mengonsumsi yoghurt umbi garut probiotik hipokolesterolemik. Salah satu probiotik yang mempunyai potensi hipokolesterolemik adalah Lactobacillus plantarum dan Lactobacillus fermentum. Tujuan penelitian ini menentukan formulasi kultur yang tepat pada produksi bahan minuman probiotik dari umbi tanaman garut yang memiliki aktivitas menurunkan kadar kolesterol darah.  Umbi garut difermentasi menggunakan formulasi kultur yang berbeda, terdiri dari A (Lactobacillus plantarum: Lactobacillus fermentum), B (Lactobacillus plantarum), dan C (Lactobacillus fermentum). Yoghurt umbi garut dievaluasi total asam laktat, pH, total bakteri asam laktat, organoleptik, dan diuji penurunan kadar kolesterol total secara in vivo. Formula yoghurt umbi garut terbaik menggunakan kultur C (Lactobacillus fermentum) berdasarkan parameter nilai total asam laktat, pH, dan total bakteri asam laktat. Setelah dilakukan uji penurunan kadar kolesterol total, maka yoghurt umbi garut yang difermentasi oleh Lactobacillus fermentum dan kontrol positif (simvastatin 0,18 mg/200 g bobot badan) dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 30,36% dan 27,13%. Oleh karena itu, yoghurt umbi garut yang difermentasi oleh Lactobacillus fermentum berpotensi sebagai agen antihiperkolesterolemia.Kata kunci: antihiperkolesterolemia, bakteri probiotik, fermentasi, yoghurt umbi garu
