    Mujeres emprendedoras en internet: una revisión de la literatura

    Los estudios sobre emprendimiento desde la perspectiva de género, es un ámbito que ha ido incrementado en los últimos años, la evidencia que más del 50% de la población mundial son mujeres pero que ellas son propietarias y gestionan una proporción de negocios muy inferior que los hombres y que existen diferentes estilos de gestión según el género, han impulsado el estudio de variables explicativas de las características distintivas entre hombres y mujeres en el ámbito del emprendimiento. El objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica, es presentar un análisis de la literatura que refleja el interés de mujeres empresarias en Internet. La revisión se basa en investigaciones académicas publicadas sobre el tema, y se complementa con un resumen de la literatura "gris", basada en las fuentes encontradas en Internet. Consideramos que existe una clara necesidad de revisar la literatura existente para conocer el caso de las mujeres que han establecido un negocio en Internet, y para indicar una nueva dirección de futuros estudios, y concluimos que existe una escasez de la investigación académica en el área, una clara falta de conocimiento acumulado junto a teorías y propuestas explicativas

    Characterization of honeys from west and south Buenos Aires province, Argentina

    Pollen analyses were carried out on 33 honey samples from Espinal, Monte de Llanuras y Mesetas and Pampeana phytogeographical Provinces, collected during the 2000-2001 period. Sample processing as well as qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed according to standard techniques. Sixty-seven morphological pollen types were identified. The association of Eucalyptus sp. (E. camaldulensis Dehnh., E. viminalis Labill.), Centaurea sp. (C. solstitialis L., C. calcitrapa L.) and Diplotaxis tenuifolia DC. characterized these honeys. Twelve samples were unifloral: six from Eucalyptus sp., five from Helianthus annuus L., and one from Brassicaceae. Asteraceae and Fabaceae were the most representative botanical families

    A Melissopalynological map of the south and southwest of the Buenos Aires province, Argentina

    El objetivo de este trabajo fue elaborar un mapa melitopalinológico del sur y sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, con datos de análisis polínicos de 127 muestras de miel provenientes de las eco-regiones Pampa, Distrito del Caldén en el Espinal, y Monte de Llanuras y Mesetas, recolectadas en el período 1992-2002. Utilizando análisis de componentes principales y de cluster, los partidos se agruparon en cinco regiones: I (Tres Arroyos, San Cayetano, Coronel Pringles y Coronel Dorrego), II (Guaminí, Saavedra, Coronel Suárez y Adolfo Alsina), III (Coronel Rosales, Monte Hermoso, Bahía Blanca y Villarino), IV (Patagones y Tornquist) y V (Puán). En las Regiones I, III y IV el 80% de las muestras fueron monoflorales. La Región I se caracterizó por la presencia de un 50% de mieles de Helianthus annuus y de un 10% de mieles de trébol; la Región III por 60% de mieles de Eucalyptus sp.; y la Región IV por 30% de mieles de Diplotaxis tenuifolia. En las Regiones II y V el 50% de las mieles fueron monoflorales: la Región II se distinguió por la presencia de 50% de mieles de H. annuus y la Región V por 15% de mieles de Larrea divaricata y 15% de mieles de Vicia sp. Las mieles multiflorales de la Región V se destacaron por la presencia de pólen de Condalia microphylla. La mayor diversidad de tipos polínicos correspondió a las familias Fabaceae y Asteraceae. La asociación de Eucalyptus sp., Centaurea sp. y Diplotaxis tenuifolia caracterizó a las mieles de las cinco regiones. La variabilidad natural de las muestras de miel hace muy difícil definir límites precisos entre las diferentes regiones.The aim of this work was to produce a melissopalynological map of the south and southwest of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, using pollen analysis data pertaining to 127 honey samples from the Pampa, Espinal (the Calden District), and Monte de Llanuras y Mesetas ecoregions, collected over the period 1992-2002. Using principal components and hierarchical cluster analysis, the different districts were grouped into five regions: I (Tres Arroyos, San Cayetano, Coronel Pringles and Coronel Dorrego), II (Guaminí, Saavedra, Coronel Suárez and Adolfo Alsina), III (Coronel Rosales, Monte Hermoso, Bahía Blanca and Villarino), IV (Patagones and Tornquist), and V (Puán). In Regions I, III and IV, 80% of honey samples were monofloral: Region I was characterized by the presence of 50% Helianthus annuus honeys and 10% clover honeys, Region III by 65% Eucalyptus sp. honeys, and Region IV by 30% Diplotaxis tenuifolia honeys. In Regions II and V, 50% of honeys were monofloral. Region II was distinguished by the presence of 50% H. annuus honeys, and Region V by 15% Larrea divaricata and 15% Vicia sp. honeys. The multifloral honeys of Region V included samples containing Condalia microphylla pollen. The families Fabaceae and Asteraceae provided the greatest diversity of pollen types. The association of Eucalyptus sp., Centaurea sp., and Diplotaxis tenuifolia characterised the honeys from all five regions. The natural variability of honey samples renders it very difficult to define the boundaries between the different regions

    Quarks are color charged particles. Due to their motion there is a strong possibility of generation of color magnetic field. It is shown that however hadrons are color singlet particles they may have non-zero color magnetic moment. Due to this color magnetic moment hadrons can show color interaction.     Diarrhea and parasitosis in Salta, Argentina

    Background: Salta city is the capital of the province with the same name located in the northwest of Argentina. Its great growth over the last decade was not organized and the population expanded to occupy places where water and sanitation were not yet available. Although the Arenales River, crossing the city, receives the impact of point and non-point source pollution, the water is used for many purposes, including domestic in the poorest areas, industrial, and recreational with children as the main users. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 24% of the global disease burden and 23% of all deaths can be attributed to environmental factors. In particular, an estimated 94% of the diarrheal burden of disease is attributable to environment, and is associated with risk factors such as unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation and hygiene. Chronic diarrhea can be caused by an infection or other etiologies; however, most of the times the etiological agent is not identified. Methodology: All the cases of diarrhea and parasitosis reported during 2005 in four public health centers of the city of Salta were classified by gender and age, analyzed, and represented geographically to show areas of higher morbidity rates, which were probably related to environmental factors. Results: Water, poor sanitation, and pollution are candidate risk factors. Diarrhea cases showed seasonality, with the highest incidence during late spring and summer, while parasitosis was persistent throughout the year. Conclusion: Our spatial analysis permitted us to detect the regions of higher incidence of diarrhea and parasitosis during 2005 in the area of study.Fil: Aramayo, Cristian Fabian.     The structural basis of Cdc7-Dbf4 kinase dependent targeting and phosphorylation of the MCM2-7 double hexamer

    The controlled assembly of replication forks is critical for genome stability. The Dbf4-dependent Cdc7 kinase (DDK) initiates replisome assembly by phosphorylating the MCM2-7 replicative helicase at the N-terminal tails of Mcm2, Mcm4 and Mcm6. At present, it remains poorly understood how DDK docks onto the helicase and how the kinase targets distal Mcm subunits for phosphorylation. Using cryo-electron microscopy and biochemical analysis we discovered that an interaction between the HBRCT domain of Dbf4 with Mcm2 serves as an anchoring point, which supports binding of DDK across the MCM2-7 double-hexamer interface and phosphorylation of Mcm4 on the opposite hexamer. Moreover, a rotation of DDK along its anchoring point allows phosphorylation of Mcm2 and Mcm6. In summary, our work provides fundamental insights into DDK structure, control and selective activation of the MCM2-7 helicase during DNA replication. Importantly, these insights can be exploited for development of novel DDK inhibitors

    Mieles de la región periserrana del Sistema de Ventania, Argentina

    Las características de una miel están estrechamente relacionadas con su origen botánico y geográfico. Veintidós muestras de miel correspondientes a la cosecha 1996-97, provenientes de la región de llanura que cir-cunda al cordón de las sierras australes de la provincia de Buenos Aires, denominado Sistema de Ventania, fueron analizadas para estudiar sus características polínicas y fisico-químicas. Se identificaron 44 tipos morfológi-cos de polen que fueron determinados a nivel del taxón más próximo. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que 15 muestras fueron monoflorales, siendo 12 de Eucalyptus sp. (E. camaldulensis, E. viminalis) y tres de Diplotaxis tenuifolia, en tanto que las siete muestras restantes fueron de origen floral mixto. Las familias más representadas fueron: Asteraceac, Brassicaceae, Chenopodiaceae-Amaranthaceae, Fabaceae, Myrtaceac y Poacea

    Rapid molecular evolution of Spiroplasma symbionts of Drosophila

    Spiroplasma is a genus of Mollicutes whose members include plant pathogens, insect pathogens and endosymbionts of animals. Spiroplasma phenotypes have been repeatedly observed to be spontaneously lost in Drosophila cultures, and several studies have documented a high genomic turnover in Spiroplasma symbionts and plant pathogens. These observations suggest that Spiroplasma evolves quickly in comparison to other insect symbionts. Here, we systematically assess evolutionary rates and patterns of Spiroplasma poulsonii , a natural symbiont of Drosophila. We analysed genomic evolution of sHy within flies, and sMel within in vitro culture over several years. We observed that S. poulsonii substitution rates are among the highest reported for any bacteria, and around two orders of magnitude higher compared with other inherited arthropod endosymbionts. The absence of mismatch repair loci mutS and mutL is conserved across Spiroplasma , and likely contributes to elevated substitution rates. Further, the closely related strains sMel and sHy (>99.5 % sequence identity in shared loci) show extensive structural genomic differences, which potentially indicates a higher degree of host adaptation in sHy, a protective symbiont of Drosophila hydei. Finally, comparison across diverse Spiroplasma lineages confirms previous reports of dynamic evolution of toxins, and identifies loci similar to the male-killing toxin Spaid in several Spiroplasma lineages and other endosymbionts. Overall, our results highlight the peculiar nature of Spiroplasma genome evolution, which may explain unusual features of its evolutionary ecology

    Synaptic vesicles contain small ribonucleic acids (sRNAs) including transfer RNA fragments (trfRNA) and microRNAs (miRNA)

    Synaptic vesicles (SVs) are neuronal presynaptic organelles that load and release neurotransmitter at chemical synapses. In addition to classic neurotransmitters, we have found that synaptic vesicles isolated from the electric organ of Torpedo californica, a model cholinergic synapse, contain small ribonucleic acids (sRNAs), primarily the 5′ ends of transfer RNAs (tRNAs) termed tRNA fragments (trfRNAs). To test the evolutionary conservation of SV sRNAs we examined isolated SVs from the mouse central nervous system (CNS). We found abundant levels of sRNAs in mouse SVs, including trfRNAs and micro RNAs (miRNAs) known to be involved in transcriptional and translational regulation. This discovery suggests that, in addition to inducing changes in local dendritic excitability through the release of neurotransmitters, SVs may, through the release of specific trfRNAs and miRNAs, directly regulate local protein synthesis. We believe these findings have broad implications for the study of chemical synaptic transmission
