Differential identities of finite dimensional algebras and polynomial growth of the codimensions

Let $A$ be a finite dimensional algebra over a field $F$ of characteristic zero. If $L$ is a Lie algebra acting on $A$ by derivations, then such an action determines an action of its universal enveloping algebra $U(L)$. In this case we say that $A$ is an algebra with derivation or an $L$-algebra. Here we study the differential $L$-identities of $A$ and the corresponding differential codimensions, $c_n^L (A)$, when $L$ is a finite dimensional semisimple Lie algebra. We give a complete characterization of the corresponding ideal of differential identities in case the sequence $c_n^L (A)$, $n=1,2,\dots$, is polynomially bounded. Along the way we determine up to PI-equivalence the only finite dimensional $L$-algebra of almost polynomial growth

Application Tool for Improvement of the Metrics of Unread and Unevaluated Teleconsultations of the Telehealth Center - HUUFMA

The Brazil Telehealth Networks Programme is a project that contributes to the quality of services provided by the Unified Health System (SUS), which offers conditions to promote Tele-assistance and Tele-education. In the area of tele-assistance, the Telehealth Centre of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Maranhão (NTS-HUUFMA) has built up Teleconsultation services, which provide communication tools to assist health professionals. The process of a teleconsultation starts with a question on the online platform and finishes with the response sent by a qualified health professional. Previously, monitoring of this task was done by using a digital spreadsheet. It was necessary to develop an application to monitor and manage the inactivated and unevaluated teleconsultations. Before the development of the system, the Telehealth Centre had around 25% of teleconsultations that were not responded to, and this number has decreased significantly since its deployment

ESTUDO DE CASO: SERVIÇO DE ATENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA AO IDOSO COM DIABETES TIPO II

O diabetes II é um problema de saúde relevante para a saúde pública e gera ao portador desse transtorno metabólico diversos problemas secundários e o agravamento desse problema crônico, quando não é devidamente tratado, causa ao paciente debilidade física e social.  Para a população idosa esses riscos são mais exacerbados e afetando a qualidade de vida desses pacientes direta ou indiretamente. Trata-se de estudo de caso; do qual, objetiva a melhora do Serviço de Atenção Farmacêutica em uma instituição filantrópica. Verificando, assim os motivos da não aderência e busca alternativas para a melhora da adesão do paciente a terapia. No estudo foi incluído pacientes idosos com ou acima de 65 anos, não preconizando o sexo e com o critério máximo de que ele tenha diabetes tipo II e que não consegue aderir terapêutica. Adotou metodologias existentes e pregadas na Assistência farmacêutica. Utilizando, assim, a método Dáder e Segmentação farmacêutica. Verificou-se que para o senhor M.M., 69 anos, a adesão necessita mais do que tudo da aceitação do paciente sobre a doença e, no caso do idoso, apoio familiar é importantíssimo, além de um acompanhamento farmacoterapeutico adequado e também foi percebido melhor aceitação após o inicio do acompanhamento pelo paciente

Efectos de un programa de prevención de la violencia en el noviazgo

Este estudo avaliou os efeitos de uma intervenção para prevenção à violência no namoro sobre intenções de enfrentamento a esse tipo de violência, dificuldades em regulação das emoções e endosso a normas tradicionais de papéis de gênero masculino. Participaram 45 adolescentes, alocados não randomicamente em um grupo experimental (N = 21) e um grupo controle (N = 24). A intervenção compreendeu nove sessões focadas em informações sobre violência no namoro, habilidades sociais, tomada de decisão, papéis de gênero, direitos sexuais e reprodutivos e empoderamento. Análises intra e entre grupos revelaram redução significativa em crenças que apoiam a restrição emocional como característica masculina no grupo experimental, ao passo que intenções de enfrentamento à violência no namoro e regulação emocional não sofreram mudanças significativas em nenhum dos grupos. Contudo, avaliações qualitativas evidenciaram a prática extrassessão de habilidades de autocontrole e expressão emocional, assertividade e empatia. Novos estudos, principalmente longitudinais, são recomendados para elucidar esses resultados.This study evaluated the effects of a dating violence prevention intervention on intentions of coping with this type of violence, difficulties in regulating emotions and endorsement of traditional male gender norms. There were 45 adolescent participants, not randomly placed in an experimental group (N = 21) and a control group (N = 24). The intervention encompassed nine sessions focused on information about dating violence, social skills, decision making, sexual and reproductive rights, and empowerment. Analyses intra and between groups had shown significant reduction in beliefs that supported emotional restriction as a masculinity characteristic in the experimental group, whereas the intentions of coping with dating violence and emotional regulation had not suffered significant changes in any of the Groups. However, qualitative evaluations had evidenced the external practice of self-control and emotional expression skills, assertiveness and empathy. New studies, mainly longitudinal, are recommended to elucidate these results.Este estudio evaluó los efectos de una intervención para la prevención a la violencia en el noviazgo sobre cómo hacer frente a tales intenciones de violencia, dificultades en la regulación de las emociones y aprobación de normas tradicionales de roles de género masculino. Participaron 45 adolescentes, no asignados no aleatoriamente en un grupo experimental (N = 21) y un grupo de control (N = 24). La intervención consistió en nueve sesiones que se centraron en información sobre violencia en el noviazgo, habilidades sociales, toma de decisiones, roles de género, derechos sexuales y reproductivos y en la potenciación. Análisis intra y entre grupos revelaron una reducción significativa en las creencias que apoyan la restricción emocional como característica masculina en el grupo experimental, mientras que las intenciones de enfrentamiento a la violencia en el noviazgo y la regulación emocional no sufrieron cambios significativos en ninguno de los grupos. Pese a eso, las evaluaciones cualitativas mostraron la práctica externa al período de las sesiones de habilidades de autocontrol y expresión emocional, asertividad y empatía. Son recomendados nuevos estudios, principalmente longitudinales, para esclarecer estos resultados

Heavy Metal Poisoning in a Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus)

Background: In recent decades the demand for unconventional pets has been relatively increasing, a situation that increasingly causes veterinarians to encounter these animals in medical and surgical practice. Of these animals, the birds stand out. Animals of the order Psittaciform are known as very curious and active creatures that have the tendency to chew objectsin their environment. Among the several occurrences that lead this animal to attend the veterinary clinic, we highlight the poisoning by heavy metals, especially lead poisoning (Pb) and zinc (Zn). The objective of this work was to report a case of heavy metal intoxication in cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus).Case: A cockatiel was taken to the veterinarian with a history of apathy, motor incoordination, exacerbated water consumption and regurgitation. Complete anamnesis was instrumental in directing suspected heavy metal intoxication. Radiopaque particles were visualized through radiographic examination, suggesting heavy metal intoxication. The diagnosis wasconcluded through complementary examinations since the clinical symptoms are nonspecific. The treatment was intended to provide emergency intervention, avoid further absorption, use of antidotes, provide supportive measures and provide guidance to the owner. It can be concluded that the diagnosis and treatment were successful.Discussion: Metal poisoning can kill birds. The veterinarian should always seek the literature in order to perform the best support and treatment. For this, detailed history and detailed medical history must be taken into account, since the time of ingestion and the type of metal interfere with the therapeutic conduct. The use of imaging tests such as x-rays andultrasound are essential to assist the clinician, especially in cases where the tutor does not know whether or not the animal has ingested an object. In the radiographic examination, the heavy metal has the characteristic of having high radiopacity, which was evidenced in the case in question. Radiographic positions should be considered in order to avoid false negatives. In the literature, the treatment of chelation therapy is prioritized to remove the circulating heavy metal and thus act on the cause of the problem. In the case in question calcium EDTA was used intramuscularly, which showed clinical improvement in the animal after the second application. Calcium EDTA binds to metals and facilitates their transport and excretion. The use of fluid therapy is necessary as a supportive treatment to prevent kidney damage, since heavy metals are highlyharmful to nephrons. Especially in cases where the animal stops feeding and ingesting water. The use of antibiotics is essential because in many cases the animal, in addition to not feeding, becomes prone to infections due to metal toxicity, therefore, prophylactic use is essential for a better prognosis. In the case in question, the use of enrofloxacin was effective,as reported in the literature. It is recommended that the diagnosis of serum lead and zinc dosage should be made, however, due to the difficulties of obtaining the samples, and since other metals may also cause intoxication, in the case in question the treatment was started without these results. According to the results obtained in this work, the treatment described in the literature is effective and can be performed immediately to save animal life without subsequent sequelae.Keywords: bird, lead, zinc, calcium EDTA

Projetos de Poços: um Estudo de Caso na Bacia Sergipe-Alagoas

A exploração de petróleo tem atingido regiões cada vez mais profundas, fazendo-se necessária a realização de um estudo aprofundado de geopressões para se evitar problemas durante a perfuração de um poço. Assim, o trabalho apresentado em tela faz uma comparação das geopressões na bacia Sergipe-Alagoas, utilizando correlações empíricas calibradas para o Golfo do México com o que foi medido durante a perfuração. Para o estudo das pressões de subsuperfície foram utilizados dados de dois poços fornecidos pela Empresa Z, sendo calculados os gradientes de pressão de sobrecarga, poros e fratura. Os resultados foram comparados com os dados da perfilagem e Repeated Formation Test. Foi observado que algumas equações precisam de um ajuste fino e outras, de ajustes mais rigorosos. Com isso, este estudo pretende fomentar outras discussões que possibilitem a construção de pesquisas acerca da calibração das constantes relacionadas à bacia Sergipe-Alagoas

O Mundo das Cores, uma Abordagem Diferenciada no Ensino de Química

Na esperança de tornar as aulas de Química mais dinâmicas e descontraídas, diversas técnicas estão sendo utilizadas como artifício para auxiliar a prática docente. O uso de temas e da contextualização dentro do âmbito escolar tem se mostrado uma técnica de ensino-aprendizagem eficiente na formação dos discentes. Dessa forma, foi elaborada uma aula com o tema ‘mundo das cores’ com o objetivo de levar aos alunos alguns conhecimentos da teoria quântica associados à percepção visual que sem tem das cores, suas aplicações e subdivisões. Sendo assim a realidade vivida pelos alunos adentra a sala de aula e um aprendizado significativo é concebido
