Line Positions and Intensities of the {\nu} Band of Methyl Iodide Using Mid-Infrared Optical Frequency Comb Fourier Transform Spectroscopy
We use optical frequency comb Fourier transform spectroscopy to measure
high-resolution spectra of iodomethane, CHI in the C-H stretch region from
2800 to 3160 cm. The fast-scanning Fourier transform spectrometer with
auto-balanced detection is based on a difference frequency generation comb with
repetition rate, f, of 125 MHz. A series of spectra with sample point
spacing equal to f are measured at different f settings and
interleaved to yield sampling point spacing of 11 MHz. Iodomethane is
introduced into a 76 m long multipass absorption cell by its vapor pressure at
room temperature. The measured spectrum contains three main ro-vibrational
features: the parallel vibrational overtone and combination bands centered
around 2850 cm, the symmetric stretch band centered at 2971
cm, and the asymmetric stretch band centered at 3060
cm. The spectra of the band and the nearby
+- hot band are simulated using PGOPHER and a new
assignment of these bands is presented. The resolved ro-vibrational structures
are used in a least square fit together with the microwave data to provide the
upper state parameters. We assign 2603 transitions to the band with
standard deviation (observed - calculated) of 0.00034 cm, and 831
transitions to the +- hot band with standard
deviation of 0.00084 cm. The hyperfine splittings due to the I
nuclear quadrupole moment are observed for transitions with J2xK.
Finally, intensities of 157 isolated transitions in the band are
reported for the first time using the Voigt line shape as a model in
multispectral fitting
An Empirical examination of the product variety management in Brazilian Bus Body Manufacturer
The main purpose of this paper is to understand how product variety is managed in practice. In this sense, it presents a panorama of the various aspects of product variety taken from the academic literature. Despite the importance of the theme, there are few studies related to PVM (Product variety management) and this paper is useful for academics interested in it. This paper is one of the first efforts to fulfill the gap in the literature regarding empirical studies related to PVM. The study is classified as explanatory and descriptive and offers a complete overview of how PVM is applied in the automotive industry. It shows that product variety management is an interdisciplinary issue, as the literature suggests, and that its effects can be perceived in all corporate areas in different ways. The data were collected in a limited way and can’t be generalized. It refers to a single firm in one industry in one country. Future studies should be developed in order to compare different business arena and countries.O principal objetivo deste artigo é entender como a variedade de produtos é gerenciada na prática. Broadband photoacoustic spectroscopy of 14CH4 with a high-power mid-infrared optical frequency comb
We report a photoacoustic spectroscopy setup with a high-power mid-infrared frequency comb as the light source. The setup is used in broadband spectroscopy of radiocarbon methane. Owing to the high sensitivity of a cantilever-enhanced photoacoustic cell and the high-power light source, we can reach a detection limit below 100 ppb in a broadband measurement with a sample volume of only a few milliliters. The first infrared spectrum of 14CH4 is reported and given a preliminary assignment. The results lay a foundation for the development of optical detection systems for radiocarbon methane. We report a photoacoustic spectroscopy setup with a high-power mid-infrared frequency comb as the light source.

Warehouse design: a systematic literature review
Abstract: This study proposes improving the understanding of the main aspects involved in the design of warehouses by the construction of a framework that reveals the state-of-art. The initial research bibliography generated a framework, which was structured in three dimensions: inputs; design and implementation; and outputs. The validation of framework was accomplished through a systematic review of the literature, covering 68 articles published in the period 1999- 2015. This study covered the main aspects highlighted in the academic literature that influence the design of warehouses. Additionally, an overview of the publications based on a theoretical/empirical and a quantitative/qualitative approach was pointed out. This paper aims to contribute to both industry and academic. On the one hand, the framework aggregates value for professionals by permitting the rapid identification of variables, which must be considered in warehouse design. On the other hand, by systematizing the warehouse design area, researchers are able to identify gaps that may generate future studies.

Synthesizing the connections between environmental disturbances and zoonotic spillover
Zoonotic spillover is a phenomenon characterized by the transfer of pathogens between different animal species. Most human emerging infectious diseases originate from non-human animals, and human-related environmental disturbances are the driving forces of the emergence of new human pathogens. Synthesizing the sequence of basic events involved in the emergence of new human pathogens is important for guiding the understanding, identifi cation, and description of key aspects of human activities that can be changed to prevent new outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics. This review synthesizes the connections between environmental disturbances and increased risk of spillover events based on the One Health perspective. Anthropogenic disturbances in the environment (e.g., deforestation, habitat fragmentation, biodiversity loss, wildlife exploitation) lead to changes in ecological niches, reduction of the dilution effect, increased contact between humans and other animals, changes in the incidence and load of pathogens in animal populations, and alterations in the abiotic factors of landscapes. These phenomena can increase the risk of spillover events and, potentially, facilitate new infectious disease outbreaks. Using Brazil as a study model, this review brings a discussion concerning anthropogenic activities in the Amazon region and their potential impacts on spillover risk and spread of emerging diseases in this region
