    Predicting Flood Vulnerable Areas by Using Satellite Remote Sensing Images in Kumamoto City - Japan

    Flood is a natural disaster that occurs almost every year in Japan. Based on the flood record, it occurs during the rainy season around July each year. The aim of this research is to predict areas vulnerable to flood. The current research location is the Shiragawa watershed. This study was carried out using DEMs data, ALOS AVNIR-2 and Amedas data to produce watershed area, vegetation index, land cover map and isohyet map. DEM data with spatial resolution of 10 meters was derived from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) in order to show the watershed. The AVNIR-2 imagery was used to create the land cover map and the vegetation index. The land cover map was created by unsupervised method then verified by using land cover map of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI). Vegetation index was created by using Normalize Vegetation Index (NDVI) algorithm. The isohyet was obtained using data from rain gauges stationed in Kumamoto Prefecture then interpolating by applying the kriging method. All spatial data was overlaid to create the flood vulnerability map by using Geographic Information System (GIS). This study combines all the data to predict vulnerable areas of flood. The result indicates that the flood occurs in the middle part of Shiragawa watershed

    ANALISIS LEARNING PROGRESSION SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN LISTRIK DAN MAGNET DENGAN MODEL CONSTRUCTIVIST TEACHING SEQUENCES (CTS)

    Pemahaman siswa mengenai fenomena fisik yang berkaitan dengan suatu konsep, dapat diidentifikasi melalui analisis model mental yang dimilikinya. Dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran, perubahan model mental siswa merupakan indikator yang baik untuk mengetahui kemajuan belajar dan perubahan konseptual, termasuk dalam pembelajaran listrik dan magnet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran listrik dan magnet guna memperoleh: 1) gambaran tentang profil model mental siswa pada awal pembelajaran listrik dan magnet, 2) pemetaan learning progression siswa dari model mental menuju model ilmiah pada pembelajaran listrik dan magnet, dan 3) pola conceptual change siswa pada pembelajaran listrik dan magnet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian mixed methods dengan disain paralel konvergen yang mengumpulkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara simultan dan berurutan. Data dikumpulkan pada semua tahapan pembelajaran (sebelum pelajaran, selama pelajaran dan setelah pelajaran) berdasarkan tanggapan tertulis siswa dan wawancara individu. Pembelajaran dirancang untuk memfasilitasi perubahan konseptual siswa yang memungkinkan siswa dapat mengemukakan ide-idenya berdasarkan fenomena yang diamatinya. Perubahan ide siswa dalam setiap tahap pembelajaran diidentifikasi dan dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Distribusi siswa yang menggunakan dasar intuisi pada pembelajaran magnet dua kali lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan pada pembelajaran listrik; 2) Kecenderungan learning progression siswa setelah melalui proses fasilitasi pemikiran oleh guru relatif lebih baik, yang ditunjukkan oleh besarnya proporsi siswa yang memiliki konsep yang lebih ilmiah, yakni di atas 50% untuk semua konsep pada akhir pembelajaran listrik dan magnet; dan 3) Distribusi siswa yang mengikuti pola merevisi konsep awalnya pada pembelajaran tentang listrik menurun secara gradual, sedangkan pada pembelajaran tentang magnet cenderung lebih acak, dengan capaian level conceptual change yang lebih variatif. The students' understanding of the physical phenomena associated with a concept, can be identified through the analysis of their mental models. In a learning process, changes in students' mental models is a good indicator to determine the progress of learning and conceptual change, including in electricity and magnetism learning. This study aimed to analyze the cognitive development of students in the study of electricity and magnetism to obtain: 1) an overview of the profile of mental models of students at the beginning of the learning electricity and magnetism, 2) mapping learning progression of students of mental models to the scientific model on learning electricity and magnetism, and 3) patterns of conceptual change in the students' learning of electricity and magnetism. This study uses mixed methods research design with parallel convergent that collecting quantitative and qualitative data simultaneously and sequentially. Data collected at all stages of the study (prior to the lesson, during the lesson and after the lesson) based on written responses of students and individual interviews. Learning is designed to facilitate students' conceptual changes that allow students to put forward its ideas based on the phenomenon observed. Changes in students' ideas at every stage of learning are identified and analyzed. The results of this study show that: 1) Distribution of students who use the basic intuition on magnet learning twice smaller than the electric learning; 2) The tendency of students after learning progression through the facilitation process of thinking by teachers are relatively better, as demonstrated by the large proportion of students who have a more scientific concept, which is above 50% for all at the end of the learning concepts of electricity and magnetism; and 3) Distribution of students who follow the pattern of revising its initial concept in electricity learning decreased gradually, whereas in magnetims learning tend to be more random, with performance levels more varied conceptual change.     Early production of the passive in two Eastern Bantu languages

    The passive construction is acquired relatively late by children learning to speak many languages, with verbal passives not fully acquired till age 6 in English. In other languages it appears earlier, around age 3 or before. Use of passive construction in young children was examined in two Eastern Bantu languages spoken in Kenya (Kiswahili and Kigiriama), both with frequent use of passive. The passive was used productively very early (2;1) in these languages, regardless of the method used to measure productivity. In addition non-actional passives, particularly rare in English and some other European languages, were seen at these early ages. The proportion of verbs that were passive varied between individuals, both in children's speech and in the input to children. Pragmatic and grammatical features of the passive in some languages have previously been suggested to drive early passive acquisition, but these features are not found consistently in the two languages studied here. Findings suggest that the relatively high frequency of input found in these languages is the most plausible reason for early productive use of the passive

    UKM Gapura experiences problems in fluctuating prices for apples, resulting in a sense of distrust between partners, as well as supply chain channels that are sometimes unstable. The objectives of the research are 1) To determine the flow of products, the flow of money, the flow of information in the UKM Gapura apple chips supply chain. 2) Analyze the partnership system in the UKM Gapura apple chips supply chain. 3) Analyze the performance of UKM Gapura's apple chips supply chain. Sampling was taken using the "snowball sampling" method. Analysis of performance levels using the Delivery Performance analysis approach using the Scheduled Order to Customer Request (SOCR) method calculation. The results of the research show 1) The flow of products moves from suppliers to UKM Gapura and then flows to the Surabaya Souvenir Center and the Selecta Souvenir Center, the flow of money has a direction inversely proportional to the flow of products, while the flow of information flows in two directions. 2) The partnership system used between suppliers and UKM Gapura is general trade and the UKM Gapura partnership with the Selecta Souvenir Center and Surabaya Souvenir Center is general trade partnership. 3) The partnership performance of all parties on average feels trust, has good commitment, often shares information and is satisfied with the performance of their partners and the performance based on the SOCR of each partner has very good criteria

    Dampak dari pencemaran industri mebel dapat mengganggu kesehatan pekerja dan pencemaran udara. Bahan pencemar tersebut berasal dari debu yang dihasilkan dari proses pengampelasan kayu. Debu dapat menimbulkan efek berupa gangguan fungsi paru apabila melebihi kadar ambang batas dan paparan yang cukup lama. Kapasitas fungsi paru dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu umur, masa kerja, kebiasaan olahraga, status gizi dan pemakaian masker . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa hubungan antara karakteristik pekerja (umur, masa kerja, kebiasaan olahraga, status gizi) dan pemakaian masker dengan kapasitas fungsi paru pada pekerja wanita bagian pengampelasan di industri mebel ”x” Wonogiri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square dan Fisher Exact. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 18 orang dengan jenis kelamin perempuan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner keluhan subyektif, spirometer, microtoise, timbangan berat badan dan HVS (High Volume Sampler). Hasil analisis bivariat dengan uji Fisher Exact diperoleh nilai p=0,019. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pemakaian masker dengan kapasitas fungsi paru. Dari uji statistic menggunakan Chi Square dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% (0,05) dengan nilai p < 0,05 dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara umur dengan kapasitas fungsi paru, tidak ada hubungan antara masa kerja dengan kapasitas fungsi paru, tidak ada hubungan antara kebiasaan olahraga dengan kapasitas fungsi paru, tidak ada hubungan antara status gizi dengan kapasitas fungsi paru, ada hubungan antara pemakaian masker dengan kapasitas fungsi paru.     Conceptual Level on Electricity in Logical-Mathematical and Naturalist Intelligence of Elementary School Students

    Abstract. For a teacher who teaches science concepts to a group of students, they ought to investigate the level of understanding from various background, including one of the differences in the dominant multiple intelligences (MI) possessed by students. This level of understanding can be identified from the ability of students to understand concepts in a series of learning phases through tests of understanding the initial concepts and final concepts of a topic of teaching material. This study aims to map the level of conceptual change in electricity based on two types of elementary school students' MI, namely logical-mathematical intelligence and naturalist intelligence through a problem-based learning model with a scientific approach and experimental methods. The research findings show that 1) the profile of students' multiple intelligence levels in the logical-mathematical type of intelligence has a relatively similar trend pattern with naturalist intelligence in the subjects studied and in the learning process about electricity; 2) students are distributed at the level of understanding based on their conceptual change from initial understanding to final understanding in almost all categories, with the largest percentage (47.83%) of students being at the level of revising with 4 different variants, and 4.35% of students being at the level of complete their knowledge; and 3) students' understanding of the concept of electricity is randomly distributed at all conceptual levels, both on the type of logical-mathematical multiple intelligence and on the type of naturalist intelligence

Adanya kode etik notaris bertujuan untuk menjagaperilaku notaris dalam menjalankan jabatannya. Dalam menjalankan jabatannya, notarisharus menghormati dan menjunjung tinggi harkat dan martabat jabatan notaris, menjagadan membela kehormatan perkumpulan. Tetapi, dalam Kenyataannya notaris seringmelakukan hal yang beresiko dalam menjalankan jabatannya, yaitu dengan menerimapenitipan sertifikat hak atas tanah dari para pihak. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahuilarangan penerimaan titipan sertifikat hak atas tanah oleh notaris dan mengetahui hubunganketerkaitan antara larangan penerimaan titipan sertifikat hak atas tanah oleh notaris dengan kode etik notaris.
