    Get PDF
Aluminium Alloy (LM4) reinforced with 1, 1.5, 2.5 and 5% of nano particle aluminium oxide (Al2O3) were fabricated by using stir casting method. The fabricated Aluminium-Aluminium oxide (Al-Al2O3) nanocomposite materials under three types are tested such as tensile and hardness test and the mechanical properties are determined. A microstructure was also conducted. Finally the analysis value and the experimental value are carried out using Ansys version 10.

A Review on Data Mining Techniques towards Various Intrusion Detection Systems in MANET

The computer network and its application over the various platforms has the tremendous growth. This exploits vulnerabilities over the network and it is very tough to solve the security issues. The vast number of intrusion over the network leads to failure of network. There are many IDS available for detecting the intrusion. This paper argues the various Data mining techniques available and how it helps to achieve the goal with higher accuracy on IDS. Also this paper discusses and compare with traditional approaches of DM practices on IDS. Also the paper tells the user about IDS and IPS for the network with data mining approaches and suggesting the user for selecting the preferable approach for finding the intrusion over the network effectively

Impact on loss/risk assessments of inter-model variability in vulnerability analysis

Fragility curves (FCs) constitute an emerging tool for the seismic risk assessment of all elements at risk. They express the probability of a structure being damaged beyond a specific damage state for a given seismic input motion parameter, incorporating the most important sources of uncertainties, that is, seismic demand, capacity and definition of damage states. Nevertheless, the implementation of FCs in loss/risk assessments introduces other important sources of uncertainty, related to the usually limited knowledge about the elements at risk (e.g., inventory, typology). In this paper, within a Bayesian framework, it is developed a general methodology to combine into a single model (Bayesian combined model, BCM) the information provided by multiple FC models, weighting them according to their credibility/ applicability, and independent past data. This combination enables to efficiently capture inter-model variability (IMV) and to propagate it into risk/loss assessments, allowing the treatment of a large spectrum of vulnerability-related uncertainties, usually neglected. As case study, FCs for shallow tunnels in alluvial deposits, when subjected to transversal seismic loading, are developed with two conventional procedures, based on a quasi-static numerical approach. Noteworthy, loss/risk assessments resulting from such conventional methods show significant unexpected differences. Conventional fragilities are then combined in a Bayesian framework, in which also probability values are treated as random variables, characterized by their probability density functions. The results show that BCM efficiently projects the whole variability of input models into risk/loss estimations. This demonstrates that BCM is a suitable framework to treat IMV in vulnerability assessments, in a straightforward and explicit manner

Phytochemical constituents, functional group identification and antimicrobial activity of ethanolic extract of Solanum nigrum were investigated. The phytochemical screening of the crude extract revealed the presence of alkaloids, reducing sugars, tannis, flavonoids, Phlobatannis, and steriods. The extract were subjected for identification of functional groups using infra red spectrophotometer, presence of C=O, C-H, C=C and CO were identified, these bonding structures are responsible for presence of alkyl groups, methyl groups, alcohols, ethers, esters, carboxylic acid and anhydrides. And the crude ethanolic extract of Solanum nigrum were assayed for in vitro antimicrobial activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria and they were also subjected for antifungal activity and the zone of inhibition were compared with control drug Penicillin and Nystatin. Staphylococcus aureus as the most sensitive strains exhibited maximum zone of inhibition about 25.7mm among gram positive organism tested. Escherichia coli exhibits 30.1mm zone than that of standard penicillin positive control. Trichophyton mentagrophytes exhibits maximum zone of inhibition of about 26.1mm among the tested fungal species

Densities and phase equilibria of hydrogen, propane and vegetable oil mixtures. Experimental data and thermodynamic modeling

    Get PDF
Heterogeneous catalytic gas-liquid reactions are intensified when carried out in the homogenous fluid phase by means of a supercritical co-solvent. For instance, supercritical propane is used to enhance yield in the hydrogenation of vegetable oils. Besides phase equilibrium knowledge, volumetric information is also needed to elucidate kinetic mechanisms and design continuous supercritical reactors. In this work, we report new experimental PvT data of the reactive mixture H2+sunflower oil+propane using the isochoric method. In addition, the phase equilibria and PvT data are modeled with the GCA and RK-PR equations of state, respectively. The isochoric method not only provides PvT information under the reaction conditions, but also the reactive system compressibility, key variable to attain enhanced transport properties in the supercritical reactors.Fil: Hegel, Pablo Ezequiel.
