O uso dos modelos na educação: contribuições para o estudo da sexualidade

    Get PDF

LekLink - Scheduling Lecture Links and Lecture Capture for Academics

    Get PDF
This paper discusses the development of a lecture link and content management system that enables more specific lecture content and link management functionalities. With this software, every user can easily access their lecture links and information. The MERN stack was utilized in the creation of this system. Under the MERN Stack, we used Express.js for the back end, React.js for the front end, MongoDB as the database system, and Node.js as the testing environment for the local system development. With the assistance of Rest APIs and services, we have created the following application with enhanced performance and user interfaces that facilitate interaction with the system. The user is not required to create a separate meeting connection for material distribution in this system. As a result of implementing a service with API access points for generating lecture links, it is possible to handle everything with only a few clicks. Additionally, users can manage their recorded lecture materials using this system. With the suggested approach, any academic institution can easily manage its content

Do Texto Ao Contexto: O Programa Ensino Médio Inovador Em Movimento

This article provides an analysis of an educational policy based on the production of its referential texts. For this aim, the theoretical reflections of S. Ball on the Policy Cycle Approach are used. A recent educational policy, the Programa Ensino Médio Inovador (Innovative Middle School Program) - ProEMI, is studied in face of the documents produced in a short period of time as well as the intentions of the Program of bringing about changes in the High Secondary School curricular organization. The analysis points to a hypothesis that the alterations in the documents result, at least in part, from a process of accommodation between what is prescribed by the government agency and the conditions for the implementation of the Program as well as the breadth of the universe of interlocutors involved.249391093

Acute exercise performed close to the anaerobic threshold improves cognitive performance in elderly females

The objective of the present study was to compare the effect of acute exercise performed at different intensities in relation to the anaerobic threshold (AT) on abilities requiring control of executive functions or alertness in physically active elderly females. Forty-eight physically active elderly females (63.8 ± 4.6 years old) were assigned to one of four groups by drawing lots: control group without exercise or trial groups with exercise performed at 60, 90, or 110% of AT (watts) and submitted to 5 cognitive tests before and after exercise. Following cognitive pretesting, an incremental cycle ergometer test was conducted to determine AT using a fixed blood lactate concentration of 3.5 mmol/L as cutoff. Acute exercise executed at 90% of AT resulted in significant (P < 0.05, ANOVA) improvement in the performance of executive functions when compared to control in 3 of 5 tests (verbal fluency, Tower of Hanoi test (number of movements), and Trail Making test B). Exercising at 60% of AT did not improve results of any tests for executive functions, whereas exercise executed at 110% of AT only improved the performance in one of these tests (verbal fluency) compared to control. Women from all trial groups exhibited a remarkable reduction in the Simple Response Time (alertness) test (P = 0.001). Thus, physical exercise performed close to AT is more effective to improve cognitive processing of older women even if conducted acutely, and using a customized exercise prescription based on the anaerobic threshold should optimize the beneficial effects

Rehydration behaviour of spray-dried micellar casein concentrates produced using microfiltration of skim milk at cold or warm temperatures

peer-reviewedMicrofiltration (MF) of skim milk, when combined with diafiltration (DF), facilitates the manufacture of liquid micellar casein concentrate (MCC), which can be spray-dried into high-protein (≥80% protein, dry-basis) powders. MCC powders rehydrate slowly, which is typically considered a defect by end-users. This study compared the impact of cold (<10 °C) or warm (50 °C) MF/DF on the rehydration characteristics of MCC powders (MCCcold and MCCwarm, respectively). The wetting properties of the MCC powders, measured using optical tensiometry, were found to be equivalent. However, pronounced differences in dispersion characteristics were measured, and, after 90 min rehydration at 50 °C, liberated casein micelles accounted for only 7.5% of total particle volume in MCCwarm compared with 48% in MCCcold. Due to its superior dispersion characteristics, MCCcold yielded 50–60% less sediment during analytical centrifugation experiments. Cold MF/DF may improve the solubility of MCC powders by accelerating the release of casein micelles from powder particles during rehydration
